ABOVE THE REST PAINTERS

Above the Rest did an excellent job painting the exterior of our house. From the estimate to the completed job, everything went great! Fred, the owner, seems to run a tight ship and all the guys who did the work were very good at their jobs. They showed up on time and ready to work. His dad, Tony, was on site the entire day to be sure everything went well and that all our requests were honored which meant a lot to me as I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist! They used top of the line Sherwin Williams paint and were neat and respectful of our home whether inside or out and cleaned up everything before they left. We felt their pricing was very good and we would not hesitate to hire Fred and his crew again! We have received many compliments on the house and owe it all to Above the Rest Painting!!

I needed the interior of mine and my parents home and the exterior of my parents home painted. After I had recently painted the exterior of my own home and learned how much work it entails if you want a great job done, I decided to have someone come out and give me quotes. Fred was not the lowest or highest. The cost of a paint job really depends on if there is a lot of prep, how much painting is needed to be done, and how picky you are. Fred and his crew showed up on time. His crew was great. Once they started, I began to see how much prep needs to be done even on a newer home. Things get taped off, primer coats go on, they did way more on the outside to prep than I did on my home. And I am pretty particular. After everything is done they do a walk through. You point out anything they may have missed. Our colors were very close to the old ones so seeing missed spots took more than one pair of eyes. Overall I am very pleased with these guys. I spend a lot of time researching things before I make a decision to spend money, especially on bigger purchases. I can't say I would have picked anyone else in my area for painting except Fred and his crew. If I had to pick anything wrong about them it would be they get a little overly ambitious to go out of their way to please you if there is a hiccup. I found it awkward a couple of times because I'm not big on people going out of their way for me. Give them a call. At the very least you get a quote and meet Fred to see how down to earth he is.

Fred came out to give a quote and he was the only painter who showed us proof of a license. He gave us specific details of what would be done in each room and a guarantee that we would be happy with the job. Fred answered all our questions and concerns, without hesitation, and quickly helped us realize that he was the right person to go with. He ordered all the paint and had it delivered to the house (although he also offered for us to get our own if desired). The day of the job, his crew was supposed to show up at 8am, Actually, they were already waiting for us at 8am. This never happens when we hire someone for a project. Usually 8am means 830 or 9am. His whole crew was friendly and professional. I kept waiting for a catch since big projects like this never go off without a catch. Well, there were TWO catches - neither one was his fault. We just purchased the house and the water was supposed to switch into our name the following day. But, the water company came by and shut off the water while they were painting. No problem. His crew worked something out with our neighbors to use their water., Also, a big mirror and wallpaper that we tore down in our bathroom the night before left holes and gashes in the wall (and there was no texture underneath). He apologized multiple times for having to charge us extra to repair all the damage, but, we knew this was not in the quote and he was very fair with the price. He again offered a choice in case we didn't want him to do the repairs. Even with these unforeseen problems, his guys worked from early morning until after dinner to complete the whole house in a day. Looks amazing and couldn't be happier. Very, very uncommon nowadays to find companies that provide great quality, friendly service, and fair pricing all wrapped in one - especially when problems arise that aren't even their fault! These guys did an amazing job. I have never seen a crew work with such precision and perfection. Rick was an exceptional leader of the group. I got quotes from the top painters in my area and will never regret hiring this company. I knew the quality of their work already as they have done several neighbors' homes. I love my new paint job and highly recommend Above the Rest.

Frank's crew did an awesome job. The quality of their work was excellent, they showed up on time, and the crew was very friendly. They completed the job a day early which allowed us to complete our move earlier than expected. Price was not "cheap" but competitive. Call these guys if you want the job done right at a reasonable cost.

Just purchased a home and they worked with our tentative closing schedule. Tony was early for the quote and showed up early to paint making it easy for me to go to work. They completed the job in one day, exactly as I wanted it. They painted walls and then contrasting trim. Several different colors but they still did the job in one day. Excellent service, fair price and so worth the money.

I called 3 different painting companies in the area to get quotes to have the exterior of my house painted. Within a couple of days I received 3 quotes and above the rest was almost 1000.00 less and they used the top of the line paint(unlike the other 2 companies). They finished my house in 2 days, it looks absolutely amazing, and I would absolutely recommend you call this family owned and very well run company!!!!!!

