Paint Squad

Painter gave me a consultation at my home. He kept wanting to tell me how slow they are and how little they could paint in 7 hours. I understand it is a slow process to do right. I have painted before and disagree with what could be done in this time period.

Antonio did state when he saw the job that it would take longer than the 3 hour special I had purchased, so he wanted to charge an additional $75, I agreed and the job took 5 hours so that seemed fair. The man who actually did the work was pleasant and thorough. My only complaint was that the retaped seam is a little more visible than I would have liked, but since they had to use heavier taping I suppose that couldn't be helped. He did an excellent job on the small ceiling area, popcorn blended in perfectly, can't tell it was ever touched. I would use them again.

The job turned out fine, but I got the impression that they were mostly interested in upselling us for other work. I was satisfied with the quality of the work -- it looks very nice.

I originally wrote a review that they were amazing b/c they did have quite the task to perform and they did a great job repairing. They even worked all weekend to get it done. But unfortunately, not only did they not finish some of the details, but they did a horrible job on finishing my ceiling. It's plaster and, instead of applying wet plaster with a spatula and smoothing it off, they sprayed something (plaster/cement?) onto my ceiling and made it look like a really bad knock down job. I asked them repeatedly to come back and fix it so I could have my house in order before my parents arrived to see it for the first time (all my furniture from my dining room was in my living room and there was construction dust everywhere). I didn't clean or rearrange my furniture for 3 solid weeks b/c they kept promising they'd come and then not show up or call me at the last minute to tell me they had another job they couldn't leave. I hate to leave such a bad review but after having worked on sanding the ceiling for 3 nights myself and never hearing back from them when they had to cancel the last time I attempted to get them back over, I feel like I need to warn people that they are probably excellent painters but agreed to do a job they ultimately left looking "D" grade.

Well let's just say I understand why we call them professionals! I had painted the interior of my house by myself when I first moved in 8 years ago. I thought I did a decent job, just was time consuming. So fast forward to now, I started researching different companies on Angie's List to remove wallpaper & paint the interior of my house, Paint Squad was one of the selected companies. I had already had two quotes when I remembered I had hired Paint Squad to paint my place of business. Antonio came out to give me a free quote and started explaining the process to me room by room. And in the beginning I felt he was trying to offer me services I didn't need as I just wanted a "simple" paint job. The heavy discussion was interior vs exterior paint...with me just wanting quality & cheap. Antonio ended up painting one of my rooms the way he wanted and I painted another the way I wanted it. I waited a week before I called him back & offered him the job! I had 2 of my friends look at both rooms and got their opinions and they both chose the room Antonio & his team painted. I now have an understanding of priming & interior vs exterior paint and why knowledgeable & professional painters exist. Paint Squad removed wallpaper, painted my kitchen, den, dining room, bathrooms, & living room. I'm more than satisfied and when I'm ready to do my upstairs, I'm calling on the "Professional" Paint Squad again as Antonio and his "squad" are truly professional & knowledgeable experts in the art of painting and home improvements.

Provider never called us initially, we had to send another email requesting him to call. once he called, he promised to call the next morning and never did. we called him 4 days later and he said he was too busy to do anything soon, we told him we would look elsewhere to get service done so he then said that he could definitely get the job done. he called back later that day and said he would come out today and that we need to leave him a good review since he was taking care of us...he never showed up!! he called later that night and asked if he could come the next morning, we let him know that we requested a refund/cancel big deal from angies list.

Needed tile and drywall repaired. Project was completed promptly and accurately.

Antonio had problems getting ahold of me. He said he lleft a message but I did not get it. When he showed up he was not prepared. He did not have the supplies he needed. When he saw the ceiling he said it would cost $50.00 more because it was a popcorn ceiling. I did not relize I had to pay for the supplies needed so that was an additional charge of $85.00. I do not feel the work done was up to proffesional standards.

Antonio, I would like to personally Thank You and your staff for the professional effort put forth during the interior painting of my first home. Your timing, as you know, is essential in to your business. Commitments made by companies, as yourself, are very critical. I will say that your company is the best I?ve ever dealt with. It?s a pleasure knowing there still are quality service companies still in existence and you lead the pack!

Tony, the owner, can and gave us an estimate for paint needed and price. So we agreed to have it started after Christmas. As it turns out the weather did not cooperate, not their fault, and they started a couple weeks later. Or I should say Doug, not Tony whom we never saw or heard from again (until he was yelling at me on the phone) started the job. Tony said he we needed to buy 10 gallons of sealer and 23 gallons of paint. He also said it would take two days and maybe part of a third to get it done. Well it took 4 days, we have a 3100 sq ft, two story house, and only took 5 gallons of sealer and 15 gallons of paint. So we have a lot of extra paint, and we have Tony calling yelling at us saying it's taking too long, even though Doug arrived around 9:00 and usually left when started to get dark. Tony was yelling at me since I could not give him a time or percentage estimate left to finish since I am not a painter. He also refused to listen to what we agreed to with his painter.

