Employees were professional and kept me informed about the install. Cleaned up any mess that they made before leaving which was minimal. It was a good experience for our family.
Description of Work: Installed new 4 ton 15 seer heat pump system. I will get a $1,500.00 rebate back so unit ends up not being as expensive as it appears.

The entire installation was done in a day and we are pleased with the results. Would recommend them for both service and installation.
Description of Work: Heinmiller had warned us on their last service visit that our 20 year old Bryant heat pump was about to go...they were not wrong. It died about 2 months later. They recommended replacing both the air handler and heat pump with a whole new system that would give us a 1500.00 IRS credit and a 200.00 OUC credit. We agreed.

Within 24 hours of a completed service call for other work items, the compressor stopped working. It had 2 years left on a 10 year warranty so the work was for labor only. I thought the price was high but aurhorized the work. Later called 2 other A/C "Angie's List 'A'" contractors to see how much I was overcharged and was shocked to find out Heinmiller was the lowest priced at $787. The other two bids were $850 and over $900.
Description of Work: Replace 2 ton A/C compressor under warranty.

A contactor was stuck (due to ants) in the outside conderser unit which caused the unit to run continuously. Cleaned contactor of ant droppings and unit ran as called for by thermostat. The cost of this service was $43 in addition to diagnostic fee. Washed out condenser unit (which was clearly clogged with dust) with landlord provided water hose for $43 in addition to cost of diagnottic service. He cleaned out the clogged drain which cost was included in the diagnostic fee of $79 which service was agreed upon when I asked for a service call. When he left the unit was apparently working ok. However, overnight the unit stopped cooling necessitating another service call which will be the subject of another report.
Description of Work: A/C compressor ran continuously, drain pipe needed cleaning; outside unit needed cleaning.

The appointment was scheduled for 10am on a Saturday. When I made the appointment, the lady said someone would call me Friday night or Saturday morning to confirm. I received no calls. I waited in my house Saturday until 12 and no one showed up or even called. I wasted half my day waiting for them. I called afterward to ensure I was not mistaken about when my appointment was. The lady that answered the phone was very polite and professional and apologized for the error. She very graciously offered to have someone come out and provide the quote as soon as I needed, but I'd rather not do business with this company if they cannot even get a simple appointment correct and I'd rather not risk wasting my time again.

They were very nice to work with. They came when they said they would and performed the work and the a/c is working fine now. I especially appreciate that they let me pay them over the phone because the work was done on a rental property and I do not live in the same city. I will definitely use them again. It is very refreshing to find honest and qualified people to work with.

I can not begin to express in words how completely grateful my husband and I are to the Heinmiller company, and staff for truly outstanding and honest work ethic. I have never been so happy to spend hundreds of dollars on a repair for anything in my life. We bought our home in 2005 with a one year old Trane system in place. We had a home owners warranty and we renewed that agreement annually. In 2008 we spent thousands of dollars on misdiagnosis, extremely high energy bills and eventually labor for another compressor under warranty plus other parts we were told we needed at that time. This year began to feel like a repeat of the nightmare of 2008 with expensive energy bills, bad service, bad advice and no working A/C during last week with a heat index of over 100 for many days. We had a company charge us for a service call with a pound of Freon at the start of the week only to have our home temperature rise to over 90 degrees inside. That company returned to let us know the next day we needed another compressor. We asked questions, and we were told by several companies that we should not invest in another compressor or parts and labor due to likely failure again soon. We were told to invest in a completely new system. On Thursday, June 17, Todd from Heinmiller sales dept arrived to review our system and issues. He suggested we have a service call to be sure we needed a new system since it was only six years old. He explained that service and team were experts, and I agreed another service call would be a good idea even though I had doubts. Later that pm, after a very hot and very long day with no hope of a solution, Sean arrived from the service team. He patiently waited for lightning to stop so he could actually diagnose the problem. He was not only able to explain to my husband and I what the problem was; he was able to get our compressor on and functional enough that we didn?t have to spend another sleepless night in extreme heat. On Friday, June 18th I was contacted by Brian who let me know the needed part was available, and we would be notified of when the service would be scheduled that day. That afternoon, again in another violent afternoon storm, Sean showed up and was able to replace the part and ensure our system was running. It was great bonus to have our family for Father?s Day weekend as planned at home. We have learned some very expensive lessons. Home warranties/companies are worthless to home owners as the vendors are no where near capable of correct diagnosis. A reputable company with great employees, honest work and integrity as a core value are something I didn?t believe existed in this industry until Heinmiller became our new and permanent service provider. Integrity starts at the top with the leadership in an organization and filters down to all who work for the company. It is clearly the priority at Heinmiller and their entire team should be thanked for such as great job from our family to theirs!
Description of Work: First and most importantly, ACCURATE diagnosis of the problem and broken part. Replaced TXV a valve that regulates flow of freon inside the air handler. After multiple misdiagnosed problems and many AC companies telling us to get either a new compressor or an entire new system.

