I was expecting a more thorough cleaning of the air ducts. The hoses that were used did not appear long enough to reach into the middle of the ducts. I have had cleaning done at home and it seemed like a better service. Even after the cleaning we still had dust in the same amount as before.

It's one of these things that, I assume they did a good job, I have no way of knowing. They have a checklist of things they are supposed to do. There nothing I can see. I think that he was very professional. They either tell you that there are things that need to be fixed or that everything is okay. He told me that everything was okay.

That service turned out pretty average. One technician came out and he performed the service at the typical time frame that it would normally take. There was nothing special about what they did. I did feel like they tried to sell me a contract that I didn’t want. I thought it was unnecessary. They are also advertising on the radio that they are doing these same services for $48.00.

They scheduled a visit on Feb 21 between 1 and 3. At 4:30, we called to see where the tech was and was told he would be there shortly. By 5:30, he did not arrive so we called to cancel. As we were leaving our home, we saw his truck pass by so we went back to the house and told him that we had left a message that we wanted to reschedule. He didn't seem to have any idea that we had called. Well, it is now Tuesday, Feb 25th and we have not heard from them. We decided to cancel because of their unreliability.

They came in a week later it took about 8 hours. They cleaned all the ducts, added another return in a bedroom that was not getting enough air removed the old ac and replaced the new one. New outside unit as well. It does feel much cooler in the house but really will not know the impact until the hot, humid weather starts. It was hard to get in touch with the company because the best time for me to call them and schedule the service was after 4 when they leave the office and you reach an answering service. When I was able to call sooner in the day and got in touch with someone to schedule the service on my day off they were a no show. I called to find out where they were and someone forgot to write it down. I spent an afternoon waiting on a scheduled day off however when I finally connected the gentleman that came out to evaluate the unit was very professional, nice, and explained thoroughly what needed to be done.

