Description of Work: tim was very professional and knowledgable. We were confident that we were getting quality materials and quality workmanship. We were not disappointed with the end result! Both the deck and the pool are beautiful and I have no doubt will last a very long time.

Description of Work: I have to say, I have never had to work so hard to try and give a company my business as I did with Guflstream Pools... I originally contacted them in the September 2014 timeframe, and after many promises to get back to me, I wasn't able to have someone even come out to my house to view and measure my property until mid-December... Then after having the measurements taken, and providing survey information, I was not able to get a proposal. I was given at least 5 hard promises that a proposal was forthcoming, but the only proposal that I received wasn't remotely close to what I requested. I requested a roman shape with a spa, but I received a proposal for a freestyle with no spa... I then contacted a more senior sales manager who apologized profusely, and promised I would receive a proposal based on my request by the following Monday (March 2nd)... When that date passed, I contacted then one more time that following Friday and was again promised that the individual would call me back that day... I still haven't heard back from them... I have to say that the individuals that I spoke with were very polite, and sounded very knowledgeable, but they absolutely never followed up any time that they said they would... I can only assume hat they have so much business that they were just stretched too thin... I contacted two other companies that I identified, and had detailed proposals from each one within a week of contacting them... I think that I actually want a company that at least makes me think they really want and need my business...

Description of Work: Visited their showroom twice in one weekend to get an appointment for our pool remodel and although spoke to 2 different salesman and the receptionist twice, nobody ever called to set up an apptmt. I guess they are too busy to even give a courtesy call.

Description of Work: Contacted company for a quote and Bob came to my house. He told me he would have an estimate back to me in a week. I never heard from him again. I actually enjoyed meeting with him and was looking forward to his estimate. I called him 2 weeks after he came to my house and he told me he would send the estimate the next day. I then emailed a few days later in case he sent it and it had an error (typo or something) I never got a response to my email or an estimate.

+ -1 moreI liked the professionalism of the owner and his staff. The helpfulness in choosing the correct pepple deck. It looks great. His honesty in steering me and helping me choose the right solution in not putting in a new pool but rather making the one I own better.
Description of Work: I last used Gulfstream Pools & Spas to do a pebble deck on my pool, they extended my lani, they did paver work and they oversaw the installation of a 5 person hot tub in January.

+ -1 moreOverall, I have to rate this company at five stars. I found them searching the internet for pool companies. I saw they had been around for 30+ yrs. and decided to give them a call. I got 3 estimates from 3 dif. pool companies. One of the companies showed up but never even sent me over a written estimate, the second company offered me a smaller pool for a few thousand more than what I paid with Gulfstream. The sales rep, Bob was very friendly and did a beautiful job designing the pool. He took into consideration everything that I wanted in a pool and incorporated it into the design. Ted, the gentleman who over sees the install was great also! I can't say enough good things about this company. My experience was great from start to finish. They told me it would take between 6-8 weeks for the install and they finished it all in 6 weeks. The pool is more than what I had imagined it would be. If you are looking for a great job at a reasonable price then I would recommend going with this company.

Description of Work: Gulfstream did an excellent job renovating our pool and adding a fire pit area off the lake. You can't go wrong choosing them. I have friends who have waited up to 7 months to get their pool done so when Tim (owner) said he'd have it done in 4 weeks I was skeptical. But they delivered on their promise. I have family members in construction which is how I got their name. I was only interested in a reputable company that dis the job right. cutting corners was unacceptable. They aren't the cheapest in town nor the most expensive but you get QUALITY and something you will be happy with for years to come. If I had it to do over again I wouldn't change a thing.

+ -1 moreOverall the experience has been smooth and stress free. They have been accomodating to all of my requests, and always showed up on time for scheduled meeteings/installs. My project manager, Ted, has been awesome and was always available via phone if needed.....
Description of Work: Gulfstream helped me design my pool from scratch, and then was hired to build the product. They have been extremely easy to work with, prompt, professional, and courteous. Construction of my pool and hot tub began the week of Thanksgiving, and it is now completed the 1st week of January. I am very happy with the finished product, and would use them again! I hightly recommend this company if you are in the market for a pool/hot tub.

+ -1 moreWe were referred to Gulfstream by other customers of theirs and have no regrets. I had called Gulfstream to set an appointment to go to their showroom and spoke with Bob, one of their salespersons. We made the appointment for a few days later and before we arrived Bob had visited our property (which was a house being built for us) to see what could be done with our property. When we arried at our appointment with Bob he had already had emailed a drawing for us based on our initial conversation. We made a few changes and were happy. Bob told us construction would take 6-8 weeks depending on the weather. They finished on time as promised, and the job was well done. We are very happy with their work. Everything was delived as promised. Gulfstreams price might be a little on the high end but we did not have any problems with any of the construction or their subcontractors (All pool companies use subcontractors). I think you get what you pay for. I had done some research on a few smaller pool companies and found out some had cash flow problems and the subcontractors were puting liens on some of the properties they worked on. We did not have that problem with Gulfstream. We had one minor problem with our heater but that was cleared up promply by a service company they use. I found all of Gulfstreams people very professional to work with and ai highly reccommend them.
Description of Work: Installed new pool, hot tub, pavers, screen encloser and pan roof.

+ 0 moreWe went to Gulfstream Pools to talk to them and to setup an appointment to go to our house for an estimate. We talked to a sales person for quite some time. However, when we asked serious questions, we seemed to be met with dumb jokes. For example, my wife was concerned about writing them a large check several weeks before they start working. The salesman laughed and said something about our little check is not worth them running off to Mexico or something to that effect. When I asked about the thickness of the material they were going to put on the deck, he threw a piece a wood up on a table with a thin layer of plaster on it and something like, “It’s just like this.” I was not sure if he meant the wood or the thin layer of plaster. He seemed more interested in making jokes than providing solid information. We told him that we wanted to get an estimate and he stated that he would have to get with the owner to see who would do it. It seemed that they were not too intrested in working on Saturday which is our only free day. We filled out a customer information card and waited for them to call. No call. We called back a week later to follow-up and they stated that they would be in touch. This cycle repeated itself again and they never did call us to setup an appointment for an estimate.

+ -1 moreBruce was our salesman. He took the time to visit our home and guide usin the selection process keeping in mind our property size, shape, and our budget. Once all of our selections were made, Ted took over the actual construction process. He coordinated the trades to clear the area, dig the hole, shoot the shell, tile, pour the deck, finish the interior, and clean up the yard when complete. We love our new pool! We chose Gulfstream Pools over the others that we interviewed because they are a local company that has been business for a long time. Every tradesman that was at our home was courteous and willing to answer a meriad of questions from us and our seven year old grandson
Description of Work: We had an inground pool custom designed and built for our yard and within our budget. It is awesome!
