+ -1 moreThey came out and diagnosed the problem and returned the same day with the parts. We are very happy with them. I didn't shop around because I use them so often. It's definitely better than average. If you don't get a hold of them the first call, they get back with you in 5 or 10 minutes.

Description of Work: As per earlier review, these folks were suggested by a neighbor, and we had a great discussion with the owner when we first contacted the here, but then we kept being told that next week, next week, and that is why our earlier review was negative. However, after they responded and came to do the work, they did an excellent job, and my only suggestion is that maybe they need to hire more folks during the peak months.

+ -1 moreThey were suggested by a neighbor and had a good initial call with their owner, but they kept moving our appointment, and that is why I left an earlier negative review. However, once they go thru what I assumed was a very large backlog of clients, they came and did an excellent job. My only suggestion is that they think about hiring more folks if they get this kind of demand every year because they are not only loosing business, but we almost canceled our appointment after waiting for weeks. Glad we did not as they were excellent & we will use them again.

+ -1 moreExcellent! Pete called me after a long's day work and was already familiar with my problem so after a little conversation, he said he would get his guys out there tomorrow. The following morning, Pete called to say they were on their way and upon arriving, they went right to work. They repaired the leak, checked for any further leaks and added the necessary refrigerant. Most impressively, I was shown many tips on how to maintain the A/C (besides just changing the filter) and some areas of concern that could potentially create problems down the road. The above and beyond service was very welcomed after dealing with the original company that I purchased two new units from. Upon completion of their work, I was shown the repair and the EXTRA service they provided that would hopefully help alleviate future problems. Furthermore, their price was way below the original company's estimate. Their service was professional, they were knowledgable and great about sharing information that informs me.
Description of Work: Repair 2.5 year old A/C unit that was freezing up and not working.

+ -1 moreHe made two repairs this time first just Jr. and he thought I needed new exchanger but was able to recharge and cleared condensation pipes all seemed ok paid like $450. Then it happened again I called him out and he came as quick as could with another employee with him they worked on and the fan seemed to be vibrating and he took out of furnace and cleaned and then reworked the drain on the unit that is like a drain. After he fixed that so far no more problems. I think we paid another $250. I truly think they tried but I I took all these months to think about reviewing them, I decided to put this on here. I love Pete and his son but the money I paid was too much. I would have been better off to have had the rest of the system renewed. I'm disappointed and it is all feeling I was charged too much. I need to get an annual inspection and service and the vibration has gotten wourse. Don't know what to do.

+ -1 moreIt has been OVER a Month since I contacted and talked to the owner at length - Pete. First there was a miscommunication on prices with one of our associations' board member, and I understood - no problem. Then, he explained they were very busy, so in the next week. I understood, but it is July 26, and we reached out to them on June 17, and we were just looking at a deep coil cleansing. Nice people, but they don't have the time or people, so don't waste your time. Not worth it.

I called a few companies including Puccis the day after Christmas and was surprised not just to get an answer but the owner personally stopped by 2 hours later to troubleshoot for a repair. After inspecting the system he advised why adding a new one made more sense than a costly repair. I appreciated his straight-forward approach. I felt as if he was treating it as if it was his house and what was best for us. I knew our system was old and had given us more years than I expected. He quoted me a price for a new system, explaining the pros and cons of different options. Being a Saturday, I expected to have to wait a few days for installation but due to the warm weather, he fit us in 2 days later. The crew arrived on time, worked hard into the evening to get everything right, and the new system is quieter and cooler than our old one (we got a Trane system). What impressed me most was that Mr. Pucci called that night to follow up and make sure everything was cooling well. I was appreciative of all they accomplished in such a short time and the personable guidance offered.

+ 1 moreI own a rental home in Orlando. While I was in town to do some maintenance work on the house I realized my 20 year old A/C unit was near its end-of-life. I referenced Angie list and got about 15 names with A ratings. The range of AC units and price ranges boggled my mind. Pucci's Company had zero negative reviews. I contacted Pete Pucci and I was impressed by his knowledge of the available brands and what was the best for my house and my budget. I talked to him on Monday and on Thursday of that week his crew installed the units. His son Pete Jr. meanwhile advised me on a bath shower leak problem I was working on. He also gave me the name of a trusted irrigation man to fix my sprinkler problems. I was able to leave for home on Sunday all my problems resolved.