I called Above the Rest to paint one bedroom. Not a big job for sure, but one that was time-sensitive to me as I was moving my mother into my recently purchased house after my father passing. I called on a Friday, and he sent Jorge out on the following Monday. Jorge was professional, efficient, and very personable. I learned that Jorge has been with Above the Rest for years. It was an additional comfort to me that Fred (the owner) has long term employees. He must be doing something right. With a newly purchased (older home), I have plenty of painting jobs ahead and Above the Rest will be the contractor I call. I could not be more pleased. Fred is honest, exudes goodwill, takes care of his people, and treats his customers right. Call them – you won’t be sorry!

Great. Fred is very professional. There were several rain delays however he called each time. His workers are polite and the job was completed in a timely fashion. Well worth the price paid. Would definitely rehire.

Very well. I feel I got the absolute best quality job done at a competitive price. The crew was very professional. Even when they forgot to replace a recessed light, after the job was done and they had gotten paid, I contacted them and they promptly came and replaced it.

These guys were amazing. Fred Ferrer provided the estimate and gave us a lot of detail on the paint they used (Sherwin Williams Duration on top of primer) and the process. Price was good, we liked their reviews and the information he provided, so we picked them. Then when they came out they did exactly what he said they would do and kept to exactly the schedule they promised. They were incredibly neat, careful about our landscaping, and the final product (6 months later) still looks great. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

We called five exterior painting services for quotations. Only three responded. In fact two top rated painters were unreachable by phone, or the contact section of their website. The three that responded came to the house, surveyed and measured the job and gave their opinion of the process they use and explained paint qualities. Out of the three I was impressed with the technical knowledge and the time spent explaining “Above the Rest” painting had about the process, how the paint should be applied and the painting steps. In addition, they would have the paint and supplies delivered by the paint supplier’s truck to assure there would not be a “Bait and Switch.” In fact all he supplies were bought from the same quality paint supplier. No deposit was required up-front. Comforting thought. Because of the rainy season we had to wait abut 3-4 weeks before they could actually start painting. They started off by power washing and trenching the day before the painting crew would start. The next day 6 painters showed up along with one of the owners. A second owner showed up a little later. I was concerned with this many painters they would get in each other’s way. I was assured that each painter had a task and would not. They did seem to work in harmony as the owner and I went around to monitor. It was comforting to see at least one of the owners on site throughout the job coordinating and monitoring. I and one of the owners did many walk arounds during the masking, caulking and priming process, then again during the trim painting and the house body painting. They competed the entire house except for the pool deck. Because of the threat of rain had to return the next day to complete the painting. Did a final walk around before paying. The paint job turned out like a professional job should.

The work performed was exceptional and the crew was top notch. The house turned out exactly as we envisioned it and we can't say enough about the service and professionalism of the company and crew.

I am extremely pleased with my entire experience with Above the Rest. From the initial visit, through the estimate process, color selection, and actual painting, everything with this project went incredibly smoothly. Everyone at Above the Rest was pleasant and professional, and kept us fully up to date when the painting was delayed due to weather. As soon as they had a window of good weather, the crews were here and finished the work quickly and efficiently. The work was top notch, and they turned our ugly, dated house into something much, much nicer. They used high quality paint, and did an excellent job painting only the parts that were supposed to be painted - I still have yet to find a speck of paint on the windows, patio, etc. and the kicker - Above the Rest was by far the lowest bid we received, even lower than companies using a lower quality paint. I wouldn’t hesitate one second from hiring them again!

This company is exceptional and I am very picky. The owner Fred Ferrer is responsive, caring, detail oriented, and very accommodating. I would highly recommend and would definitely hire again! I tried to paint the house myself and when I realized it was too big of a job I called him and he had someone out the same week. My house looks beautiful and I am very happy!

Look no further than Above the Rest painters. These days it is hard to find a company that is actually trustworthy, they are the exception. They were very detailed from the beginning. Their pricing was very reasonable. Painters were excellent and courteous at all times. They were on time, kept everything clean and did an amazing job painting the exterior of our house. They went well beyond and did a perfect job as promised. I interviewed many other companies but it was really obvious that this family owned company cares. They truly understand good old fashioned customer service. They exceeded my expectations significantly. I would strongly recommend them to everyone I know and would absolutely use them again!