9/18/15 MY AC DRAIN PAN CAME CRASHING DOWN, FULL OF WATER. SEE YELP. The handler was inst crooked back a year ago. Mike the owner knew it. his was of taking care of it was to install a pump to drain the water. well it wasn't draining the water and it was sitting and building up in the handler for 1 year. now the coil is corroded, mold is in the entire unit, in the insul + the coil + all the mechanisms. He refuses to take care of it. He never put in new plenums 10 yr old and are leaking. One of his techs Scott literally told me I had to pay an add $800 more .. seriously !!! It's a normal part to be repl by most companies - NOT PURE AIR !!! They put a sticker on the unit that it passed a duct leak test - BAHAHA try again !!! It's leaking so badly My electric bill has been double that of my 10 year old unit. I even had FPL come and do a duct leak test - GUESS WHAT - FAILED !!! Mike LIED to the FPL biz coord told him he DID REPLACE my coil when HE DID NOT !!! He just conveniently lies to whomever he is talking to at the time to try to make himself look good. I found this company thru Angies List. I changed his review to an "F" he literally went off the deep end threatening to sue me when all I posted were his text msgs to me - THE TRUTH HURTS !! I tried calling 8 different contractors to see if they would fix his mess as he has been out to my house 16 times as of tonight 12/3/14. They all refused as soon as they heard he was the one that inst my unit. I didn't hv to go into any details they wouldn't even talk to me any further, they all told me once I was finished with him and once he fixed his mess I would be more than welcome to call them back. Tonight 12/3/14 Mikes guys show up at my gate unannounced which is typical. No call to sched an apt, no text msgs from the owner and even tho I have told the owner to STOP TEXTTING ME OR I WILL GET A RESTRAINING ORDER ON HIM HE STILL TEXTS ME. One day on 12/18/14 it was from 1104am to 11pm at night are you serious - if I put what he was texting me you would thing he was psychotic also. So tonight they show up at 613pm wanting to fix things for the 16th time and AFTER THE 3RD FAIL w/Collier county. Interesting I never heard anything from the Chief Insp stating that he was allowing them to finish the work bc any communications I am copied on. I was told the complaint is now w/the state licensing board. Well it will go right along with my complaint to the State of FL as well. His guys have been very nice most of them. The owner, Tiffany and Scott tech are not allowed on my property. I can tell you that I have told the owner Mike what it will take to fix the unit, but bc he is so cheap he refuses to fix it properly. Tonight they came and did what they were told, unfortunately, it will not be enough and after they left I checked and sure enough I was right. But I will let the state and county handle it. I am done w/him being disrespectful sending his guys out here at 6pm and they are here until 1030pm at night w/out an appt !! it wont happen again! This has been going on for over 1 year. AS I SAID RUN THE OTHER WAY DO NOT USE PURE AIR .... EVER !!! HE IS THE MOST EXPENSIVE, KEEPS YOUR REBATES, REFUSES TO HONOR WARRANTIES, MAINT AGREEMENTS, TAKES A CRIMINAL AMOUNT OF TIME TO COMPLETE A JOB, WILL LEAVE YOU W/A MESS, THIS JOB LOOKS LIKE A BUTCHER JOB NOW,, STILL NOT COMPLETED OVER 16 MOS LATER, MOLD IN MY UNIT, CORRODED COIL, TEXT MSGS THAT ARE UNPROFESSIONAL, SHOULD I GO ON? I get a call from the Chief Plumbing Inspector on 12/5 who tells me the owner didn't listen to instr which were clearly stipulated. The Chief was no longer going to climb into the attic to perform insp after the 3rd FAIL, he is now to HIRE A PRIVATE LICENSED INSP TO PHYSICALLY INSPECT THE WORK. What does Mike do ?? He makes up his own rules and has his guys take videos of the work they did and the supposed inspector literally accepts these videos and passes this work W/OUT ACTUALLY INSPECTION OF THE WORK ONSITE !! AGAIN MIKE MAKING UP HIS OWN RULES AMAZING! So the latest stunt of Mikes and he now has involved Tiffany one of his office empl.. Obviously she has NO CLUE as to what he is dragging her into !!! Mike is so livid at me for filing a state complaint against his licence that he has now had Tiffany file a FALSE AND VINDICTICE reports against me at Animal Control, Code and the Health Dept. TOO BAD THEY ALL REALIZE THE COMPLAINTS ARE JUST THAT - FALSE AND VINDICTIVE !! 12/15 is tthe 4TH INSP, HE WILL FAIL AGAIN, bc its still NOT FIXED !! 12/17 Mike has a county board hearing if he doesnt pass insp 12/15 passes to state. THIS IS MY RESPONSE TO TIFFANYS FROM THE BBB COMPLAINT THAT I MADE... pure air in naples fl it is amazing to me that they can lie so much .... how can a company hire employees that can be so vendictive toward a customer. i did not install this ac. pure air did, i did not create the disaster of a mess on the jobsite, pure air did. why did it take over 16 mos and 17 visits to fix this entire job ? this has nothing to do with me, but i'm sure you will make it about me somehow. i cant believe that anyone reading this would ever want to hire a company that goes after a customer like you have for no reason !! none of your employees have ever been inside of my home they have been in my garage and in my attic !! for tiffany to file these false complaints to these govt agencies it is a 3rd degree felony in the state of fl. she has never been to my home, ever !!! you cannot put words in peoples mouths. your techs whom are very nice blain and his brother mike have never told you the air quality in my home is of poor quality or i'm tracking food inside of my home. tiffany stop the lies already. your company put special filtration on my ac unit including, dual uv lights. dual purification uv lights, a special 6" filter on the handler that your company charges what over $130 for when cost is only $26 !!!! goes to show what mark up is with pure air !!! also charged me an astronomical amount of $$ for these items to install initially when i come to find out it could have been done for 1/2 with anther company. most companies do not keep the "customers" fpl and rheem rebates they are sent to the customer !!! i have had 4 ac units replaced so far in my life. each time rebates were mailed direct to me !! i have called numerous other companies they send rebates to the customer ... to prevent any issues of fraud! both you tiffany and your boss mike the owner were advised to not show up on my property or i would call the sheriff. you showed up anyway. and sat on the street. your employees had no clue as to why you were here, yet the lame excuse you gave to the chief inspector was 'just in case they needed anything" lol right they have never needed you before. its ok i have proof you were here and more proof for the harassment suit! the unit is so slathered w mastic it looks like a 2 yr old was playing and just slopped buckets of mastic all over. has to be one of the worst jobs i have ever seen. fpl was back out here and they stated again their concern over the poor install although the reading were finally better, still not to what they should be. yes, there is mold inside of the handler and the coil is corroded + the mold !!why should i have to pay to fix it when its that way because of your sloppy workmanship ??of course its not covered under warranty !! why should it be ?? Installed my A/C 9/16/13 quoted me $10400 paid $11500 +150 for an add. 2 yr FREE svc/labor/maint warranty. Mike kept my $1495 FPL rebate and my $1200 Rheem rebate. Never pulled my permit until AFTER the unit was installed telling me don't worry were good with the county. WELL ... only after my urging Oct 2014 the unit insp and FAILED 3 TIMES!! The county passed the inspect w/regret. He was tired of driving out to my home after 18 times of Pure Air Techs coming out to say they were fixing things Oct/Nov 2014. Mold was in the handler back then, the county told Pure Air to correct it in the 1st fail he agreed but it was NEVER done.

This house is very unsanitary and unsafe, just because she is cleared by wildlife officials doesn't make it safe for humans. There are probably 50 full grown birds in the garage that [member name removed] decided a return back to the air handler would make sense, which I told her was illegal to do. One of the birds almost took a chunk out of my installer's arm while coming back a year later to replace the insulation in the bottom of the air handler FOR FREE!! Also the coil is not rusty or leaking and cannot be warrantied, according to my Rheem representative sitting right next to me. We passed inspection on the installation and I am not interested in coming back or sending employees back to this house ever again, for our own safety.

