Description of Work: Bay Area replaced both of our air conditioning units. We have used them before in a different house to replace both of the units there. They came with two crews to make it go faster. They were clean, courteous, and very efficient. The price was very fair and I would use them again tomorrow if need be. They call once a year for the maintenance, which I pay for, that keeps the warranty in effect for 10 years parts and labor.

Description of Work: Person that bid the job suggested we add 3 return air ducts to properly balance the system. When the people doing the actual job looked in the attic they pointed out there was no way anyone could fit in the attic and install the additional duct work. I feel the person that bid the job never looked at the attic otherwise he would have seen that for himself. The person installing the A/C unit was stuck in the middle of the re-negotiation of the price and I feel there wasn't enough reduction in the price to compensate for them not installing the additional return ducts to the rest of the house. The system was already partially removed and I felt I had no recourse to negotiate a fair reduction in price. The installation of the A/C unit and air handler that was completed was done to my satisfaction. I am only complaining about the job not being completed as agreed to in the initial proposal.

Description of Work: Replaced a fan. I'm not convinced that it needed to be replaced. The man also tried to convince me to have other work done (replace breaker panel, replace fluorescent light fixtures). He also removed the wall switch for the fan with a cover and broke the new remote and put tape on it. He took my old fan so I can't prove it would have worked but I think it was just out of balance.

Description of Work: This provider came out approx 3.5 weeks ago and filled the service bought which somehow charged for 2 units($98.00 instead of $49.00) Bob realized that as soon as he came out when there was only one unit in my one story home. He told me he could refund me the money or it would be applied toward any work done. I had them scheduled 3 wks out(today 9-26-2014) and for some unforeseen reason they could not make it. It is very difficult for me to plan a day off of work so I cancelled them for a future time. They will not refund my $49.00 stating that Angie's list only paid them $49.00 and that you hold the other $49.00. Please help me with the missing $49.00. | |Thank you, | |Colleen Dillon |

Description of Work: Installed a completely new carrier AC system. I received many estimates from other AC companies, but ultimately decided to go with Bay Area after meeting with Pat. Pat told me exactly what I needed and did not try to sell me anything I did not need. He answered all the questions I had and was very professional. In addition, Sal and Frank were extremely professional and the job was done in timely manner.

Meeting with representative Pat McCarthy went very well and all of our questions were answered to our satisfaction. Installation was done by Sal and Frank and performed in a timely, efficient manner.

Description of Work: Came to the condo, serviced the inside and the outside of the ac unit. Identified the unit from the others on the roof. Cleaned and serviced.

Description of Work: Bay Area replaced our entire A/C system with a new Carrier model. Service was excellent, worksmanship was excellent. We had used Bay Area to service our previous Carrier system that was installed by a local competitor years ago. I was always impressed with Bay Area, so when it came time to change out the system, we gave them the opportunity, after they mached another competitors estimate.

Description of Work: During a routine check-up the heat exchanger was found to be defec tive.

Description of Work: AC/Heating check up. Special was advertised for $69. When the service man arrived on time, he noted that we have two AC units; and, the special price of $69 was for one. We had interpreted the one as "one service call" not one unit. He called his company and quickly agreed to give us the same quote of $69 for each unit; and, he stayed the extra time to service both units on the one service call. Very professional, and accommodating.

Description of Work: This company advertises that they service Ocala and when I called in asked for my zip code and said they covered that area. I waited until the next day for a return call. After being required to explain the entire situation -- that I needed repair on one unit and an estimate to replace another unit (possibly two), I gave all my information; again the zip code was checked. Then when getting the street address, I was informed that although my zip code is listed as an area they serve, they don't really cover Ocala, only a small section in the very far midwest area of unincorporated Ocala. I explained that I chose them from Angie's list because of their information there stating that they covered the Ocala area. By this time, I had waited another day, wasted 30 minutes on the phone, only to find out that they weren't going to provide service or sell me an air conditioner. If you live in Ocala, don't waste your time calling this company. There advertising is not accurate and you will waste alot of time only to find that they won't provide service.
