I used this Company last year and was very pleased then also. I called them late in the day after I found a bathroom septic drain pulled apart under my module home. I texted Dave two pictures of the pipe. He worked very hard finding a worker to come out the same day. Also it had to be a technician who could fit under the home. I knew it would be charged under overtime rates, but was very pleased with their help. The technician Chris introduced himself on arrival. He was very polite, professional and completed the job in a timely manner. He discussed the work performed and ask if there was anything else he could help me with. One again I am very pleased with Pro-Tec Plumbing. Thank you.

Service/repair went perfectly,. Came by on short notice( Called them 330pm, weekday). The plumber arrived within 30 min. He was pleasant, efficient, easy to talk to and most importantly, did a good job.

We had never used this company before and call ed because they were on Angies List. They responded quickly and put off another job to get here immediately and repair the leak. They also replaced a very old part that now allows us to turn off the water right next to the house. We were extremely pleased with their professionalism and work. They cleaned up everything and you would never know we had a problem after they left. Would hire them again in a minute.

Communications from Dave (Service Manager) on the details and terms of the job were vague at best, but were very specific on my end. All of the important communications were conducted in writing (A MUST). Initial installation (on Friday, 12/4/15) went ok, except that the Derrick (Technician) advised me to change the pre-filter every 6 months (Aquasana stated every 3 months) and that I could use Vaseline to lubricate the o-ring on the filter housing when changing the filter (Aquasana states: "NOTE: DO NOT USE PETROLEUM JELLY as lubrication on the system or o-rings."). In addition, after Dave and Derrick left (I was no longer home), I found out (via the paperwork he left in the door) that they had installed the wrong system (they installed the Aquasana EQ-300R - filters 300,000 gallons). I called the office as soon as Pro-Tec was again open for business (Monday, 12/7/15). Lindsay (Office Manager) passed me off to Dave, who said that the system they installed was basically the same system as the one we agreed on (the Aquasana EQ-600 - filters 600,000 gallons and is, accordingly, more expensive). He said that he would get some information and provide it to me. However, when he called back later, he had changed his position, now telling me that the company sent the wrong system. He said that the company was sending the correct system and that they should have it by Friday (12/11/15) to swap out. NOTE: Even if Aquasana sent Pro-Tech the wrong system, Pro-Tech installed it. That caused me great concern regarding Pro-Tech's knowledge of the product and Pro-Tech's lack of quality control. A VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: It should be noted that the original credit card I had given Pro-Tec on Friday, 12/4/15, for the project had been shut-down that day due to a fraudulent charge made to my credit card number. This turned out to be a very fortunate situation, as Pro-Tec had no way to collect payment and I was certainly not going to pay them the agreed-upon price, without the agreed-upon system having been installed. KEEP THAT IN MIND AND DON'T PAY ANYBODY IN FULL UP FRONT!!! When Friday (12/11/15) came, Pro-Tec started trying to reach me by phone and email to set-up a time to meet Dave at my home so he could swap out the systems and collect payment. However, I emailed them back stating that: 1) I was only going to communicate in writing, 2) Dave did not need me there to make the swap (I had appointments and errands to run), 3) Dave could change out the systems at his convenience, 4) Just leave any paperwork in the mailbox, 5) I would inspect upon my return and verify that the job was complete, and 6) If the job was completed properly, I would contact Lindsay for payment information. They never showed and did not swap out the systems as promised. Pro-Tec then continued to contact me by phone and email to try and set up an appointment with me being present. NOTE: My only day-off is Friday, so if I am in town, it is the day I use to set up all my appointments and run errands on. Their insistence to be there was getting extremely frustrating, especially since Pro-Tec was in the wrong! I emailed Lindsay and stated: "Dave does not need me to be there for him to install the correct filtering system, nor for me to know that the correct product is being installed. The reason that we are where we are is because Dave and I agreed on a system and that system was not installed. I will tell you, that every day this situation continues, my opinion of Pro-Tec continues to deteriorate! Pro-Tec is 100% responsible for this situation and you are continually making it worse by harassing me with e-mails and phone calls after I made it very clear where I stand: 1) Install the correct system, 2) I will verify that you have installed the correct system and 3) I will contact you and give you my updated payment information. I will not be physically available until Friday, 12/18/15. If you insist I be there, then you will have to wait until then. I am available to meet up with Dave at 9:00 AM." Lindsay emailed me back and stated: "Mr. Topoleski, Thank you for the return email. Dave will see you Friday 18th at 9:00 am." So, today, at 8:55 AM, Dave showed up with an Aquasana EQ-600R (the R is a replacement system to install once the plumbing has already been installed). Dave removed it from the box and made a big point to show me how the two systems looked exactly alike (he even took pictures), still trying to defend himself from the mistake that was made. He told me that you wouldn't know the difference between the two systems because there was no marking(s) indicating what system it was. I proceeded to show him exactly where the marking was and that it indeed stated EQ-300R. He was silent. I told him that the difference in the systems was that the EQ-300R filters 300,000 gallons of water and that the EQ-600R filters 600,000 gallons of water. I told him that I specifically wanted the EQ-600 due to the increased longevity. I stated that the Aquasana website was discontinuing the EQ-300 and pushing customers to the EQ-600. Dave stated that only contractors could get the EQ-300R and went on to swapping out the systems. I went inside the house to finish my breakfast. During that time, I called Aquasana's customer service and asked if I (a non-contractor) could purchase the EQ-300, EQ-300R, the EQ-600, or the EQ-600R via their website and they stated "yes." When I returned to see how Dave was coming along, he was just finishing up. I did not address his most recent statement, as his statements (as a representative of Pro-Tech) no longer had much credibility to me. I gave him my new credit card number for payment and he left. Pro-Tec charged me the original agreed-upon price (which was originally discounted $60 per Dave's email: "Normaly on bid jobs like this we would not be able to accept coupons and they are saved for service calls but because you are a Angies list customer what i can do is take $60 off of the bill...") without any additional compensation for what they put me through. In conclusion, it took them 2 weeks to make it right, I believe that they were not honest with me on several occasions, their customer service was very poor, they were very un-apologetic, and they did not compensate me for the sub-par experience and handling of the issue. BOTTOM LINE: I WOULD NEVER USE PRO-TECH AGAIN! NOTE: I do love my Aquasana EQ-600R Whole-House Water Filter System!

