We have two Amana HVAC units for our home. We have used Max-Air for over 10 years and they are excellent with their service, pricing, explanation of service and equipment operation, and cleanliness. They replaced our main unit after 15 years of operation and just this week we had our secondary unit after 20 years of operation replaced. YES, we stayed with Max-Air and Amana! Great service and great products. Everyone we work with at this company has been very professional. We highly recommend them.

There were several problems with their service. 1) They cancelled a service call with one hour notice. They did not call us with a rescheduled service date nor did they email us. The following Tuesday I called them and found they had rescheduled us for the following Thursday! 2) Thursday appointment, the guy did not have a mask and wanted entry. I insisted he mask up, and he said he did not think he even had one, but said he would check his truck. 5 minutes later and one phone call later by him, he came in wearing a mask. He did NOT check the heating gas like the prior service person from Max-Air, and said they did not usually do it....then he noticed our wi-fi thermostat had an inoperable touch screen. I said I'd have to go out to Lowes and get one and he offered to order one as they didn't have this model in stock. 3) We received call the new thermostat was in at the shop, they scheduled an appointment to install it, and the guy arrived - same situation, different installer, did not want to mask-up before entering the premises and made a phone call and hunted in truck after giving me guff. He installed the thermostat, and presented a bill which listed the thermostat at twice the price of Lowes, Home Depot, Walmart, or even Amazon. 4) after installation, we noticed the guy had not performed the setup "fully" and I had to call the shop. After several calls the manager called back, tried to guide me through setup, and he had the incorrect booklet information for the model he had sold me and couldn't guide me through the setup that had not been performed; then asked me to remove the thermostat from the wall and determine the dealer setup code from the back label, then tried to walk me through setup - again, not right info. This was also an older model of thermostat which has since been superseded by others, and I ended up doing the remainder of the setup myself once I had the dealer setup password from the back of the device, as even the shop manager could not correctly guide me through the steps. They explained their cost of the thermostat - higher than selling price at retail shops, and they could have made even more money by purchasing the thermostat from Lowes, Walmart, Home Depot, or Amazon!

They're a good company. Dennis, the owner, is very honest and does what he says he's going to do. We've used them several times and have been pleased each and every time. They're always willing to go out of their way for you.

I started using Max Air last year. They are the most HONEST A.C.company I have ever used. They will be the only people I will call if needed in the future.

I had them price a new A/C unit and was shocked at how much higher priced they are than the competition.

Bryce came out, I actually requested him, he is exceptional, he knows his stuff, and he knows customer service, and he did not try to sell me something I didn't need.

It was excellent! I learned a lot about my system that I never knew, like tips to keep it clean by adding some vinegar water when I change my filter. He was very knowledgable and professional. I will definately be calling them to maintain my system.

ennisI called about 8:15 AM to schedule a technician to get our A/C working as it was very humid. Christina was very professional and extremely nice over the phone. She put us on the schedule for the same day between 5:00 PM & 7:00 PM. I was happy with that time because usually when you call a service person especially HVAC/A/C I have had to wait up to (3) three days. Christina gave me the name of the technician that was to come to our house. I received a call from Bryce to say that he was on the other side of town, that the job he was on was taking longer than anticipated. He asked if it was OK if he could still come after he fixed the current issue. I said of course (these guys work long hours to ensure we are taken of). About 5 minutes later I received a call from the owner saying that he was coming right over and was on his way. He came he fixed the issue, he explained everything and was very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. My husband had bought a capacitor early that day to replace but had wired it wrong. I was extremely pleased with the appropriate price that we were charged. Based on previous experience with other A/C companies I was expecting hundreds. It cost us $240 the last company that came out to install that same $25 part. I will call Max Air again and again when needed and I will recommend to all of my family and friends. It didn't go very well. They didn't clean the air conditioning evaporator coil, they just looked inside. They did some other things but I expected them to clean it. I had to clean it myself. The price was okay. I expected that kind of price for that kind of maintenance call for my air conditioner. I can't judge the quality because they didn't do a standard cleaning of the evaporator coils. They responded very well. We had had other companies clean the evaporator coils but they didn't do it. That is the why I gave them a B.

Called this morning and technician showed up in about 30 minutes. Reviewed problem and checked out side unit. Found bad capacitor and replaced. Air working in about 30 minutes. Nice technician who was polite and neat. I would call them again with and air/heating problems.

Max Air Heating and Air Conditioning are superior contractors in all respects. I found them on Angie's List. I contacted and interviewed 3 other contractors, two working for Lowes and Home Depot. All were over-priced and installation contractors were NOT located in the Ocala area. I talked with local major facility managers and found that proper installation, reputation of the installer, and availability of parts/service are more important than cost of the unit being installed. Max Air exceeded all my expectations. They are a customer-first, service first organization. From first communication through installation, the work was first class and cost very reasonable. I highly recommend Max Air Heating and Air Conditioning. Excellent Air and Heating Contractor in all respects.

Bryce first came on Dec 30 and checked out my a/c which was not operating properly. He discovered that the motor was frozen up and so arranged to come back the next morning after giving it time to defrost. He returned the next morning and found that the motor needed to be replaced. He replaced it and got my air running again. This occurred during a time when we were having record high temperatures for December and I was suffering from the heat inside the house. I needed relief as soon as possible. Bryce's efficiency, professionalism and courtesy was greatly appreciated. I have been taken advantage of by another vendor in the past and am very glad to report how happy I am with the honest, caring and fair way I was treated this time.

A/C went out on Christmas day while cooking turkey.....so I contacted these folks and they made an appt to come the day after Christmas The repairman showed up on time and within 5 minutes told me my capacitor failed and needed replaced. He did the job within 30 minutes and I was back having cooler air almost immediately. He made sure the unit was okay, including checking the freon and told me I was good to go. Two things impressed me greatly.....that he responded the day after Christmas (a Saturday) on time, and that he informed me of the problem and had it fixed in literally minutes. In addition he was professional and friendly and cleaned up after himself. They will be my "go-to" a/c folks from now on. I highly recommend these folks to everyone.

Ok, but wasnt able to fix the problem within the scope of the visit.

My experience was positive. They were prompt is calling me back to schedule a appointment the next day (sooner than I thought they could come). Two guys came and were very professional and polite. They told what was happening and how to maintain going forward. Fixed the issue with my upstairs unit by cleaning out the line and completed a diagnostics on both units. We just purchased the house and could tell the units were a little older and not maintained well. The diagnostic gave us a lot more confidence in the AC/Heating for now. Thanks Guys.

They arrived on time, fix the a/c and the bill was fair. Very knowledgable staff

asked them over in august to discuss annual maintenance. they recommended twice yearly checkups before winter and before summer. came on time first and second time. installed their promised gadget as requested, again on time.

The technician was excellent and informed me of all that he was doing. He was efficient and I felt the cost was fair.

It wasn't very bad. They did the job but we're still experiencing the same problem. The company was fine. The gentleman that came in was a young man. My parents were home and they said that he was respectful, did his job and was good. The price was good.

The cost was reasonable. Their punctuality was good.

Service was awesome, got a call to schedule an appointment about 20 minutes after I purchased on Angie's List. Appointment was made for 48 hours later. Service Tech was prompt and diagnosed our HVAC problem within a few minutes, gave my wife and I a short list of preventative methods for the future and left our A/C working better then ever. Thanks Max-Air and Angie's List!

We have used this company twice. We have been pleased each time with the service provided by the company.

Used on rental property not in my immediate area. Per renter, arrived on time and proceeded to find & correct problem.
