Bay Area Air Conditioning did a great job. First, I went through a vetting process of getting three reputable Air Conditioning companies by cross-referencing many different web sites to ensure they have positive reviews and few complaints. They all came out to give me bids on a new Carrier Infinity system I predetermined was the best for my needs. Jim Norton representing Bay Area, took the most time inspecting my old system and even crawled around in my attic on a hot day. He identified several issues with the old system, wrote up a proposal and it was sent to me that day. Not only was this the most thorough, but it was also by far the least amount of money (one of my criteria, but not the sole factor) . They scheduled installation. The installation was not as smooth as I would have liked, given that it was 97 degrees outside and 110 inside the attic, some mistakes were made. However, the promptly came out and made the needed corrections and made things right. I’m new to Palm Harbor, but now have the A/C people I will be using for the rest of my time here. For starters, Bay Area’s annual service subscription is $199.00—everything else is on top of this fee. The young person Bay Area sent on 5 July told me the system looked great. He just wanted to top off the coolant. It appeared as if he was taking some time with the coolant, so I checked on him through my Floodlight Camera. I was shocked to see a huge plume of coolant escaping out of my A/C unit (I still have the video of it). I ran out and asked him what he was doing (while the coolant still poured out) and he said that it was just a bad o-ring on his hose. When he was finished, he handed me a bill for $349 (for 5 lbs of coolant) + $199 (annual service). Hmm, all of that coolant and he didn’t find a leak? After the servicing, I decided there was something sketchy about the check-up. I didn’t like the way the kid expelled the freon into the air and the fact that he put so much coolant in, yet he couldn’t find a system leak. Therefore, I called Bay Area Cooling and told them to cancel my annual service contract. The receptionist told me they would not refund my Service Fee. I told her I didn’t care. Two days later, I had to go to Washington D.C. for two months. When I returned, I switched on the A/C and it blew hot air. A different company (Bayside Heating and Cooling) checked the system and identified the problem in the first five minutes as a rusted out, leaky Dryer/Filter. So now I have to pay Bayside to fix the rusted Dryer/Filter plus pay for more coolant—it figures. I don’t mind that Bay Area didn’t refund my Service Fee. I’m sending to the EPA the video, from my Ring Floodlight Camera, of their kid expelling the coolant into the atmosphere constantly for at least ten minutes (until the Ring video shut off). I believe Bay Area may face a federal fine for the negligent discharge.

They came out at night and fixed our AC unit. The technician was very helpful and professional.

They were professional from the very beginning. We had decided on Bay Area Air Conditioning in New Port Richey because of the ratings that appeared on your website. The receptionist was knowledgeable and immediately scheduled an appointment that afternoon. The technician got to work as soon as he arrived and had everything back to working order in a short amount of time. We even received a phone call from Bay Area AC the next day to check if everything was working well; which it was.

Very Well. We have used this company for a few years now and have been impressed with their professionalism and fair price. We can always tell that the unit runs better after their annual visit (something we could not say about previous companies we used). They have never tried to sell us an upgraded unit or additional products that we don't actually need. We plan on continuing to use them i the future.

Excellent! The crew was prompt, worked VERY hard, clean and neat when done. Had our hvac and electrical permit inspections today and both inspectors said they were the easiest and most professionally done jobs they had seen in a while!

I could not be happier with the service I received. My old unit was tired and on its last leg. My 92 year old grandmother lives with me and I needed A/C that day, the crew they sent out worked very hard to get a whole new replacement done in 1 day!! The attention to detail was outstanding. I received a 5 ton Infinity Greenspeed Heat pump, the highest efficiency unit on the market and over 3K less that the nearest competitor. The warranty is 2nd to none.

When they say they are going to be here, they are usually here on time. We have been using them for about 10 years now.

I called their main company in New York, and someone from Tampa came out 7 times to fix my air conditioner. I had a warranty with this company. They tried to sell me a new unit that I didn't need.

Technician was on time (called ahead to let me know what time he'd be there). He was friendly, provided detailed information about what he was doing and what he did. Thoroughly checked everything. This process from beginning to end was quick, easy, and very well priced. I will definitely use this company for my AC needs.

Excellent. We have used Bay area to service our 2 units for the past 8 years (since they installed the units). Technicians are well trained, polite and professional. Scheduling is easy and the staff are always on time. I saw an offer on Angie's list and it coincided with my annual service dates so took advantage of the offer. We'll continue to use them for our A/C needs.

I was very happy with the job done. Don and partner Donny arrived on time and got right to work. They showed me what they were doing and explained thoroughly when ever I asked a question, Start to finish took about 7 hours, and they worked right through. As they finished up Donny went through and cleaned up any dirt they had left. A job well done.

