Everyone was very professional, courteous and went out of their way to please me and the homeowner. They all really do go above and beyond what's expected. I will definitely keep their number for any other painting needs I have in the future.

I emailed Fred and he called that day. He just happened to be in the area and came that afternoon to do an estimate. He is very friendly and professional. He advised us that he knew he would be competitve on the paint job but knew he would come in higher on the roof tile because he felt he did a better job than most roof cleaners. He had an estimate emailed to us the next day. We received three estimates and although he wasn't the lowest we liked Fred and hired Above the Rest to do the job. Above average rain put off our job for about a week but as soon as the clouds broke they were here. The workers were prompt and very professional. The first day was spent power washing the roof and house. Aside from the small paint chips in some spots that are impossible to pick up, we wouldn't have even know they were here. The second day they sealed and painted. They stayed extra late to get the job finished. Tony ran the job and he is just fabulous. He walked me around the house several times to make sure that I was completely happy with the job. He called Mario to fix spots many times that I hadn't even noticed. Even wiping off the darn lovebugs! The jobsite was left spotless. The house looks beautiful, including the tile roof. Many of my neighbors have asked for their name so I hope they get some more jobs! Hire them..you won't be sorry.

I contacted Fred Ferrer, owner of Above The Rest Painters and asked him to come out for an estimate on a painting job. He came out when he said he would and even called me to let me know he was on his way, which I appreciated. I had just put a new roof on and wanted all the trim (drip edge,facia,and soffets) painted to compliment the roof color. I also had Fred take a look at painting my front porch (all original wood), back patio wooden deck, exterior doors including front entrance door and sidelights, posts, and new wooden cypress shutters. Additionally, we had new cypress construction for window awnings to support metal roofing. It was a lot of tedious work involving primer, 2 different color deck paint, trim paint (2 colors) and wood stain for the cypress. I wanted to preserve the saw blade marks in the cypress and Fred matched the wood stain with the house trim color. It came out beautiful. Couple things you need to know. I am a bit of a perfectionist especially when it comes to my house. Hiring a contractor is always scary for me because I am usually under-whelmed with their work. Fred however is an unbelievable detail person which was such a welcome relief. He and his crew were extremely neat and detail oriented. I was concerned that the painters would accidentally over spray my new roof in painting the drip edge and trim. He assured me it would be perfect and it was. The whole job was perfect and Fred was on the job almost constantly having his crew handle things to his satisfaction which to my surprise, was more rigid than mine. When they finished at the end of every day, they cleaned up and you couldnt tell they were there. Another positive attribute of Fred and his crew was that he took so much time with us before starting the job on getting the colors just right. He made recommendations on paint color to my wife and I that we had never considered. He was a pleasure to deal with as he truly wanted us to be happy with the job. He wouldnt accept any payment till he was done and the job was fully inspected. I loved the job they did. My house is beautiful. Also Fred had one of his guys even paint the concrete stem wall of my house ( and we had not hired him to do this) because with all the new paint, it looked necessary. He never even charged us for this. I truly cant say enough about Fred, his work ethic, and his crew. I cant remember the last time I was overwhelmed with excellent quality work like this. Finally! A professional who values his relationship with his customers. Fred and his team did a meticulous job on the interior of my 1950's refurb project home. They were detailed in gathering my requirements and fastidious in ensuring the job met my expectations. The colors matched exactly what I picked out. the lines are clean (not easy with plaster walls) and I am happy. There were several follow items that Fred and his team handled quickly and professionally. I have already recommended Above the Rest to several of my friends and will continue to do so.

After hiring Above the Rest Painting to paint our kitchen, living room and dining room its clear they truly live up to their name. It's no wonder they were awarded the Prestigious Angie's list Super Service Award for 2013. Normally I would get 2 or 3 estimates before hiring a contractor. After reading the reviews for this company I wanted to get their estimate first. The owner Fred came out to give us the estimate, he was actually early for our appointment and was very thorough and professional. After meeting Fred I was so comfortable with him I hired him on the spot. The day of the job Fred called to let us know they were on their way. Both of his crew members were polite, professional and highly skilled and the end results showed with great attention to detail. My Rating... 5 Stars, Best in Class, Highly Recommended.

