Description of Work: The service technician performed a tuneup and added Freon to my AC system. He was polite and informative. I signed up for a two-year service agreement due to the professionalism of the technician. I appreciated the fact he did not try to sell me something I did not need.

This is absurd!! We are the highest rated company in the area and have been for years now. Does anyone believe we need to go around breaking systems and lying to people to make a buck? Furthermore, I instruct my technicians to let certain customers know that we are not interested in doing a repair. When a system reaches a certain age and condition, it does no good to put a bandaid on it. Just turns into a headache for the company and the customer. Thanks for your opinion. Description of Work: I scheduled an Air-Conditioning Tune-up through Angie's List to be performed by Pure Air. I was given an appointment on May 29 between 2 - 4 pm. I was told that the technician would call me prior to the appointment to let me know when he would arrive. I called Pure Air at approximately 3:30 pm and was supposedly given the technician's cell phone number. This number turned out to be incorrect and was actually the cell phone number for one of the store managers. I left a message, but did not receive a call back. I waited about fifteen minutes and called Pure Air again. I think I spoke to Morgan. She realized that she had given me the wrong number. I explained to Morgan that I had not heard from the technician and it was getting close to 4:00 pm. She said that she would call the technician. She then called me back and said that he was running late and would not be there until 4:30 pm. I was unable to wait due to other obligations and cancelled the service call. I had stayed at home all afternoon for the service call. I am requesting a refund in the full amount of $39.00. I was unable to reschedule due to leaving town. I also made this clear when I set up the original appointment with Pure Air. I am very disappointed that I did not even receive a phone call from Pure Air confirming the appointment or letting me know that the technician was running late.

Description of Work: My air conditioner stopped working so I called Pure Air with whom I had had a contract for 2 years running, but at this time the contract was over. So in comes the technician and tells me I need a new air conditioner as the drain pan is cracked. He is going to have someone call to set up an appoinment, meanwhile he puts a bucket to collect the water that will drip from this pipe. I am told to empty the bucket every 3 hours as it will fill up, this is in the afternoon. In the evening I looked and no water so I went to bed I awoke at 10:30 the next day and ran to the bucket thinking the water must be all over the floor, the bucket had maybe an inch of water. I decided to call someone else to look at the problem and indeed the technician came and found that all I had was a clogged drain, which he unclogged and the air conditioner is running fine since then. Granted the air conditioner is old and he can't guaranteed the life of it, but I don't need to run out and buy a new unit until this one actually dies. He also put in a new filter since the first company had failed to do so. |When the sales person contacted me I told him what had transpired and how I didn't think I should have paid $220 for something that was not broken, I expected to pay for the service call. He said the owner would call me, which Mr. Mike Cruthers did and proceeded to argue with me about how he stands by his tech and that the air conditioner will in fact stop running. It has not stopped running and I will never use this company again, since it seems to me as if they are in the business of selling air conditioners first and foremost,instead of repair.

My technician physically saw the crack near where the primary drain line comes out of your system. Might I add that this is not uncommon for a 15 year old Carrier air handler with a plastic drain pan. I also verbally explained to you that if the proper support bracket for the drain pan had been installed originally, this most likely wouldn't have happened (horizontal application). In order to replace this pan the evaporator coil would need to pulled out of the air handler. Something I would never advise on a 15 year old air conditioning system. My technician rerouted the secondary drain line to a bucket so that your air handler would not trip the float switch. An inch of water would indicate a small crack, nonetheless a crack. Also I don't offer refunds to customers who have a contractor in behind us that tells a customer something that is entirely false, or a least not nearly as thorough as my technician's assessment.
