Excellent service

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. I had no problem with them. They did the job and left.

They came out and replaced the garge door opener.

He did great. He was very nice, professional and we would use him again. When we have to replace our entire garage door we will use them again as well.

I was happy with his work as far as it went. The garage door opener is very noisy. He never mentioned a repair or replace option. Unfortunately neither did I until after he left.

since I had to pay for the service call, I asked him to lubricate the door hinges, which he did.

They did end up selling me extra rollers on top of the deal price. The garage door does works fine and is nice and quiet. I would call them again.

Went well. The individual was late as he had a door to fix where someone could not get out of their garage. I suggest that when the appointment is set up that you emphasize that time is critical (if it is). Once he arrived, he was familiar with the type of door (good), understood the issues (noise, jerky) and knew what to do. I did not have to do the upgrade but believe that if I had not I would have the same issues shortly again. He was quick but methodical. Cleaned up after the service

I can't tell if the new rubber rollers are quieter because of the ruckus made by the motor!!

My experience was mixed. I found the technician to be excellent, polite and very thorough in his work. My garage door is running very smoothly now and I would use their service again (especially with this technician). I would grade him a solid A. Also, my experience with their main office was mainly positive as the entire team was very polite in rescheduling my appointment. It is because of the rescheduling that I lowered my overall grade to a "B." My original appointment, for which I took off an afternoon of work, was canceled 2-1/2 hours into my 3-hour appointment window (around 4:30 pm). The scheduler called to advise me that their current job was going to take much longer than expected and that there were still several jobs ahead of mine. So, my options were to have the technician come very late that day (possibly as late as 8 pm) or to reschedule to a 4-hour window several days later. I rescheduled. Obviously, I was disappointed and angered by their poor planning. However, in the rescheduled appointment, the technician did a great job in replacing a broken spring and some worn bearings. The garage door is very quiet and runs smoothly, so the end result met my expectations.

Roger was very knowledgeable and advised me on future repairs. However, those repairs are too expensive for my budget.

We purchased the Angie List deal of a garage door tune up and contacted Discount Garage Doors Inc the same day to schedule an appointment. When I called, the representative was very professional and let me know that they could schedule an appointment within 2 days of purchasing the deal. We agreed to Friday, March 1 between 10 am and 1 pm. The technician, Grant, showed up on time and introduced himself. He went over in detail exactly what he would be doing for the garage door tune up so we would know each step of the way what we should expect. Once he had gone over the tune up service, he inquired on whether we would like to purchase an upgraded roller then proceeded to go over each type of roller so we could make an informed decision. After reviewing the options, we agreed it would be best to upgrade the rollers (which by the way was a great deal at only $50). We then walked through our concerns with him on the garage door bottom seal since half of ours was worn away from time. He took the time to show us the bottom seal they use and provided us with the estimate for replacing it. We inquired whether he could do it same day and he said it would not be a problem. Within an hour, he let us know he was done then walked us through the work. He showed us what he had completed and let us know that he added a vertical track bracket as well. It was amazing how quiet our garage door was after the tune up. When you get used to hearing to, you never realize how noisy it really is until it is tuned up. I actually enjoy closing my garage door now knowing the only thing I will hear is the garage door opener. I would highly recommend Discount Garage Doors, Inc based on our interaction with scheduling and the technician. It really was a positive experience and am so glad I purchased this deal.

They were prompt, cheerful & courteous. I called their office mid to late morning, and the service was completed by late afternoon. Remotes and keypad are now working also.

Everything went well. Everyone showed up when they were supposed to and did the job they were supposed to. Priced charged was the agreed price. All in all the experience was professional, friendly and positive.

I first called another company I had used in the past. They refused to work on this one, stating they do not finish other peoples installs,under any circumstances! Hard to believe ,if you ask me. I had a scheduled inspection just days away, by the county for a rental assistance program for the new tenant. So I went to my Angie's List account, and found Discount Garage Doors. I called an explained the situation, time frame ,and condition of the door. The lady on the phone was very pleasant and helpful. She scheduled for the next day, but they had to cancel, I was called and informed well in advance,by the same lady. Next day the had to change the time from AM to PM,again I was called well in advance, and assured the work would be done days before my county inspection. The technician, Grant, called in advance and arrived as scheduled. He looked it over, called to find the correct springs based on the weight of the door to be used and gave me a price to get it working properly. Turned out there was a little more wrong with it then he thought, but he did not raise the price. I know it took much longer then he projected. He was there until after 5 PM ,cleaned up,and the door works just fine. Grant was a real pleasure to work with, very personable,hard working,and honest man. I hope that the company recognizes him for his great work!! He could easily be a manager for the company , when the opportunity arises.

Arrived at appointed time. Very pleasant and knowledgeable worker. Assessed problem, stated price, performed work. No problems. Door works like new.

In the interim, before they arrived, the door began working fine. No issue, and as they were an Angie's List "member" there was no service call charge. Liked their attitude and understanding.

I booked the appointment on a Sunday and received an almost immediate response from DGD by telephone. The DGD CSR booked an appointment for the very next day. The DGD technician arrived promptly on time for the appointment and had my garage door repaired within a couple of hours. He was a professional and knew exactly what he was doing and did outstanding work. The price was not cheap but reasonable considering the quality of the work accomplished as well as the outstanding customer service from start to finish.

I called a competitor of Discount Garage Doors, based on a neighbor's recommendation, and had an "annual" service performed. Four days later, when the temperature dropped to the 30s, my garage door would not close. I called the competitor and they gave me no advice but were willing to send out a technician (for ANOTHER service charge). I went online to find some advice and decided to try to fix it myself. Big mistake. Then, I went to Angie's List and found Discount Garage Doors. Roger came promptly and, after I explained that the door wouldn't close when the temperature dropped, he adjusted the sensor, adjusted the emergency device, greased the main track and sprayed the rollers. He gave me instructions on how and when to perform these things myself. He also noted that I might need new springs this winter as mine were getting old, but most importantly, he did not pressure me to buy them right then. I appreciated that Roger was professional and didn't laugh at my attempt to fix the darn door myself. Discount Garage Doors covers all of central Florida; technicians are assigned a territory to service and I was lucky to get Roger for my territory.

They did a really great job. They treated our home with care and the technicians treated them like valued customers and not just elderly people. They all looked and acted professional. The worked turned out great and the price was great. They didn't have to order the door and wait for several weeks. I would recommend them again.

The repair went as planned, quickly and efficiently. Cost was excellent and worker educated me as well during the repair.

The process was very easy. The first vist was from an estimator. He placed the order for the door. It took a while to get the door in because it was a special order. They pulled all of the permits prior to the door arriving. When they came to install the doors they were on time. They did a good job and cleaned everything up before leaving. They made the arrangements for the inspector to come and sign off on the installation.

Great Overall, Normal human errors in communication. But company and employees were quick to accomodate our needs. We shopped many installers and companies and this company delivered a quality product at the lowest available market price.

Called them and informed them and thold them I got their name off of Angieslist.They said there would me a $35 etimate fee if don't win the job. I said that on the Angies web page you don't charge $35 if I tell you that I'm an Angielist member. They said that is not the case and thier would be a $35 fee, but that I would get it back if I give them the Job. I called another local company they are coming out today to give me a Fee Estimate.

Prompt response to call,estimate to replace springs to open garage was $550.00 And accepted.Job completed in approximatelty 40 minutes.Total price with taxes $589.57. BIG PROBLEM: the same job was performed on adjacent home for ONLY $ 130.00 I think the public should be made aware of these price-gouging companies