They did a great job. Work was performed on a timely basis. I have had several comments on how nice the house looks...extremely neat job. They were easy to work with and did a very professional job.

I was very pleased with the exterior paint job Fred and his team did for me on a rental house. This is an older home with burglar bars that was overdue for a paint job. When I met with Fred to get an estimate, he described in detail what he would do and gave me some suggestions for painting the exterior doors I thought I would have to replalce. His team arrived on time at the property and did a fantastic job! They were very meticulous, especially in painting the ornate designs on the burglar bars. They even painted some additional items, including a curved bench and concrete table, and a two-seat chair to match the house. When I went to inspect the job, Fred?s crew chief told me to walk around and if there was anything I wasn?t satisfied with to let him know and they would gladly fix it. I pointed out a couple of minor things and they quickly addressed them. Fred did an outstanding job and I am would highly recommend him.

Fred and Tony were great! Set up an appointment immediately within 24 hours. walked around the house asking us what we wanted and he also made great suggestions. Scheduled the 2-3 day work window based on weather. Very professional and meticulous of the work being done. Very please with the finished project.

I had contacted 3 different painters on Angie's List to get quotes for painting our downstairs, including front room, kitchen, main room, dining area, and bathroom. All 3 painters came onsite to give me estimates, but Tony not only made us feel comfortable with the job, but he stressed several times their attention to detail, and that was something we didn't feel we got from the others. Their price was in the middle of the quotes, and we pulled the trigger. We were disappointed to hear though that they were about 4 weeks out before they got to our house, but I guess that shows that their skills were in demand. Tony contacted us several times over the next few weeks to ensure that everything was set and to answer any questions we had. He called the night before the confirm the next day and said they'd be here at 8am, and they were here exactly at 8am. Same for the next day, which they started at 7am. I couldn't be happier with the professionalism, the detail of the job, and they finished faster than expected. I'm very picky with the contractors I chose, and always ask for references or referrals, and I would not hesitate to hire Above the Rest Painters again.

Fred and his family (dad and borther all get involved) were great to work with. Very professional from the start and went the extra effort. There were right on time and did a great job. their workers were great and did a great job and cleaned up each day. Went above the amount of paint he thought and never once complained about it. They are already getting back on the schedule for some interior painting. if you want a professional job well done at a fair price these are the guys to use.

They were the best painters I had ever worked with. They were above and beyond everything. The painters were fabulous. Their skill level is very high. The owners, Tony and Fred, were constantly calling and letting us know when they'd be there. They'd come in and check the job and make sure everything was done right. The whole group was fabulous. We've never had painters come in and do such a good job and be so good and so professional. They got it all done in three days. They put back up our blinds and left us extra paint. They were great. He said he would see if he could work us within some bigger jobs and he did. I wasn't in a rush and expecting him to do it, but he called and asked if it would be okay to come out on Saturday morning and they worked until Monday night about 8:00 p.m.

Fred provided the estimate in May, 2014. The estimate was within $50 of the other estimate I received. The final charge was actually less than the estimate. On June 4th, the work began. The crew showed up at 9am and started pressure washing and then doing prep work. During the pressure washing, a piece of soffit trim came off. The previous owners of my house had patched an area with a pressed cardboard product where wood should have been used and painted it to match the adjoining wood. Above the Rest bought a piece of wood to fit the area and installed it with no added charge the next morning before they started painting. On June 5th and 6th the crew transformed my house. They worked continuously and quietly and showed fine craftsmanship. My house has two stories, a chimney, a 22 ft high tower and windows protruding from the very steep roof. Out back, there is a wall over the screened room. I never heard a complaint and no fear was shown. Instead, they expressed how interesting and unique the house was and how much they liked it. Just in case I can't upload a photo, I want to add that my house is a Tudor and has all kinds of beams that had to be hand painted at the edge where they met stucco. They even painted nice straight edges in areas nobody could possibly see from the ground, like the back of the chimney. I happen to be able see it from a window in the house, but I doubt they knew that. I think it looks great due to these guys, because they seemed to really care about doing a great job.

