The Technician, Grant, was very cordial and knowledgeable. He found things on my garage door that I did not recognize as a problem. He fixed things, tightened things and lubricated things, and now my garage door works like new.

Everything was fine. The service call lasted about 1 hour. Very satisfied with the offer and service provided

the price was $249, door was jamed, called DGD, as he had done a garage door tune up the pervious year, gave me a price of $159. I had to leave to go to a doctors app. when I came home my wife told me, the orice was $249. as he had to replace with longer rollers the rollers he had installed the pervios year

He was prompt, efficient and professional. He gave an honest assessment of the condition of the machinery. There was no unwarranted sales pressure.

Service went great, Technician was on time, and very thorough. Inspected the door hinges, operating mechanism. Lubed hinges and cables. Gave numerous suggestions. And was very polite. I’d have them back in a heartbeat if (or when) the door needs anything.

The service went fine. The garage door is still working just fine. I know the technician did a little extra work to fix a noise the door was making. He did a fine job and I had no problem scheduling the deal.

I had just moved into this house and I couldn't program the opener to work with my car's built in button. Tech arrived as promised and quickly diagnosed my problem as requiring a new logic board. It took him about 20 minutes to replace the board for $218. Retail for the part is about $100, so that was an hourly rate of $300/hr. Then he pointed out the rollers are quite loud and should be replaced. It took about 15 minutes and he charged $200. Retail for rollers is about $40, so that was an hourly rate of $640/hr. When I questioned the price of $413, he showed me the invoice that had flat rate prices already printed on it. I think that I was way overcharged for a service call that took less than 45 minutes. Plumbers and electricians charge about $90/hr. I would suggest anyone needing work done call around for rates in advance. I wish I had. Just to be clear it's the labor rates that I feel are way out of line.

Brian was the technition and was excellent. He was knowledgeable, friendly and thorough. All of our problems were taken care of. We will use DGD again.

They did not show up at the scheduled day and time and I have not heard from them since. I have hesitated to place a review as I am hoping it was something out of their control. But, wanting to trust in a company locally and Angie's List, I had to hire another company. Just disappointed in them and the lack of Customer Service!

After getting quotes from several garage door providers, I settled on Discount Garage Doors, as their price for a comparable insulated door was considerably less and they truly seemed to care about getting my business. In fact, their price was several hundred dollars less, which enabled me to buy a new opener as well (for the same price I would have paid another well-known vendor for just the door alone). I received their quote on Thursday, and was surprised to get a cheerful call on Monday indicating that they had the door in stock and were ready to install it the next day (Tuesday), if I was. They made every effort to work around my schedule, and ended up asking if I minded if their tech showed up early, since he was in the area and he'd already finished his first job. Their tech Brian arrived around fifteen minutes later, ready to work. And work he did. Brian fully dismantled my 30-year-old wooden double size door by himself (trust me, that thing was HEAVY), and then went on to install new heavy-duty rails/hardware, the brand new door, and the new opener, working solidly without giving himself so much as a lunch break. He had a great attitude, and truly did an outstanding job, as well as answering all my questions about the process and the product itself. Before leaving, he made sure to tell me what I needed to do to maintain the door. My new door is beautiful and works almost silently, as I was promised; and I would not hesitate to recommend this company for its professionalism, quality materials, and aggressive pricing.

The technician was helpful, knowledgeable and overall ver pleasant and professional. The problem was with getting the appointment scheduled. A couple of times the appointment was moved by the vendor, without consideration of my time and schedule. But it finally worked out.

.The first tech left the place a mess,left many screws laying around.Also drilled holes in my garage floor(he could have used the workhorses in my garage).They sent a 2nd tech to replace the dented panels and he did a Great Job,Was a little disappointed with the lack of response from the company.

This was our first experience with using Angie's List and you can imagine the impression we have and doubts of using it again. After initial contact they never got back with us on doing the job and it has been over three weeks.

During the visit all door rollers were replaced, the door was realigned and everything was lubricated.

I called this company due to it's high rating on here. My garage door was making a popping noise while going up and down. I was told over the phone there would be no charge for them to come and assess the issues with my door. The tech arrived and after looking at my door told me the problem was paint sticking between the panels since the door was painted within the last 6 months. He said I would need to scrape the doors to remove the paint or apply WD 40 to help. Ok no problem. Then without my consent he takes MY bottle of garage lube spray and starts spraying the door springs and in between the door panels. Then he tells me it will be $35. It was supposed to be free. I called the office that day to complain and they tell me he touched my door with his hands so it's $35. I didn't ask him to do so and he used my lube anyway. I asked them to not cash the check I gave them and was informed it was up to a supervisor who would call me. No one did call me by the way. How I was treated by this company makes me seriously wonder about the validity of all the reviews of A's posted by people on here.

I originally requested a garage door tune-up for $49, which he did and did very well. The service tech, Grant was professional and friendly and finished his work in a timely manner. He did a couple of additional adjustments and didn't charge me extra. He gave me some good advice for things I can do on my own to keep things running well. My garage door is now quiet and perfectly aligned. Additionally, I asked if he could install a wireless opener on the wall outside the garage door. Which he did, and only charged me about $100 (including the keypad). I was quite pleased and asked him to put a sticker on my garage wall for future times that I need more garage door work.

Went well, Brian the installer was really nice and did the job in a timely manner. The only thing I did not like is the type of keyless entry that they provided. In order to change the code...You have to climb up to the controller push the red button and it is quite a job. I also do not like the fact that I had to give my code to the installer to set it up. DGD, should provide a user friendly keyless entry, that you can change the code on easily. Other than that, it was ALL GOOD!!

I had a broken in spring in 2007 and called them for repair. At that time they did a great job and I got a "Lifetime Warranty Torsion Rebuild" package. It was expensive but they said it would be a lifetime warranty. On 2/16/14 a spring broke again. They came out Monday and replaced both springs with newer better springs and it did not cost me a dime. Roger was the technician and he did a great job and checked everything else over to make sure that everything else was in working order. The door works better now than it ever did. I would definitely recommend them and I will definitely be using them again.

It was okay. I bought upgraded wheels instead of the one that came so it wouldn't make so much noise. They did the job okay and all that. I had no problems. Everything has been running fine.
