The technician was very professional and nice. He was very thorough in checking everything on the unit and the controller inside the house. He also checked the vents. He explained everything he was doing, although I understood very little. The whole thing took about 30 minutes. I will continue to use this company for all A/C and heating needs.

I called them on an emergency basis, we live in Florida and being without air conditioning is not an option. They made it late in the evening the same day. They came back first thing in the morning the following day with the part need to fix the problem. The serviced both units, change the filters and did the work efficiently and neatly.

They've done two service calls now. The last one they took the time to troubleshoot an electrical problem and let me video the results so the guy from the electric company believed me. They are awesome. They call 15 minutes before being there, there...the whole bit. Highly recommended

Excellent !! We own a Mobile Home Park in Ocala, Fl. One of our tenants had a problem with the air conditioning. We live out of state and did not know who to call. I looked on Angie"s List and found Max-Air, it had a lot of good reviews. Deana runs the office and was very professional. They went out to the property that same day, found the problem an repaired it. They did not even ask for my credit card until the job was done. I was very impressed with the service and will definitely use them again if we have problems at the park.

Very knowledgeable, very thorough, very honest. Changed filter in one condo and washed filter in 2nd condo. Instructed us on ways to save on electricity . . . even duct-taped an opening in unit in garage to keep it from sucking in dusty air. We will use him again next year.

I called on 4/1 at about 11/30 AM and was given an appointment between 2 and 4 PM. Dennis arrived at about 2:30 and did the requisite diagnosis. While he could have told me anything he wanted, he simply told me it was a bad wire and connector, both of which he replaced. He was, at all times, professional, courteous, and friendly. I was more than happy with the service call and the cost. It is an unfortunate reality that at some point the A/C unit will require further repair and/or replacement. As long as Max-Air is available the job is theirs.

They where very punctual and thorough with my complaints. Many issues where identified from a previous install and suggestions where made but nothing that needs attention at this time. After confirming they can maintain my warranty I agreed to have them back in a month to make some changes that need to be made. I was very happy with the communication and the gentleman obviously new his business. I am glad I found a trustworthy company in this arena finally. I believe I was had by the last one. No names, I will just hammer them in a review.

The service man was right on time. He checked the Thermostat and ask questions. It was determined that the thermostat was defective and needed to be replaced.While installing the new thermostat it was discovered that the Humidistat was not connected. He corrected this problem and instructed us on how to use this feature which was never operable in the old thermostat. What a pleasure this was.The man was very pleasant and articulate.

I was genuinely impressed with the service. The staff had a professional demanor and answered all my questions. They were able to give a estimate of time. and kept me aware that they were fully booked. Furthermore, they did follow up and called me to inform me that their employee was running into traffic and would be willing to reschedule since I had a prior appointment that may conflict with the service call. When their technician arrived, the repair was done and the technician did a special addition to the piping to prevent any future occurences of this problem without even asking. Very considerate and professional. Although he did not clean up after himself, I suspect that he may have been informed of my urgency and may just have been trying to get finished as soon as possible. Furthermore, they projected time of arrival of the technician was between 1pm to 3pm and with traffic was 10 minutes late, the overall experience was excellent. Thank you for the recommendation. This company deserves to be at the top of Angie's List. Furthermore, my father confirmed that he payed more than double what I payed for the same problem with less than done.

I used Max-Air to fix an air conditioning problem at my mom's Florida home. My mother is 91, and she rents this home in Ocala, FL. The renter called to say that the a/c was blowing warm air. We are absentee landlords, who don't need the full-time services of property managers. Max-Air was highly-rated here on Angie's List. I called them, and they were on-site within 2 hours. Their customer service was excellent - they kept in touch with me long distance the entire time, explaining exactly what needed to be done. It ended up being a capacitor replacement for only $98. I was very impressed with their professionalism and timeliness, and will definitely use them again if necessary.

