About us

Discount Garage Doors has been serving 18 counties in Central Florida since 1998. We have 14 office employees and 29 technicians and installers. Our company was founded upon the principle of repairing garage doors properly for a fair price. Our reputation is well known in the areas we service, and more than 70% of our jobs are from referrals or repeat customers. We are family owned and operated, not a franchise or national company, which allows us to monitor closely the quality of our work. We use the absolute highest quality doors, operators, and repair parts, each one undergoing a strict quality assurance program. Our standard residential service call charge is $35.00, but we waive this for Angie's List members. In addition, we offer a 10% discount for jobs over $100.00 to members. We do not charge extra for after hours calls.

Great and fast.
Description of Work: Master Tech Justin Garofalo did a tune up on my Garage door. He was late by no fault of his own. But completed the tune up and lube of my garage door quickly and explained the service I needed. He offered to do the service now, but we could not afford it right now. He was very perfessonal and friendly. I now have some one to call for service.

Great, Would use again.
Description of Work: Replaced component in installed overhead garage door opener. Technician was quick to zero in on the problem component and replaced the circuit board from stock on truck. Thirty minutes from arrival to departure and garage door has worked perfectly over the past month. My only gripe was the cost, but that's how it goes these days. I am never happy with pricing these days, but it is what it is!

We're sorry you weren't happy with the service you declined. Unfortunately, if you have an older door sometimes the track that holds your bottom seal needs to be replaced before the seal can be replaced. On our bottom seal/garage door tune up deals, we have discounted the package so much that we simply can not afford to add additional pieces at no charge. We understand how this can be frustrating and our tech would have liked the opportunity to explain this matter and offer the normal discounts we always offer to our Angie's List customers.
