I had a bad experience with this company actually. Not responsive. They tried to get a quote. They set up a time to show up and never showed up. I waited for quite some time. Tried to chase them and then like after a few times I tried to get a hold of them they said "we're not going to service your area." Then I got really frustrated and said "why'd you let me wait for so long and come to the property a few times while you're not showing up." I needed a quote. I needed to replace a roof. They didn't give me a quote.

Steve was on time, absolutely professional, explained how that 'spot' was on the ceiling and how to remove it. The "leak" was an old 'stain' on the ceiling... and we needed no repairs to this roof. We asked that they check the roof yearly to ensure it remains in excellent condition.. *** Found out all good things about our home. They did the original roof in 2000... and again in 2008 as the owners had to replace all the duct work so they removed the roof to do that job. Facts a new homeowner should know!

Excellently! The roof is repaired, and the proof came during Hurricane Irma. None of the driving rain ended up in the house. Yippee!

I emailed him and he promptly responded that he couldn't do the job at this time. No problem. I give Fs for non-responses (no excuse for that) so I give him an A for at least responding. And given the right circumstances, I would try them again.

Very good. I would use them again. I've used them once I liked them so much I've used them a second time. They were very responsive.

I contacted 5 roofing companies, Scott Smith Roofing was one of two that actually called us back and scheduled a quote. We decided not to have to work done yet, but when the time comes we will choose Scott Smith Roofing.

They were very professional. They were very timely. They were responsive on the phone. We have not elected to effect the repair yet, but it's no reflection on the vendor. The estimate was free. They were polite and they promised a written estimate within 24 hours, and provided it. I really couldn't give anything they could improve upon, they were fine. I would absolutely use them again for an estimate.

Great! The personnel were very good and very encouraging. I believe the problem is fixed and I am appreciative. Please note I gave them only a B on responsiveness/punctuality only because it took several days for them to address my problem. I might be unfair because one of the gentleman just had major oral surgery. At all times he kept me apprised of his progress. I would definitely hire this company again.

Work was done in a very professional manner. The job was completed on schedule with no issues and looks great. I was very impressed with the fact that they did not leave trash on site from one day to the next. Many I've seen park a dumpster in the drive until they are finished. Scott's took all trash off site each day. I strongly recommend Scotts

They were professional. They did what they were supposed to do and did a good job doing it. The price is right, but I have no idea what other people charge. I guess it's a fair price. Their responsiveness was quick.

Crew members were professional and worked quickly to do the tear off and replacement.

They did an excellent job. Inspected my temp patch to make sure it would hold ordered the shingles and did an excellent repair. You can hardly tell it was fixed they blended the shingles very well.

excellent! Roofing crew (4 men) arrived as scheduled and worked (literaly) from dawn until dusk. The job was completed in 4 days despite a short rain interruption.

I contacted Scott Smith Roofing through Angie's List requesting someone to contact me about a roof repair. Two days later someone did. We set up an appointment, he came to my house and provided me with an estimate. I hired the company to perform the work. About a week later, the company repaired the leak the week of the tropical depression in the Gulf. I did not even have to be at home when they did the repair. I was very much relieved it was done before bad weather came. The salesman showed up a couple of days after the repair and inquired about any leakage. There was no leakage. I am completely satisfied.

While I havent had the work done yet, they were prompt in responding. They appear to either not have the capability or willingness to answer my questions directly through email. I do appreciate their prompt reply stating that the manager will call me, but we end up playing phone tag, as I work during normal business hours. Hence, its hard for me to respond, and I find its easier at this point in the process to get the bases covered via email. They do come recommended by my closing agent, so Im hoping we can coordinate services quickly when the time comes. Only think Id change thus far is being able to get my answers in email.

Crew arrived on time and did the job in a very professional manner. Cleaned up each dal and left the area neat and orderly.

Noticed a small leak in roof right before husband was going out of town. We called Scott Smith Roofing and they came out to give an estimate, they arrived when they said they would. We accepted the estimate but told them we wouldn't be here and they said no problem they didn't need to enter the house, the problem was where the two roof lines meet. They were very courteous and professional and the job was completed by the time we returned. We would definitely recommend them to anyone and if we need a roofer in the future we will definitely call them.

