Response from Honest AC of Venice Inc
I have made two attempts to contact this customer and did speak with his wife concerning this review. I expressed my concerns about this review and that it was unfair and inaccurte. I requested the customer rethink his review and hopefully revise the review. Since this was not done I feel compelled to set the record straight and tell the rest of the story. We originally replaced the customers air conditioning system through a taxpayer funded Weatherization program at no cost the the customer in November of 2010. This new system had a 10 year parts and 1 year labor warranty. We performed a free maintenance inspection before the first year labor warranty was expired. The labor warranty expired in November 2011. The service call was on August 25,2012, {9 months after the labor warranty expired} a Saturday. The customer was charged an $85.00 diiagnostic charge and quoted an exact price to pick up, install and file the warranty for the motor. Since it was a weekend and the customer had no cooling, we offered to install a temporary motor until the new motor could be installed. The customer would have to pay just the labor cost for this temporary repair, which they declined. The new motor was replaced on Monday at the agreed on price and were not charged any additional service charge. Since this customer rated us very high in all catagories except price...if is obvious to me that the only way to get a good rating from this customer would have been to do it for free.