I got a new air conditioner and within 2 months it completely fell apart. They responded immediately to install a new unit and pricing was reasonable.I had to wait one week to get the money and he did not wait for that. He came in and did the work and waited for his money. He is good hearted and does good work.

Service Technician Don Kemp did a complete job of cleaning and testing my a/c system. He informed me of all his observations and let me know that although the system was 10 years old, it was performing well and should last a while longer.

The provider arrived on time. He fixed the AC. At the time of the invoice preparation there was a little misunderstanding about how to factor the coupon. A quick call to the office desk fixed it and I got my discount. It went well.

Bay Area Air Conditioning & Heating repaired my unit in record time. I called at 8:00 AM and made an appointment for the afternoon. A short time later, they called back and asked if they could come early. Frank, the tech, was here working on the unit by 9:20 AM. After a short diagnosis, Frank indicated the system was low on refrigerant and fixed it on the spot. Very prompt, courteous and professional service. The price was also very fair. Nice job! Thanks!

After requesting several estimates from highly rated Angie's List HVAC companies we decided to go with Bay Area Air Conditioning due to their size, reputation, and years in the business in this area. They were not the cheapest but offered the Carrier brand for the same price as the others were quoting for lesser brands. They also determined we needed a 2nd air return duct to improve the overall system. The sales rep, office staff, and all the mechanics were very professional and arrived when they said they would. The company also did a great job of keeping our old unit alive for no additional cost until our new unit came in two weeks later. I also liked that we could purchase the labor for any repairs for $60/yr. up to 10 years. The manufacturer's warranty covers 10 years parts and one year labor. The replacement work went quite well, they cleaned up, and showed me how to use the new thermostat. It was a good experience.

We have been using Bay Area Air Conditioning & Heating New Port Richey, Florida 34653. With yearly service contracts on our two 23 year old systems. Yuri our regular maintenance guy has been keeping these systems going for the last 8 years. He has told us that they were getting near their end time..lol He gave us quotes the last 3 or 4 years but never pressured us. We finally decide to replace the two units at the same time and got a update quote from Yuri. We have a split house layout with one unit to heat/cool one side and another unit to heat/cool the larger side. We decided on the medium price range and selected the two Base 15 Comfort Models Total Cost after discounts $9700 (plus we get a $150 eclectic credit seer>15 one each unit from Duke Energy) 1 1/2 ton and a 3 ton units and air handlers. (air handlers were in the attic area above the garage) The work was done over two days the smaller 1 /1/2 one first and larger unit 3 ton the second day. Sal and Team did the install job. They showed up on time and went right to work. Within a few minutes it was clear that they knew what they were doing. They were also very professional, clearly had all the required knowledge and were friendly and courteous. Our whole experience with Bay Area Air Conditioning & Heating, now and over the years has been pleasant . As they have always show a dedication to friendly service.

First, Pat McCarthy is an excellent representative for this company. The first visit he explained two different Carrier Infinity Systems and recommended one for me. Pat returns calls prompty and I never felt rushed when I asked a lot of questions. I received three other bids for the same Carrier system and they ranged from $10,000 to $8,500 which was much more than I paid to Bay Area Air Conditioning. Bay Area gave exceptional Carrier rebates which was a selling point for me. This company backs the Carrier system with a 10 year parts and labor clause in the contract. Sal and Ross were the installers and they arrived on time and worked all day to get the job finished. Sal took time to explain the digital thermostat and set it up. After a few days, Pat came out to look over the installation. At that time, he worked with me on programming the thermostat so that I was more comfortable. I had an additional question about the dehumidifying process so a service technician called me on Saturday, 6/21/14 to walk me through adjusting the fan speed to increase the dehumidty process. All in All, I love the new Carrier system. It is too early to tell how much electricity I will save, but I hardly hear the unit so I don't think it is running nearly as often as the 13 year old Lennox system that I had. Best of all, the house is so cool. Will have this company perform all routine maintenance.

Fine, as I am a professional air-conditioning cleaner I have to say he did a good job. Everything seems to work fine. He did tell me I should not be wasting my money on expensive conditioning filters, cheaper green ones are better for you system!

Frank did a great job. He was very easygoing and explained everything he did. I will hire him again.

Great communication and as described. Installation was less than the timeframe they advised on and all was left clean and very happy with work performed. Technicians were very friendly, as was the salesman, and answered all questions and explained everything. Very happy with the service and so far all is working fine. Have had this company service my old air conditioner (Carrier) for the last 12 years and never a problem and always very good at turnaround times.

We have a contract with them. They are good. I am happy with them. As far as I know, they do a good job. They are professional and get the job done.