I just wanted to have my AC unit given a routine cooling operation inspection. The Heinmiller technition checked the unit and found the system to be operating OK. He cleaned the air filter, flushed the drain line and checked pressures, temperatures, Amps, etc.... There was none of his trying to selling me something unnecessary which has been my experience with other services. He was both professional and respectful. I would speak very highly of this company in giving my recommendations to call on them.

The service man took his time inspecting both the outside unit as well as the inside ductwork. He also installed a new thermostat for us and gave us some tips to make our A/C more efficient.

We used Heinmiller in the past for the annual A/C maintenance. We didn't have any problems last year, so we thought it was a good idea to do it again in the spring. The technician cleaned out the drain pipes. We have an old unit, and I'd rather have it cleaned out before it gets clogged and runs into the carpet. He checked both units. Hopefully we'll have another great year without any problems.

My AC system had not been serviced since 1999 and had been having some intermittent electrical problems that a previous company had been unable to repair. The technician arrived on time and repaired the electrical problem (replaced a faulty relay) within 10 minutes before starting the general maintenance procedures of checking refrigerant pressure, cleaning coils, and clearing drains. I am completely satisfied with the work done.

The technician was here for awhile, cleaning out the coils, cleaning the drains, and checking everything. He seemed very honest, and even tried to give us a discount for $10 off spring service, but unfortunately it starts at the end of March. He said they give a 90 day warranty on the drain, which was my main concern, so that it doesn't back up into the house. I was happy with using this company, and will call them again in the future, if we have any problems.

The technician arrived promptly at the scheduled time and was very professional. He was very thorough and took care of the maintenance, including replacing a contact on the outside unit, quickly. He described everything he had done completely and made recommendations to us to keep our system running efficiently. He also indicated that even though our system was about 16 years old, it was in very good shape (in other words, didn't try to "suggest" we should look into buying new!). Will definitely use again - have already had them put us on the calendar for next year's maintenance.

When I moved here 3 years ago, I searched for an AC/Heat company. I was cautious because I had had a bad experience with a company I previously trusted at my old house in another county. This was pre-Angie's List, so I looked in the phone book. I called several companies and interviewed them, finally settled on Heinmiller's. I knew the name well because I grew up in Orlando. The first time someone came out to do the semi-annual service, I was happy. There were only a few little things that needed to be done, like retaping a seam, etc. He cleaned my filters and cleaned the drain, usual stuff. He advised me about getting digital thermometer, and said I could get it cheaper myself than buying it from his company. I bought a yearly contract for 2 services per year, which gives me 10% off of any repairs I need. I was so impressed with Sean, the technician who came out, that I request him every time service is scheduled. I feel he takes great pains with my system, is very personable and knowledgeable.
Description of Work: This was a semi-annual maintenance service. He checked everything, cleaned the filters, explained some things relative to how my system was set up by the installer, such as why I can't clean the drain myself. The $125 is for 2 maintenance services a year with a 10% discount for any other work done. Sean, the technician is unrushed and thorough and has given me a lot of help and information. I request Sean everytime I schedule service. He is wonderful!