They were excellent. They were very, very efficient and priced very well. I like how quickly they came and how quickly they diagnosed the problem. We are very happy with them.

Max-Air couldn't have been better. We arrived home from vacation to find that our air conditioning had stopped working and it was 90 degrees in the house. We checked Angie's List to find a good HVAC company and found Max-Air. We called them and they were very accommodating. They said they couldn't get to us until after 5 p.m., but would call if they could make it earlier. They called around 2 p.m. and said they could get someone out in about an hour. Dennis arrived about 3 p.m. He was not only personable and professional, but very quick and knowledgeable. From the time he arrived to the time he left, it was probably no more than 15 minutes. And the total cost was just $98. What a refreshing experience! (We've had trouble in the past with HVAC comanies.)

Turned out the musty smell was due to the interior being painted, just took awhile for it to become noticeable. Needed maintenance anyway and it turned out that I finally have a company I feel confident calling in the future. I'm new to this area and thanks to Angie's list I hit a winner! The technician, Dennis, was very helpful, patient with my numerous questions, and gave me some great tips. This will be my go to company from now on. Thank you very much.

They were extremely professional and gave great service. We called them in because we had questionable experience with another vendor. We were told our parents' A/C unit had mold and needed some fancy expensive system to fix mold problem. They came in and performed yearly service on A/C and found the A/C unit to be in excellent condition. (no mold) They did fix a condensation drain and walked us through the house and checked evrything thoroughly. My brother and I were pleased with the service! We were relieved to find an excellent Heating and A/C service provider since we are not from the area. Now we have someone we feel comfortable calling when our parents think they have A/C issues.

Brook, the service tech arrived on time and was very pleasant and professional. She quickly diagnosed the problem. The first thing she found was that the Capacitor on the compressor was burnt out. She replaced it and found that one of the wires between the capacitor and compressor had burnt off the terminal in the compressor. She quickly installed a new wire with new terminal ends and the ac began working. I know that she could have told us that the compressor was shot and charged us several hundred dollars, but she simply repaired what was actually wrong with the unit for a very fair price. ( Such a concept!) We would use Max Air again and will strongly recommend them to our friends.

Dennis arrived right on time. He had all of the neccessary tools and skills to perform the maintenance check-up.

The technician was on time and very professional. She obviously kenw what she was doing. The problem was diagnosed and quiclky repaired. She did not try to sell us a new unit, even though ours is rather old, which was great. We just wanted it working again. She also gave us advice on maintaining the system. We're very happy with the whole experience and will most definitely use them in the future.

Max-Air arrived today at the scheduled time, and checked out the entire system. They discovered that the previous service person from the other company had installed a capacitor backward on the blower motor and that was causing the icing problem. He said there was nothing else wrong with the system. Although the service personnel spent a a good amount of time trying to determine if we had any problem, they did not charge us. They said that a second opinion was free. They saved us a lot of money. We were very impressed. Max Air earned our business today for any future HVAC work.

Max-Air is a very professional company with customer-service focused employees. The total cost is about $1,000 less than quoted by others. The owner came out and made the quote and later worked the install. Also, the owner talked us out of getting a larger-than-needed unit. After the unit install we called and asked them to install a humidistat. They promptly squeezed us into their schedule and only charged $80 total. They always returned our calls promptly, arrived when they said they would, and demonstrated that they had our best interests in mind. We highly recommend Max-Air.

Last October we called our HVAC service company and got their voicemail We left them a message we wanted our annual service. They did not return our call. So on 3/5/12 I called them again and found the phone had been disconnected. I looked up A/C service on AngiesList and found Max-Air with impressive reviews, called them and someone actually answered the phone, WOW. We scheduled the service call and now they are now our HVAC service company. The service tech showed up right on time, was neat and professional. She asked us if we were having any problems with the units and we said no. We showed her the location of the equipment, she explained what she was going to do and went to work. She completed the service and told us the results of her inspections and checks. We were impressed. The service charge was about $20 less then what we had been paying.
