Cory is the technician who provided me with a quote on February 3, 2014. The work was to replace a cartridge in my master shower and to replace the dip tube in my master shower. Cory placed me on his first call of the day for Monday February 10, 2014. Cory arrived on time. He began working on replacing the dip tube. He found that the tube did not need to be replaced. Cory then replaced the cartridge. Cory then spent the time to trace why the hot water was running out while taking a shower. He checked water temp in the guest bathroom, the kitchen, and the master bathroom. All showed 130 degrees. The tech felt the problem lay in the cross-flow of hot and cold water. He did not feel that neither the thermostat, nor the heating element needs to be replaced. He felt the problem lay with the defective cartridge which he replaced. He suggested to give it a couple of days in order to test if hot water continues to run out while taking a shower. The needed repair was amazingly quick. And I was more impressed with the time he spent in troubleshooting my hot water problem. What would have cost $385 ended costing $153. I am more than pleased with the entire experience. I would not hesitate to use Ferran again.

Plumbing went great. The crew had been here before so they were familiar. They came when scheduled and finished on time. Price was reasonable, maybe not the best but within budget and quote which is more important. |The wiring was within quote and budget as well. Work quality was good and they were willing to return for some items that were not quite done as directed. I don't consider that a problem as there is always something that will "get lost in translation". |Would I use them again? Yes

It was not a complicated job, but unfortunately it was in an outdoor location, and not easily accessible since their were shrubs nearby. However, the representative was friendly, efficient and professional.

The electrician fixed the problem when he found out what it was. He had the equipment necessary and installed it then and there. He did an excellent job and completed the job within a hour. Great job.

I called on 1/17/2014. I was connected to a sales rep's telephone who did not answer. The operator said she would connect me to his voice mail, which she did. I left a message telling the rep. that I wanted to buy a Trane18i A/C system immediately for my home. I also left my Name and telephone number clearly on his voice mail. I waited for 3 days-no response. I contracted with a more professional company I found on Angie's List. They responded the same day of my call and gave me a great deal. Your loss Ferran.

I found out from another HVAC repair company that my compressor shorted out and either I paid a large sum to fix the compressor on a 10 year unit, or I replace the unit entirely with a newer unit. We got an estimate from that company and one from Ferran. The people at Ferran were very professional. At the time, it was hot so we had no a/c and if we had to use the heat it would have been very costly to run until it was replaced. | |Ferran did a complete a/c load evaluation and properly calculated the size unit we needed, where the other company just quoted based on the prior a/c installation. Since we put in a few thermal windows, the size of our unit actually went down. They sealed up the ducts and further inspected them. We are still waiting on an upgraded thermostat which will be here in a few days. It's Christmas and with all the bad weather and Christmas package backlog, it's not a surprise it's late. No matter, they installed a temporary thermostat similar to what we will have. Actually, we were delighted to have the unit installed on Thursday when we only accepted the quote on Tuesday. Christmas was on Wednesday. I would use them again and would recommend them to others. All of the guys were very professional.

I had a leak somewhere between my guest bathroom and indoor AC handler. The contractor was on time and professional and took about 2-3 hours to fix the leak. It was from behind the sink and in the wall so it was not an easy one to get to. I would use Ferran again. The price for the visit came out to $267 with the $25 Angie's List coupon

Ferran was prompt in responding to my emergency. This happened after mid-night; and I had to shut the water to the house to prevent flooding. I left an email on Ferran website; cause I wasn't sure they had service during the night; and frankly I was to exhausted from this event to wait. Promptly that morning they called me and responded immediately to my dilemma. They were extremely cordial and I was very pleased with the service and will call again if needed; which I did, two weeks later; to install a laundry sink for me; which they set up for me immediately, that day in fact. Charles, one of their plumbers, is very friendly and went out of his way to explain my many questions with patience. I found this company extremely reliable, prompt and courteous. Would recommend to anyone who asked.

it went beautifully. "salesman" was not pushy, very helpful and did not disappear once the sale was made. very supportive to me and made sure at different times of the day during installation that everything was going smoothly with the technicians. everything was cleaned up after the job was done. Water was leaking up slowly between two kitchen floor tiles. I was concerned it would require drilling through the floor. Phoned Ferran'sd and someone was out here an hour later. He cleared out everything from under the double sink and found water standing below lines going to the cold water faucet. Since the leak had been showing up 18 or 20 inches away from the sink cabinet, I was so relieved to know it was not as serious as expected. Hw replaced the broken line connection intake line to faucet line. The other connecting line was OK but did not look so good so I told him it was OK to replace that one also. Preventative "medicine", so to speak. We have been using Ferrans for almost 30 years and have always been very satisfied.

This is not the first time we have used this contractor. If you want someone that has knowledgeable employees this is the contractor to go with. They were called in to source the leak inside of wall. It turned out to be under the slab. They offered the option to cut tile and find and repair leak OR replumb entire house with PVC as existing water pipes were copper that would eventually leak again. The crew worked Friday, Monday and finished job on Tuesday. Performed clean cuts of drywall to minimize cost to repair. All pipes inside and outside of house work perfectly. Knowledgeable, efficient, courteous and professional employees. Will use them again.