I initially had Heinmiller come out to do regular maintenance ($79.95) and was told my A/C was in good shape. Then about 3 weeks later on a Sunday my thermostat shut down. I called Heinmiller and in an hour was contacted by Oscar (on Sunday). He came out and fixed the problem (outdated fire trip switch) and told me he would hold the invoice open as they had just performed maintenance 3 weeks before. Later that day my A/C was acting strangely so I called Heinmiller back and Oscar responded immediately (on Sunday). By the time he arrived my A/C was working again so I felt kind of foolish. He did a no-charge invoice and was very nice. How many times do you get an A/C company come out on a Sunday twice at no charge? I will always use this company.

The technician, Richard, has worked on the heat pump systems in two houses I have lived in. He's very honest and reliable. When he came out to do the spring/summer maintenance of my unit, he noticed that the coil in the air handler was leaking. He didn't recommend repairing the coil, because the way it has to be repaired would just weaken the coil further, thus causing more leaks. He was very upfront with my choices, repair the coil, replace the coil, or replace the air handler.

I used Heinmiller until recently for my twice yearly A/C general maintenance and was general pleased with them. I only had one complaint with the office. I work in the mornings, and I always told them that I needed them to come in the afternoon. It never failed that the office would screw this up and I would get a call that they were on their way when it was still morning and I was at the office. I would say, "come after 1pm please" when I made the appointment, and they would OK it, but then they would come at 10 am. However, my big problem came when my air conditioner broke down. Because they seemed OK for routine maintenance and I had gotten the service contract, I trusted them to fix the A/C. They had to come back three times, and it was still broken. I lost enough work time and money, let alone frustration, that I finally called another company to fix it.
Description of Work: Biannual cleaning A/C, check up. Fix (or should I say DID NOT FIX) broken A/C.

I am very pleased with this company. We had previously used another service company that I prefer not to name. We used them for three years and they always stated we need the same part repaired. They came right out and were reliable, and made no comment about the previously mentioned part that had to be replaced all the time.
Description of Work: We had them come in to perform a maintenance check up ($125 for two check ups: one summer, one winter to come) and to install a new thermostat, which we provided ($85).

It was absolutely excellent work. They came out and checked the existing a/c unit and it was working. Later it quit, so they came back and analyzed what was wrong. They ended up putting in a whole new unit. After the installation, they came back on 3 different occasions to check out the unit to see if all was running okay. They were extremely timely and professional.

Very well. Man came out next day when promised. (I was in no rush, just scheduling a routine maintenance) Upon arrival he said to me that his company had just received an emergency call for service nearby and would it be okay if he took care of that call first, promising to return within two hours. I said certainly, I was home for the day anyway, and I was impressed with his desire and the desire of him and his company to provide the best service possible. He returned in less than two hours and completed all work. About a month and a half later I found the condensate drain pump running continuously. I beat on it until it stopped and called Heinmiller and a man was at my house within three hours. He cleaned some debris that had jammed the pump switch. No charge, he said the other serviceman should have cleaned it more thoroughly. That may have been true, but it was nice to have the serviceman volunteer the opinion rather than claim that it was possible that additional debris had gotten into the drain pan and charge me for the call.
Description of Work: Routine semiannual central A/C preventative maintenance. Clean coils, top up Freon, check compressor, outside condenser, air handler, condensate drain pump, etc. I purchased an annual maintenance agreement for two maintenance tuneups upon completion of the call.

Discovered my A/C was not working about 7PM on a Friday night. Called several companies and Heinmiller was the only one that called me back and within about 15 minutes. Tony talked me through several possibilities and determined the problem was most likely with my compressor's fan motor. He said someone would be out the next day most likely by noon. When I had not heard from anyone by 11:45AM on Saturday, I called the office and again received a very prompt call back from Tony. He apologized for the mix-up and said he would personally come out between 1:00-2:00PM. He arrived within that time frame. Upon opening the compressor panel, he noticed right away that the capacitor looked faulty. He replaced it immediately which corrected the fan problem. He tested the refrigerant levels and cleaned the drain hose. The work was done in about 20 minutes. Tony was very professional and pleasant about showing me what he was doing and why.

Our home is quite large and requires two units. They came and had us up and running in about two days. They work fast and I trust them in my home even if I am not home. I know that they are dependable. They have been in business for forty years. I think that says something about a company.