The owners were very nice , and responded to my many calls over the 7 day period . It was supposed to take 4 days. There were a few of the crew that were constantly a problem .It was not a pleasant experience for me .I choose not to mention a few of the things that happened .I worked for a contractor as a project manager in the 80's , and know that it is hard to find employee's willing to do this type of job .My husband is a contractor and said that for any 1 of the things that happened , he would have fired someone . The owner would have , but I asked him not to , and to just give them a warning .It didn't work .My neighbors had there daughters wedding in their back yard , and the owner , neighbor , and myself , all asked if they could break for lunch at noon , for the ceremony( remember , the job was supposed to be done 2 days before that ) .They were ready to start at 11:58 , and asked them if they would stop pounding at that time . A worker told them that they still had "2 minutes" left .We were without Direct TV for 3 days , because they didn't reset the dish right .We had to have a new dish installed , and when the roofers came back to take the old one down and patch where it was , they instead started loosening the screws on the new one , and when they discovered that it was the wrong one ,left the screws loose which caused the dish settings to get messed up ,which involved another Direct TV visit .The crew foreman was very polite , but lost control early on .The owner promised to come back and fix a leak on a connecting workshop roof , but after getting paid , never did .The way the gutters are spaced around a dryer vent in my courtyard , the water is running up to my front door .I paid alot more to hire this company , because of their good ratings .The ower took a few hundred dollars off of the bill for all that I went through . The roof looks nice . They did a good job .But the experience was anything but pleasant . In the last few months , I have replaced my air conditioner and furnace , had several giant trees removed , fences built etc. , and never had any trouble with other crews .The owner told me that they were breaking that crew up after my job , so the problem may have been solved by now .I had to give my honest account of my experience .I thought about NOT leaving a review , but I keep getting requests from people looking for roofers , and can not candy coat this . I have had 5 roofs done in my lifetime , and never went through this .

Firstly, I am amiss in having waited so long on giving the positive feedback that Scott Smith Roofing totally deserves. They are on the A list for good reason. Mr. Smith was prompt in responding to my initial inquiry and meeting to look the job over and give me a quote. He even educated me a bit, and gave me good advice on what to look for in assessing a company's quality, etc. as he knew I needed to get a couple more quotes. I knew his consideration and care for his co. and clients was above and beyond from that. He is very clean cut and professional. I had to change the job date once due to financial issues and they were very understanding and easy to reschedule with. That was appreciated. The roofers were on time, courteous, well organized, and tidy throughout the job. I do believe they got the roof finished within 5 days. Its been awhile, but I think that's right. We were kept informed of their arrival times; they were courteous and professional and cleaned up after themselves every day; problems were handled as they occurred; discounts were given as requested and help given with the paperwork so we could qualify for the veteran's discount; questions were answered patiently. We received an excellent wind mitigation report partly because of the quality of the shingles and their installation.

They were able to move up the date and came earlier than originally planned. They always kept me informed as to when they would be here and what they would be doing. They were punctual, always here when they said they would be. When they were done, they cleaned all around the house, I found no nails, etc. I am very pleased and would recommend them highly.

The owner showed up for initial evaluation. He noted the damage and I had a quote within one day. We set an appointment and the guys came out on time. I had a problem where rotten plywood was not removed during the last roof job (before I bought the home), and the guys quickly replaced all bad sections, installed aluminum flashing, and put up new shingles around the entire chimney. The owner later replaced my chimney cap due to the original rusting over time. The new aluminum will last me decades now, and gives a nicer look to my home. I was told I have about six years until my next roof. I'll be calling this company again to get quotes on a metal roof. Then it will be the last roof I have to worry about.

Their bid was very detailed. They showed up on time and worked until the job was complete. Less than 2 days start to finish. This is a family operation and no subs were involved. Quality of job and materials was excellent. I would use them again.