The technician was very good, I had initially called Ferran because I thought I had something wrong with my sewer line. However, the technician Marco explained that the smell could be coming from chemicals or fertilizer my lawn service uses. I believe he was right because I haven't smelled any sewer odor for several days now. The technician was excellent about cleaning up any mess . He also was very patient about answering all my questions. The most important thing is he SHOWED UP ON TIME!!!!!

In the first visit, two men came out and were able to take down the existing fan, but did not have a tall enough ladder to reach my ceiling to do the rest of the job. I had to reschedule for another day and they put in my pre purchased fan and were able to run the existing wired through the pipe that suspended my broken fan from the 19' ceiling. Unfortunately, the switch only worked the light. I called them back a third time to put in a remote as the fan was connected to a hot wire and the light to the switch. I did have to pay for the second visit. Overall, the men did good work and were very courteous and helpful. They did not dilly dally and did the job well. I wish I either knew to buy a remote the first time, or they had given me the option to have the fan connected to the switch. Either way, I learned something and I now have a working fan.

First of all, the office personal are extremely friendly and very helpful and caring. Our air conditioner completely froze up. We called for an appointment and the same day they came out. Donald was the service guy that took care of us. He came out and did a thorough exam and since it was completely frozen we had to let it slowly thaw out over night. Donald came back the first thing the next morning and really took his time to try to determine what caused it to freeze. We were concerned that we had a leak somewhere. But we didn't and he was so very honest and so knowledgeable. He is one of those rare people who genuinely wants to treat you right and he's an asset to his employer. Because of this experience we are going to switch from company we were using for years, to Ferran. They are honest and they will treat you right! The price was much cheaper than other companies, at least with our air conditioning problems. We give them an A+. And thank you Ferran for coming to our rescue quickly and resolving our air conditioner problems. I'm a heart patient and I also have a handicapp daughter and we both need to be in a cool environment. Thank you!

Tech was extremely helpful, and all is fixed now. House I know will need re-piped in the future and he was able to give a rough estimate on that. I will DEFINITELY consider Ferran for that job!!

First off Jesse Crawford is a pro, I had a list of things needing to be done/quoted and I did not stump Jesse once. Had great options for the gas lines, we talked about running a gas line into the back yard for future gas grill, venting in the laundry room and options for plumber water lines in the kitchen. I did take lots of notes and settled on doing the gas lines for stove and dryer in 2 weeks. Options on doing the work were firm quote or time and material, pro and cons to doing both but Jesse thought the time and material would be the best option and able to reduce the hourly rate to make sure it was indeed the best deal for me. If you request Jesse I can assure you good things will happen.

Julian was very professional and helpful. He offered suggestions on how to keep my older unit operating for a few years before replacing it. He made sure my house was cooling properly before he left. I would ask for him again if I need A/C repairs.

This is the 2nd contractor I used for that project and they both told me the same thing so I don't believe they were trying to avoid the work or sell something different to me. In Ferrans case, the manager was very helpful to me in finding other options to fix my problem. I would use them again for that reason alone.

I first brought them in to do a plumbing inspection since we just bought the home. They identified some issues and we asked them to switch out two toilets for us and to give us a quote for the entire job. The cost of the inspection was to be applied to the final job. I bought the toilets. The guy showed up close to the time they said and performed the work. I believe that because he did the two toilets first he was probably not tired and no rush and they looked pretty good. He pointed out an issue with the faucet while performing some work under the sink so I ran out and bought the exact same model faucet and asked him to replace it. The faucet was a different story. After he left we found a leak under the sink that was not there before. The price was also higher than I thought and he did not complete all the task, some minor stuff was left undone. In the end they did not discount the $69 from the inspection and the price came in higher than what they quoted on the phone. We also covered the floors leading to the bathroom in hopes that he would notice that we cared that he did not damage carpet or tiles or spread water on them. We found some minor scratched and chipped tiles after he left which in the end shows that he was not careful enough and that us providing cover was the best thing we could of done. We called them about the leak and they sent another guy that came to fix the leak and the undone work. I had found a leak in one of the outside water faucets and asked if he could fix it because they had missed it in the original inspection. However since this was not in the original work order the 2nd guys said it would cost $69 if it was just a washer issue or $120 to replace it. Now that sounds expensive and not very customer friendly. Another problem for us was that the guy 1st guy installed the kitchen faucet he took the box and the warranty. We have a problem with the faucet, not their fault, but now I cannot return it because I do not have the original packaging nor warranty. They should of known better to leave that with the owner.

This was the second breaker we needed replaced for our AC. The first was replaced for $85 from a different company. When this breaker failed the other company we used didn't have an electrician available so I called Ferran based on their reviews. The cost to replace the same kind of breaker by Ferran was $152, a good bit more than what the other company charged. Luckily I reminded the electrician about the Angie's list discount so this brought the bill down to $127. The price was a bit high but I was happy to have my AC working.

Fixed the electrical issue with the compressor and had nice cold air running within an hour of being here. $277 which included $147 service call charge for after hours. Worth it! Will use again...
