+ -1 moreAll Bay was recommended to us by a neighbor. We met with the owner Klaus Lemke who gave us a written estimate which was the exact amount we ended up paying. We were given a date for the work to commence on Monday 3/19. We were told that the crew would be here at 7:30am. At 7:30 on the dot they arrived. They began working and continued all day until 4:00pm. They said they’d be back 7:30 the next morning. They were back at 7:30am and completed the project that afternoon Tuesday 3/20. Hard workers. They did a great job on the roof and did a thorough cleanup. Now we will “Highly” recommend All Bay to anyone in the area needing a roofer.

His crew cleaned up the site after the work was completed, and the owner, Klaus Lemke, came out and inspected the job before his crew had left. He provided a written 3 year warranty on the repair. We have had no further leak issues.
Description of Work: My roof developed a leak in the area above a downstairs bathroom. I called several roofing companies for quotes, but all were extremely busy and either declined the job or said it would be several weeks before they could come out to give an estimate. I called All Bay Roofing and the owner said he could come in three days to inspect the problem and provide a quote. He showed up exactly as promised, did an inspection, and said that he would be able to do the repair the following week.

+ -1 moreI had a flat roof replaced with a TPO roof with risers. Work was outstanding in every aspect. I highly recommend and have recommended to my family. Klaus does not create unnecessary work and has advised those referred to that minor repairs may be all that is needed (as opposed to a new roof). Cost was competitive or better than other bids.

+ -1 moreKlaus gave me a free estimate and explained the problem surrounding the leak. His crew was able to fix the leak and the gutter issue that lead to the problem. Klaus warned me that he wasn't sure if he could exactly match the shingle as our home is 10 years old and the shingle is no longer produced. However, he did do a good job in finding a match and I am pleased with the repair.

+ -1 moreEverything went perfect with the exception of all the plywood that needed replaced but that was nobody's fault but my own for roofing over my old roof 16 years ago.
Description of Work: My roof was in pretty bad shape and I knew I needed to replace it. I was a broke 22 year old when I bought my house 16 years ago and it needed a roof back then. In an effort to save money I decided I would do the roof myself and just go over the old roof with the new shingles. It only cost me $900 but took me a couple months to finish it. With that said, my orignal roof was still under my 16 year old DIY re-roof. I vowed to never do my own roof again so now like a real grown up I decided to hire a contractor. Klaus was my 3rd quote and he was $1500 less than the last two guys with the same product. I found an Angie's List coupon after he gave me the price and he honored it. He gave me fair warning that there was some bad plywood and that he would have to replace but couldn't determine how many sheets we would need till the old roof was off. We agreed on a date to start and I signed the contract. The day before the start date we confirmed and they arrived at 7:30am ready to work. His crew was very friendly and professional. They worked very hard and got the 2 layers off and pulled up a bunch or rotten plywood by 3pm. They had replaced 25 sheets on the back of my house and dried it in with the underlayment. Of course it started raining but they had already covered my exposed roof with a tarp and no water got in my attic. Day two they arrived at 7:30am again and really went at it. They had to replace 14 sheets on the front side of the the roof. They started actually nailing shingles around 11am and finished up by 4pm. They replaced everything including some rotten trim boards. They did a great job cleaning up and the roof looks perfect! Klaus was great to work with and even helped me out some on the additional cost because we had to replace 39 sheets of plywood.

+ -1 moreThe experience with All Bay was above our expectations. Replacing a roof is costly so anyone is a bit hesitant with a purchase that large but All Bay delivered on what they said that they would do and even more. I met with Klaus Lemke (Owner) and after a thorough explanation on the work that was going to be done I was surprised at a bid lower than I had anticipated. He stated that his workers would arrive on the start date by 8:30 AM and they arrived at 8:20 AM. With impending weather approaching that afternoon the crew worked longer than expected to make sure that the under shingle stiched laminate film was secure and the roof was waterproof. The next morning the crew worked very hard to finish the roof before afternoon the showers. I had a few spots with rotting Facia wood and they replaced that wood with matching, primed, textured wood. The match was done so well it is hard to tell what they replaced. When they cleaned up the property they cleaned up so extensive that they even cleaned the Lanai gutters, something that I did not expect them to do. Klaus stated that even with the best of intentions I might find a stray nail or two on the ground around the house...to this date I haven't found any. With the workmanship and attention to detail I know that the roof is ready for another 20+ years of Florida weather and we rest easier knowing that the job was done correctly, no cutting corners here. The style of shingles and the look of the roof have brought us many compliments of passing neighbors and family members. We are extremely pleased with the work done by All Bay Roofing and recommend them highly.

+ -1 moreI had a appt on 8/24/2015 to get an estimate on my son's townhouse.Mr Lemke came out on time.The town house has a jointing roof over the garage with his neighbor meaning, he would have to due half the roof on my son's side..The neighbor was not in the position to have his side done to.Mr Lemke stated he had done a roof previous in the same complex.Mr Lemke stated that the roof was going to be a hard job due to both sides were not in very good shape.I explained to him if he was not interested in giving me a quote I understood.Then Mr. Lemke stated that he would get with his foreman and get back with a quote.He also said he was out about 4 weeks.I stated that was fine.Again I asked Mr. Lemke if he did not want to do the work,I would go back on Angie's List and look for another roofer.He stated that he would get back with me with an estimate that evening.So I gave him my phone number and email address. Mr. Lemke did not call me back or email me a quote.I'm sure Mr Lemke from meeting him appears to be a nice person.But if you don't want to do the job,tell me.Mr Lemke is not the only roofer in town.I asked him twice.He also stated he didn't have to measure the roof due to the other one he did in the sub-division was the same size.I think it's funny that he is a roofer and states it's to hard due to the incline of the garage. and probably bad wood underneath the shingles.To all roofers,if you don't want to do the job say so,That's all I ask.Don't waste my time and yours.

The fascia and soffit work continued for a few days afterward but was completed on scheduled. Klaus and his team were friendly, very neat, and they cleaned up thoroughly after they were done. Their workmanship was great and they passed permit inspection with no problems.
Description of Work: Klaus and his team replaced many sheets of rotten plywood on my roof deck and installed Tamko Moisture Guard underlayment, GAF starter shingles, GAF Timberline shingles, GAF Cobra ridge vent, GAF cap shingles, and 2 Sun-Tek skylights. They also replaced rotten fascia and soffit on the eves as necessary.

+ -1 moreKlaus was right on time for his appointment to inspect my roof, and I was immediately impressed with his product presentation. Upon conclusion of his presentation he gave me a ball park estimate plus potential additional costs that might be necessary once he did more research on the skylights I wanted, and once all the shingles were removed to reveal the extent of damage to the original roof plywood sheathing. He was aware of my tight completion schedule and said he would do his best. The start date fell within the acceptable time frame and the crew arrived a little early; unfortunately due to the high chances of rain, the project was delayed to the next day. The crew was prompt, polite and very hardworking. Although I had removed most all items that might be in the way of their progress, they were still very careful and coordinated in their efforts to remove discarded items from the roof onto the front and rear patios and then into their refuse trailer. Since my home is attached to similar units on either side, I noticed that the crew took care in treading on adjacent roofs and were meticulous in how they handled repairs next to, or at these junctures. Installation of the skylights went smoothly, from my vantage point inside the house. My experience through this project was one of confidence as I watched the crew work and one of inclusion in the process of a 2-day project. I highly recommend this company.
