Description of Work: We had leak in our closet. They broke hole in outside wall convinced the leak was from hosebib. When wall was broken into there were no signs of water leakage around hose bib yet they still insisted leak was from hose bib. Hosebib was capped off. Hours later we still had water seepage. Turned out it was broken water line on frig. They did come back and undo the hosebib cap for free but we still shelled out $200 for nothing

Description of Work: I had an underground water leak. They said that for them to look for it might be a waste of money. Suggested Leak Detectors. Honest! Had them out, found leak. First Quality came out and repaired it. They could have milked more money out of me by searching for the leak, but didn't.

Overall it went well. The plumber was determined to find the leak then get the problem fixed. The final result is the cost was less than expected by almost $100. I couldn't be happier. Hopefully this leak was an isolated incident and we wont have to go through this again.
Description of Work: We had a waterline leak somewhere in the kitchen. The leak was emptying onto our attached covered screen room. The house is over 25 years old and has original copper piping. The technician arrived and performed his testing to determine if it was a pipe leak or something else. After making the determination that we had a pipe leak the next goal was to locate the leak. He spent a good amount of time and believed the leak was in the slab. However, he did not rely on his own belief and contacted another experienced plumber in his company who suggested he presume the leak was in the wall first. Then, if it could not be found there, go into the slab. He said the cost difference was approximately 680 for the slab and 380 for the wall. He also said if he could not find the leak after going into the wall and found the leak in the slab the cost would still be 680ish. I thought that was very fair. Luckily he found the leak in the water line that supplies the ice maker. He ran a new line to the fridge and capped off the old line. He stayed until finished as opposed to handing it off to another plumber two days in the future. I'm very pleased with him and his company. I highly recommend First Quality Plumbing.

We discovered water damage to one of our closet's that adjoined the shower in our master bathroom. We called First Quality and spoke to the dispatcher. The only bad thing about this experience is that the dispatcher screwed up (she told us that the plumber would be out in about 3 or 4 hours - we called back 5 hours later only to discover that the dispatcher had failed to tell the plumber about the job). The plumber finally arrived about 45 minutes after we spoke the dispatcher for the second time. In short, the plumber did an excellent job. He found the problem very quickly (it was a leak in the shower casing), fixed it quickly, and minimized the damage to our closet. The total cost for the repair and the parts was $135 which, under the circumstances, was very reasonable. Again, I have no problem with the plumber - he was great and got the job done. The dispatcher was a sub-par, and caused this repair to be needlessly too long..
Description of Work: We had a leak in our shower that was causing damage to an adjoining closet.

I had a need to have the toilet installed on the same day I contracted with Lowe's and First Quality Plumbing made it happen in record time. Rich did an outstanding job and was very professional and courteous. Rich left everything clean and removed the old toilet, the box from the new toilet and any unused parts that I did not want. Don't I wish all home service companies were this good.
Description of Work: Replacement of toilet purchased from Lowe's. First Quality Plumbing is the company contracted by Lowe's so the pricing is established by Lowe's.

Don from First Quality responded to our emergency call to pump Septic tank the same day. Very friendly, courteous and informative. He was asked to give a quote on replacing the leach field that was known to be in bad condition. His quote was fair and few weeks later First Quality started the project. It took six work days to complete that included waiting for more sand and having the inspection from city. We had no problems at all completing project except that they dug up our water supply and charged us additional $400 to reposition it. Don left the area as smooth as we believe was possible. The quote did say that Company was not responsible for landscaping and irrigation so we were responsible for replacing 3 zones of underground irrigation and picking up about a million rocks that were left behind. It was not as bad as an experience that we thought that having your entire front yard dug up would be and the new grass seed is already in the ground. Good Company to work with, Don in the field and Donna in the office were always available to answer questions.
Description of Work: They pumped the septic tank and gave quote on replacing leach field. They returned and replaced the entire leach field. The quote went up $400 after the contractor found water supply in the way. They replaced water supply in better area.

At this time I am debating if I want to continue with the install of this new water heater. The unit is $1500 and from everything I read on the GE website and from other reviews it is as easy to install as a standard water heater. I am concerned that local plumbers are taking advantage. It's not easy going green! **Update - Lowe's made some adjustments to their quote, after a good amount of back and forth, now $441 install. First quality is not completely responsible for the pricing. Decided to do install. Will update and adjust this review after install completed. UPDATE 2/2013: I went ahead with this company to install the water heater after several phone calls to Lowe's. They did a very nice job with one person. Now, almost two years later the work is still good. I ended up paying $441 for installing the water heater, still too much $ for this job, but it was less then what I was first quoted. (This could be because of Lowe's and their pricing). One issue, I have another property and they accidentally sent their guy to that address twice so they were not very prompt. (They probably would have been if it wasn't for this error).
Description of Work: I currently have a new 50 gallon water heater in my garage (Orlando, FL), home was completed in 2010. Wanted to try to go green and save some $. All plumbing and electrical connections are easily accessible, code compliant, and work with the GeoSpring Hybrid water heater. Hot and cold water lines are PVC and need to be moved approximately 6" for the air filter (why I didn't want to install myself). Condensation drip line from unit can be run along wall with a simple flexible hose to garage door. Paid for Lowe's detail to come out and provide estimate. Their sub-contractor, "First Quality Plumbing," came to do the detail. I explained that I researched the installation procedure, the unit weighs 150lbs and the installation is the same as a standard water heater. Plumber changed his quote from two men for labor to one. This is the quote Lowe's gave to me $76 permit fee (ok fine), $329 "Hybrid Charge" (What does that mean?? It is the same install as a standard water heater, see the GE website), $210 Condensation Line (It's in a garage next to my garden hose it would be $5 worth of flexible piping to extend the hose included with the GeoSpring to the garage door where it can drip unobstructed) TOTAL $615!!!

Response from First Quality Plumbing
I apologize for any mis understandings with our company. First Quality plumbing is a very honest company that thrives on pleasing their customers. We do installations through Lowe's, but do not know anything about what the charge to the homeowner is and for what is included in the cost. Water Heater details are strictly something to help the plumbers get an idea of what size and space you have so that everything can be completed in one trip with no complications. Therefore this eliminates any surprises or additional cost to you the homeowner that you would be unaware of. The details also allow us to know ahead of time of what may need to be brought up to code according to the code of what the City or County requires for your area.