+ 0 moreThe 24 year old Rheem compressor is dead. Sigh. To completely replace the unit means a whole new system & the average cost for that is over $4000 no matter how you look at it. Just the cost of replacing the compressor if they had a used one somewhere in the warehouse, with the $100/pound cost of the freon instead of the new stuff; was bad enough... IF there was a used compressor to be had... So in the meantime my significant fitted the house with a small window unit to at least cool down the 15 year old who has never known his Florida home without AC. And we're all on the lookout for a 2.5 ton compressor, used, but still in working order that we can have the Pucci's replace our dead one with. Fingers crossed, I'll keep in touch. I would DEFINITELY say that these people are worth every penny, that they won't do a thing without letting you exactly what is wrong, & why its wrong & what to expect out of variations of fixing what is wrong. They are the BEST. Pick these people to be your permanent AC people, for one unit, for many units. They won't let you down & they won't steer you wrong.
Description of Work: We lost what we had hoped would be just the electrical products between the breaker & the compressor on a 24 year old Rheem at my stepson's mother's house last Saturday the 2nd of August. No such luck. Yesterday was hot, muggy & just plain awful, our normal August weather. We put in a cal & a similar request on Angie's list on Monday to see if the Pucci family could come over & ascertain just what was the matter with the unit, in the hopes that a troubleshoot or a tuneup would be enough to fix the unit, which sits in full sun, on the only side of the house not shaded with mature hardwoods or palms at all. Nope. After we got a call from one of Mr. Pete Pucci's sons & complied with texts back & forth between all of them, discussing what my significant had done to clean up the outside compressor/fan unit, shop vac the leaves & dirt out of the outside unit, & making sure that the breakers were off, so that work could be started if we weren't there when the repair team showed up... The repair team showed up right around noon, & we were given the bad news less than an hour later after they went through & patiently updated & tried to fix all the steps between the breaker & the compressor.

+ -1 moreAn amazing company. I have used them several times for yearly maintenance on our air conditioners. They are always prompt, informative, professional, and knowledgeable. After cleaning the units, they realized that one was running constantly and said that would drive up the AC bill. Another technician came out and found that we had a bad relay switch and some wiring issues. It was great to get everything fixed so promptly. I would highly recommend this company.

+ -1 moreHe liked our Yorkie, & told us of his sons & how they have helped to take over his business. He also gave me a good lead on a roofer, if not a building contractor for which I'm having trouble finding one to work on such a small house. All in all he was in & out within an HOUR, & had everything taken care of. AMAZING. We were worried about him, stayed with him for the most part while he worked because it was HOT & muggy out, humidity over 92%! But he was super professional & got the work done, inspected the rest of the system & told us that except for cleaning the coils & keeping the filter clean & replaced, that we shouldn't have any further problems with the unit for a few years more. He said that it sounded GREAT for such an old system & couldn't believe that the fan motor had lasted so long. He replaced our 1.5 hp motor with a 2.0 hp new motor & fan top. Excellent. We chatted while he also replaced the capacitor & his quote was spot on for the work, $360. He told me that he was so worried about me, that he'd hopped over 8 other calls, to come see me; & that he knew what it was like to be disabled to the point of worry when something utlitity goes down. I told him about our EXCELLENT experience with Green's plumbing/septic & also told him that we'd refer him. His statement to me, was that he was going to have to ask Angie's list to only run him every other month, because they coudln't keep up with the LEADS. Now I'M thinking of getting my company on Angies list through referrals! Update: 4pm, system has been running about 2 hours, since he left. Humidity in the house has dropped from 50% down to 44 % & temperature from 85 to 79. AWESOME By the way, almost none of this would have been possible had I not also had 3 EIGHTY FOOT Oak trees over the roof of my house. Thank goodness for Master Arborists too!
Description of Work: We lost our AC fan motor yesterday morning during a massive rain shower. The condenser outside threw sparks, the motor got really hot &the fan wouldn't spin freely once the system was offline. We've been having on & off issues with it, due to hooligans in the area, once kicking the condenser off of its stand & someone who might have been trying to steal the whole outside unit, that doesn't have a kill switch, so they left if half off of the slab. We fixed it that time, Thank you U Tube! but this time there was no fixing it with an off the shelf motor & we weren't sure what we were going to do. I called some referrals from other friends, but no one would get back to us yesterday. Even Westbrook's 24/7 service had us on hold "momentarily" for about 15 minutes with no one coming to the line. Finally looking on Angies' list & reading reviews, I found Mr. Pucci, & a plus, he was reasonably local, original from NJ, I'm from Long Island, & open until at least 8pm. I quick did a search of the reviews, all of them, & based on the reviews I took the chance & called. Pete Pucci picked up on the 4th ring. We chatted & I apologized for the lateness of the call. I explained my disability, & the worry that between the dog who couldn't take the heat & my graft which REALLY couldn't take the humidity; that I was worried that we might not be able to get anyone until Thursday, & I quickly said that we would try to last that long if he couldn't make it today. He told me that his sons were booked solid & that he wasn't allowed by his wife & family to go out due to his COPD but he would see what he could do. Low & behold, 11:30am this morning, our wolf door bell rang & there he was! He told me that he snuck out & said that he was going to Lowes. I told him I wouldn't tell. But I HAVE to give this review, because its got SHINING COLORS writ all over it. Mr. Pucci quickly confirmed what he had stated on the phone last night, with my significant helping him to clip the wires to the very stuck fan motor & showed us both that it was pretty much toast. Between he & my significant, they shop vacc'ed the interior of the condenser, it had about a foot of old dirt & leaves inside; which he praised for being in such good shape for at least being 15 years old; & probably a little older since it was an off brand. \

Pete Pucci laughed and told us that our AC unit should last for many more years of reliable service, with proper ongoing maintenance. He patiently answered all of my questions, and didn't try to bewilder me with jargon. A true honest professional! I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone with AC needs -- especially if another company is advising you that you need to purchase a new system or unit, or that a very expensive repair is necessary.
