Very expensive, took more than one attempt.

A very fine experience. Frieda jumped in and helped me with some glitches with Home Dept finanacing. The quote was clear and easy to uinderstand. The work crew was punctual and polite. They stayed several extra hours to fix a thermostat issue. I recommend these folks highly

Our old FHP heat pump A/C was staggering and we got a free estimate from Ocean State through Home Depot. They sent out a technician who said we needed a major cleaning and scheduled a service call. When the technician for the cleaning got here, he called me over and said that it didn't need a cleaning and might limp along for a year or so, but that it was at the end of it's life. It was 13 years old and the compressor was weakening. (The A/C ran non-stop just to keep the house at 80 degrees). He got an estimate of $5,400 on the replacement with all of the service calls taken off that. The crew arrived the next day and replaced the whole unit in 4 hours. They installed a new thermostat and tested the system and cleaned off the exhaust line to the intracoastal. The unit has performed flawlessly since, only coming on occasionally and cooling the house to 76 degrees easily. The installers were very professional and cleaned up completely before leaving. I can recommend them on all facets of my experience.

The customer service was great. They were here exactly when they said they were going to be here. They were very respectful about being inside my home and my possessions.

They were quick to come out, and they found and replaced the part quickly. They were very professional. They were very clean, and hosed everything down, including his umbrella. He even asked me for a rag with bleach on it to wipe away any mold that was on the unit before covering it back up.

Gave me estimate on duct work, but said it would depend on how long it took. They finished an hour early, but I was charged the full amount. When I called with the exact times of arrival and departure they credited me the $110 difference. After paying over $1200 in repairs and inspections, had to call them 3 months later for an additional $140 repair and then again one month later for an additional $184 diagnostic fee where I was told I should probably get a new unit (my current unit was 2001) for any where from $6000-$10,000. Called another company for a second opinion and was able to repair it for $980.

Depending on whom the company sends they do good work. They are only located down the street from me so they just call me before they come and are always prompt. The workers though are always friendly no matter who it is. I am not sure of the cost of the service though but, I know that I pay on a yearly contract.

When I called them to do the service call they were able to come out right away. The service tech was very nice and polite. He informed me of what was wrong. It was just the thermostat, so I told him that I would replace it myself. He was very nice about it.

Good. Pretty expensive, but they do a good job. My only complaint is that this company ALWAYS says you need a new unit. They offer only minimal advice about repairing your existing unit.

Ocean State Heating and Air showed up on time. They were very kind and courteous. They cared about us as a customer, because we were without air conditioning on a hot summer weekend. We were very pleased with them.