They were very easy to deal with. I had previously called a couple of painters who forgot about showing up for the estimates, so when I came across this firm on Angie?s list I was hesitant, but they did provide a fair estimate at the time they said they would. Most importantly, they did a fantastic job in 1 day. I appreciate this as I am a single mom with a nosy baby and she was all ready to get out of the house at them. Additionally, they came the day before to pressure wash the house. In this process there was an issue with the windows. I live in an older subdivision and apparently Laurel and Hardy built my home. They installed aluminum windows and they painted the aluminum portion to be white. I was very concerned I was going to have to go through the cost of installing new windows, but Above the Rest was able to paint the aluminum for a fair price and save me some money. I would definitely recommend them and will use them in the future. Thanks about the rest.

Fred and his crew were great. All of the work was started and completed on time and the results were excellent.

They accomplished this monumental task in an amazing 2 days with a crew of 4-5 workers. Their base price of $3,425 was extremely reasonable and included all labor & materials. We paid an extra $300 for the high-quality Sherwin Williams Durations "super paint" they suggested we use on our aging home, and we feel confident it will help protect our stucco from weather damage for at least a couple of decades to come. They went above & beyond what we expected of them and painted EVERYTHING on the outside of the house, including some black wrought iron and our garage door. At the end, they walked around the house for a final inspection and so we could have them correct anything we felt they had overlooked, but there was nothing we could nit-pick !! They were highly responsive, professional, pleasant, knowledgeable, and gave us suggestions regarding paint colors based on their 20 years of experience. We are extremely pleased with the results and would highly recommend this company to everyone !

I contacted Above The Rest and the owner's father, Tony, came out to give me an estimate. He was super friendly and promised to beat any other companies estimate. That wasn't necessary though, because their estimate was almost half of the others I had received. I was having new flooring installed and wanted to have the walls painted beforehand and they were able to come out on a Saturday to get it done for me. They were very careful to protect my furniture and even though I told them the existing flooring was coming out in a few days, they were very careful to protect that too. They worked quickly and did an amazing job. Everything looks great and I am extremely pleased with the finished product. Tony and the painters were friendly and professional and a pleasure to work with. I will be painting the outside of my house next year and will be using them again for that job. I absolutely recommend them to others.

I called Above the Rest and Fred picked up immediately. I never had to leave a voice mail. I originally called just to get an idea on how much the job would be and after discussing it with my better half I called back an hour later to confirm price, set time and date to start job. He followed up the day before arrival to confirm paint color and time of arrival. The crew notified they were on site to start work. They took there time and were thorough. After completion which only took a couple of hours we inspected the work they did. The real test was a couple of days later when we had some rain fall come through. The water was no longer coming down through the stucco. Thank you Fred for your professionalism and I would use Above the rest again.

I found Above the Rest Painters on Angie's List and called for an estimate. Fred immediately returned my call and scheduled an appointment. He showed up exactly on time, gave an extremely reasonable estimate and very detailed explanation of the work to be performed. The team showed up right on time on the scheduled day and did a fantastic job on the exterior painting of my home. It looks fantastic. They are very detailed, organized, fast, and clean. I highly recommend this family owned business. They take the time to explain the process and the quality products that they use. They care about providing quality work and make sure you are satisfied with the work at the end of the day.

3 man crew came at 9 am and stayed until 7 pm to complete entire job. Moved all furniture and blinds then put all back when done. Cleaned up very good and left all extra paint.

fred responded quickly, gave us an estimate and even though he needed more paint than planned he did not charge us extra.

Tony gave me a detail estimate and step by step of how his crew was going to paint the house and he also told me what brand name sealer and paint he was going to use. The job was done exactly the way he stated. He even replaced the door bell switch that was broken. Overall Tony and his crew did an excellent job. THANK YOU.

Excellent job. Painted body color with contrasting trim and front door including changing the color of my phantom screen. Very careful and cleaned up beautifully. Would highly recommend them.