They showed up to do an estimate of painting one room and, if there was time, fixing a couple of walls I messed up on. They said there was no way they could do the one room in 8 hours (it is a bedroom) and tried to get me to pay an additional $250 to complete the bedroom and fix my earlier mistakes. They were concerned about the name of their business and if they did a half-a** job it would be their name on the finished product and they needed more than 8 hours to do the room. I told them I just needed the bedroom done as the priority and they said they could start that day but would have to come back on Sunday to finish. I went to buy the paint and in the meantime they called and said they wouldn't be able to even start until Sunday. I said I needed it before then because we were moving on Sunday. Then they called back and said they were sending over another one of their trucks to take care of the job that day but I was so frustrated at that point I just said nevermind.

I left messages by phone twice to ask them a question and get information about a paint job. They never returned my call, which is why I rate them F in both responsiveness and professionalism. To not return a call is unprofessional. I suppose they must have plenty of business to keep them busy.

I agreed to have the company do the work. Tony was very personable and I feel confident he will do what he said he will do, and I believe he will do a good job. I live out of state and this project is a rental property. He is scheduled to complete the job after the color choices are approved by the review board in Celebration, but is starting on the prep work on Friday. He agreed to supply photographs and video electronically as the job progresses.

I felt like I was getting hustled the entire time. They were saying they couldn't even do one room of my house for the $400 deal that I purchased.

They were very professional and punctual. I called and asked to get an estimate that same day and they accommodated to my needs. I really cannot complain. I ended up hiring another company but I would call this company at another time if needed.

I did file a complaint through Angie's list which prompted the resolution of my concern. By the end of the experience, all was well.

It went fine. They didn’t do any painting, they just prep work as they whole house needed preparation before painting

I was very fortunate that Tony agreed to help me and when it was completed it was a wonderful. This company is very detailed and the workmanship is excellent. Tony does a tremendous job in managing his crews and oversees all the work to make sure it is at the highest standard. I was so impressed with the Paint Squad's work, my family is using their services to paint the entire interior of their remodeled home

TONY IS GREAT, REALLY made a tough situation work. We had only four days to totally clean and paint our house after removing a renter. One word of advice, INSIST that he is present for the work. The larger wall holes patched by the crew the first day, Tony was on another job, needed to all be redone. We give Tony an A++++++++++ but his "B Crew" the first day took breaks every 20 minutes, spilled paint on tile and really did a poor patch job. Like stated above, I would use and recommend Paint Squad, just would require Tony to be on the job.

Excellent !! The work was performed on schedule and as agreed. They adapted and responded to all requests in an outstanding manner.

They were very sloppy in getting things they said they were gonna do. They thrashed my rugs and didn't even clean it.

I was walked through the entire process with what was to be done and approximate completion time. An estimate was presented to me within 24 hours and work was scheduled by the next day. If further repair or suggestions were found during the process, i was notified prior to the work being completed.

I'm a Government entity, so I have to have a total of three bids for every project over $500. We generally always go with the lowest bidder (which in my mind, you get what you pay for!) Paint Squad was chosen (lowest bidder) but this company quickly dispelled the myth! The company was prompt and ready to work on the agreed upon start date, due to the nature of our business this was a PLUS!! The first project was pressure wash and paint the outside of our building and sidewalks, which turned out GREAT. The second project was to strip/wax the drill hall floor and clean grout and tile in our office and restroom/shower. This was by far the most important project as we are a maintenance facility with ivory tile and grout and was about to have our annual state inspection. This company was able to restore the tile back to its natural state and I received a Commendable on my inspection. The latest project was the office conversion, our building was designed to hold a certain amount of people, but due to state reorganization, we had to make room for more people which included more offices, once again Paint Squad beat out two other competitors. This company has proved the the lowest bidder can also be the BEST company!!! I would recommend Paint Squad to any business or home owner!!

Antonio was very knowledgable about exterior painting and home repairs. Antonio was on time for the free estimate and took the time to explain the process of the work needed. He was very professional. Paint Squad was hired to repair wood flooring in my home, near a window in my dining room. Water damages was identified, corrected and wood flooring was repaired. It looks like new and you cant tell there was any damage. The best part about my experience with this contractor was that the repairs were done quickly. I waited to write the post because I wanted to see if the water damage repair was truly fixed. Still looks good. I will be using Paint Squad again!!!!