The service man that came was a younger rep that was well suited to service my unit. He explained everything he was doing and why. He was eager to do his job and made me comfortable with his abilitiy to properly service my AC unit. He explained the proper filters to use and why and gave me tips of keeping my AC unit running efficiently. I bought this service because we recently had lots of construction in the house, with sawdust, tile dust, etc. being created while the AC was running. The wife said we must get the ducts cleaned; her cleaning lady agreed. I thought it was unnecessary. Angie's List had a "deal" so we bought it. The company apparently did not put the first service call date in their schedule, so when they didn't show up I called and we had to reschedule; sloppy work in their office. They came today: three guys, one very large and loud vacuum cleaner with a long hose. They removed all ceiling vents and stuck the hose up into the ducts. I checked the collection bag in the vacuum before and after. Result: no significant collection of debris from the ducts. It took them about 90 minutes. Bottom line: Aside from the scheduling snafu, their crew was fine, they did what they were supposed to and were clean and efficient. BUT: I think this kind of service is unnecessary and certainly not worth hundreds of dollars.

The tech. looked at the outside unit, then went up to check the one in the attic. I told him I never went up there because the pull-down stairs were too hard for me to pull down and climb. He came down with a picture of a.c. coils covered with mold. He said it was a picture of my unit. He said the mold would go into the house and make me sick. He wanted to sell me a $685.00 UV unit to take care of the problem, plus a mainttenance contract. I had to leave town for a while. When I got back I asked my handy man (who I have used for years and trust) to go up and take a look. He found no mold; said it was pretty dusty and needed to be vacuumed. You can draw your own conclusions. Maybe the mold just went away. Who knows? Personally, I choose not to deal with this company. (I rated price, responsiveness,and punctuality with a B because all of those things gave me a good first impression of the business. I changed my mind after the service was performed.)

It turned out well. One technician came out in the morning and then a different technician came out in the afternoon. They did a 20 point AC inspection, cleaning, tune up and one pound of refrigerant from the Big Deal that I purchased. They also replaced a condenser for me too. We responded to an Angie's List 'deal' for a A/C check-up for $49. When the 'tech' (we later found out he is really a salesman) showed up he found that our motor was shorted out. Because we had almost no time (we were leaving in a few days for a family function), we had to take his word for it (really no reason to not believe him). His crew showed up around 10:30 for the all day job (still don't know why they start so late). Job was completed around 9:30 that night. We have no problems with the install and all seemed to work well, we left on time. No one ever called or emailed all summer to check up w/us for any reason. Thought a follow up call to see if we were happy would have been common procedure. The contract calls for 6 mo. check ups (Nov. and May). When we had not heard from the company, we called for the Nov. check up (guess we were wrong thinking that they would set the appointment). The 'tech' that sold us the unit showed up and found a problem w/the system. This is where we assume he is a saleman not a tech because he didn't have the tools to check the pressures, etc. He said that a repairman would come the next day between 2 and 5. Guess what? He didn't show up, but we did wait around. Called the office and they said that they were busy and did not have a person scheduled that day. They did set up for the next day and this time he was on time. Repairman found the problem, a defective drip tray that will be replaced under the warranty. All in all the system works great and saved us a ton of money in electric cost over the summer. The only problem we have is the office follow up and customer service. One last gripe, they didn't even offer to refund the $49, after we signed for a $7,500 job.

I appreciated that he was on time and worked expeditiously. He was courteous and respectful. I live in a condo, so I appreciated that he was very patient when it came to going up and downstairs numerous times and kept a smile on his face. At the end, he presented me with 2 options for cost of service. I liked that. I chose the cheaper payment which, will benefit me in the long run anyway! YAY! GREAT JOB!

We purchased an Angie's List special deal from Pure Air for an inspection and cleaning of the A/C system. After examining the old system, the technician identified quite a few issues related to mold and corrosion within the air handling unit. His recommendation was to replace the A/C system entirely. As the evidence of mold and corrosion seemed abundantly clear to us, too, we agreed to follow his recommendation. One day later, they returned and completed the installation of our new Trane A/C system, including installation of a return duct for the master bedroom, which had been quite stuffy during the hot September weather we were experiencing, and cleaned all existing duct work. The job took most of a day to complete, but a lot was done, so other than being hot while the A/C was out of commission, we had no complaints. The only minor issue we had was that one of the technicians either dropped a tool or stepped through the ceiling in our garage, leaving a large hole where the tool (or his foot) went through. This damage was acknowledged promptly by the foreman, who called the office and scheduled a professional repairman to come to the house the next day to repair the hole and restore the garage ceiling. That work was performed efficiently and on schedule, with the result being that there is no visible evidence of where the damage had been. All in all, we had an excellent experience with Pure Air and would use them, again, for any future A/C system needs.
