I thought the roofer's crew did a good job.

Exceptional job and very pleased. ,They did have one thing to deal with upon completion but handled it beautifully. When applying felt to our roof, one of the workers accidentally let a full roll of felt slip off the peak, and hit our air conditioner, crushing the cage and damaging the coil. The crew chief apologized, pictures were taken by theroofing crew and they advised Scott Smith. Also advised us they would take care of the damaged unit. The unit in short, was replaced with a brand new unit and they were very understanding. We can not say enough good things for this company. We were also happy at the end of the job, that they cleaned up our yard, and used a big magnet to pick up all the nails!

Great work. Everything went well. Paper work insurance was fine. I would recommend them to anyone. Very responsive, and always answered when I call.

Call company which sent out a rep gave quote 2/6/14 asked when could they start, said 2 weeks. Just got a hold of someone 6/4/14 he said sorry they got busy then had no workers " had no excuse" " sorry". Never showed, never got contacted.

Along with replacing the roof, 14 sheets of plywood also needed replacing. Two workers came out and spent two days doing the re-roof. The price was the best around. There was about a two month wait for service, but that was not an issue for me.

Scott Smith Roofing showed up on time, performed the service quickly and professionally and I have had no problems with the gutters since (it's been almost two years). My boyfriend was very concerned about erosion around the home and asked for extended gutters with two downspouts on all sides. They actually only installed one downspout in the back, but were very apologetic and offered to come back to put in a second one. It turned out we didn't really need it (it was bit of overkill because of my boyfriend's worrying) so we declined but the offer remained open. All in all the gutters have been wonderful and again, the work was done quickly and professionally. I'd recommend them.

This is the third time they have done a roof for me and I was very happy all three times. This time one of the guys had to go up into my attic. That evening my wife noticed that my roof air conditioner was not working. I called them the next day and the owner came out and tried to fix the air conditioner. He could not fix it so he called an air conditioner guy who came out and indicated the problem was not caused by the roofer. I got a call from the owner a couple of hours later and he indicated he did not think it was his fault, but that he would pay half of the cost of repairing it. He did not have to do that so I was very pleased.

It took the whole week long hours and it rained a couple of times. No rain in the house, sealed even when roof was not all the way on. Great job.

My initial meeting with Steve was impressive and cordial. He left me at ease and comfortable with doing business with his company. Our meetings, the price agreed upon and the work schedule were all timely as stated. The installation crew were all very professional, safety coonscious and left the area in a clean and orderly condition.

They arrived on time and spent 3 days removing the old shingles, tar paper & skylight. Installed new roofwith architectual shingles and a new skylight. A very professional job done with no problems. The clean up was done very well, I did a work around the house and could not find any nails in the yard. I would hire them again.

Repaired a leak at a plumbing roof vent.I was told it may be 2 weeks before |work could be done. I was contacted after 4 days asking if the could do the job that morning. I said yes and within 40 min. a man was on the roof.By 1:30 |repair and cleanup was done.I would use and refer this co.

The first time I tried to hire them, it didnt go to well, as they where way behind on their jobs. I dont fault them on this, as we had rain everyday for weeks. I did recall them and they gave me the same price they had quoted me the first time. They arrived on time and seemed to know what they where doing. They cleaned up everything very well and repaired a down front gutter also.I did have a small leak in the main bedroom right after that section was done and I pointed it out. They inspected it and repaired it right away, we where told it was a bent nail. The good thing is the water did not stain our ceiling but ran through a speaker system we have installed in the ceiling. The major issue I have with them is that our roof did not pass inspection. They have been informed of this and have yet to come back and finish the work so it can pass inspection and be finished. I also did NOT like the fact that a lien was put on my property BEFORE the work was done. They neglected to inform me of this, even though they where paid on time and exactly what they quoted the job for. I was not late to pay them and they did not wait for their payment, despite the fact the work really is not done yet. I also have noticed a mark on my ceiling in one room but I am not sure if it is from a leak or not, I was hoping when they returned to finish they would look at it. I will say the roof looks very nice.

I live in a very old home. The original roof was on there. When these guys started working the roof was a terrible mess. A worker almost fell through it was that bad. Thankfully, everyone was okay. They replaced just about everything. The job was done right. They even took down a chimney that wasn't in use anymore. Steve and Jerry came out and did the measuring themselves. There was a slight complication with having enough materials but we purchased the rest of what we needed and finished the job. They were very knowledgable and did a superior job. The gentlemen that worked on my house all deserve a bonus for the excellent work that they did.

My roof was replaced in 1 day. They were freindly and professional and they cleaned up completely after the work was done. Jerry is very personable and does everything by the book. My neighbor needed a roof and hired this company. You can't find anyone better than scott smith roofers.

They arrived on-time each of the 3 days it took to do what I described above. They worked late the first day (8pm). They were professional and courteous. They put a jambox on top of the chimney which could be heard throughout the house. We didn't find this a problem, as the music was pretty good. The first night they asked if they could cleanup only the backyard as it was almost sundown when they finished what they needed to do. After that my only disappointment was cleanup was not a priority. I really expected the place to be properly picked up by the end of day two. Lets talk about nails. There are thousands of dangerous nails with a 1/2" square head that came off my roof. Even with a magnetic device on wheels it is impossible for them to pickup all the nails, unless you have no landscaping around your house. Best bet is to do some thorough cleanup in your yard to get most of them. It took just over 3 weeks to receive the bill and wind mitigation report. After reviewing the report I had to question part of it. Within 2 days I received a corrected page. After getting the corrected page I mailed the check, and 4 days later I received the release of lien, Overall my wife and I are very pleased with our experience with Scott Smith Roofing. I would have no reservation in recommending them to anybody.

They should up on the day as scheduled. They replaced the whole roof and lumber that was rotten. They cleaned up after every day. The crew that came out and did all the work was very professional and did a very good job. I hope I don't need to, but I would definitely would use Scott Smith roofing again.

The workers were terrific. They worked hard and well and took the time to do a great job. I love that Scott Smith Roofing wanted to be sure that I was 100% happy before asking for payment. Everyone I had contact with was responsive and professional. My roof looks great, and Scott Smith delivered on everything they promised.

He was very nice and professional. We didn't use this roofing contractors because he didn't have the confidence that the repairs to roof would fix the problem.

Originally we thought we needed a new roof and were braced for what we knew would be estimates in the $5000-10000 range. They did indeed give us a quite reasonable bid for a new roof. But Jerry at Scott Smith said we really did not need one at this point. He located the problem, a leak around some flashing and a vent, and told us that fixing that would give us at least another 6 mos. to a year of protection and would cost $150! Then he made another appointment immediately on the spot a few days hence, came back and fixed it himself in less than 10 minutes! I ask you, how many roofers would do that? Good heavens, we are amazed, and recommend Scott Smith Roofing without any reservation whatsoever. In, fact, we'll shout it from the roof tops, our own, now sealed and safe once more thanks to them.

No one ever called back. What bad economy?

hey were prompt, worked hard, and performed an excellent job. There were some matters that they had to follow up on, but these adjustments were made and performed competently. My one problem with the entire experience was the very large number of roofing nails scattered about around the roofline. They may have used a large rolling magnet to pick these up, but that method did not work well in this instance.

They did an excellent job on the roof. It took a little longer than I thought it was going to but in the end it was excellent work.