John was excellent! He was punctual, very professional , friendly & gave us advise on how to & what to look for to avoid unnecessary plumbing problems. He left no trace that he was here by cleaning up after he finished working.

While trying to remove a Flowtite valve to replace the leaking coldwater supply hose and valve to a sink in our condo bathroom, the 16 year old brittle CPVC pipe broke off at a joint inside the wall behind the vanity. Admitting that I was now out of my league, I checked Angies List and called Pro Tec before 8 on a Monday morning. After making sure that it was not an emergency ( I had shut down the main water supply before trying to replace supply hose) dispatcher said they would get a supervisor out to my location as soon as possible as the field crews were already going on their first scheduled jobs. Dave arrived by 10. After inspecting the damage, he advised me on how he wanted to proceed with the repair. I gave the approval and he went to work.. His work at cutting the back of the vanity and opening up the wall was clean, minimally invasive and will be easy to cover over. He even took the time to make sure that residual water in the pipe would not drip inside my wall or on the downstairs neighbor's ceiling before cutting out the fitting that needed to be replaced with the broken pipe. The pipe repair is less cluttered and looks better than the original installation. While the glue for the pipe repair set, Dave replaced the water supply hose and shutoff valve that started all of this. When the glue had set, he tested the system pressure. I am satisfied with the work, price and professional attitude displayed. I will not hesitate to use Pro Tec again, and am happy to recommend them to my neighbors.

They were extremely helpful, thorough and professional in all they did, and cleaned up the job site perfectly when they were finished.

Replacement of the water supply valve went fine. So did the kitchen sink/dishwasher valve replacement. The technicians, Chris and Kerry, were very good.

Pro-tec is the company that my contractor used in our bathroom-laundry room renovations. The first problem with them was that the drain in my shower was not set level (which is a big problem when you are trying to make tile look right). When I called my contractor, he said that I would have to pay for them to come back to fix the un-level drain. (I can say that I don't know if I did get charged for this visit because my contractor refused to give me an accounting). When I went to use my laundry room sink there was a leak around the rim. It took three house calls for them to fix it. They left each time and said that I needed to wait 24 hours for it to dry so I would have to call them back. When they were there fixing the rim leak, I asked them to look at my faucet in the bathroom that had a very slow drip. (In the renovation, we didn't get new faucets so they are 15 years old.) They said that they needed to replace a cartridge and recommended that I replace the other sink faucet's cartridge as the cartridges wear out over time. I told them to order two. I made an appointment for them to come last week and they didn't show up. When I called to find out where they were, I didn't get a good answer. I made another appointment for this week. They came today but with only one cartridge which they replaced. And said that they would only charge me for half of the service call to replace the second cartridge. Why did they think it was okay to charge me anything for the second call when I should NOT have needed a second call. They charged me $96.75 for the replacement cartridge that I can get online from numerous suppliers for $43.00 to $49.00. So they are already making a profit of $50.00 on the part plus a $99.95 service charge. During the renovation, they did a lot of other work in the shower and bathtub before the granite and tile were installed. So far no problems but it concerns me that they have made so many other visible mistakes. I do not know what they charged for the other work because as I said before, my contractor refused to give me an accounting of their charges. I will never use them again.

I think the plumbers name was Derrick but it might have been Dan. He went in and out of my condo at least ten different times during the installation and I feel he was milking the job. Terrible attitude as well huffing and puffing as he went in and out. I would not use this company again. They quote a price and make extra money by taking their time.

i noticed that one of my guest room toilets was leaking and knowing that I was leaving the next day it was important that I get a replacement the same day that I called ProTec. I have to say they made it happen that afternoon and I was most impressed. Very pleased with Brian and his assistant. They actually arrived a bit earlier then the time original given for their arrival. The new toilet replacement was completed in about 45 minutes including a full cleanup. In all I felt I received excellent service and am very pleased with the new replacement toilet. I will use Pro-Tec for my future plumbing needs.

Everything went very well until we noticed that the dishwasher was not lined up square with the counter after they left. When they returned to fix the issue they decided to charge us an extra charge to make the fix. Disappointed after the good job they did except for small adjustments that they chose to lose us as repeat customers. Derrick and Adam had a late start and finished around 6:00 PM after working on another job before ours. They did a great job cutting the drywall and moving the drain to accommodate a deep sink and disposal. They had to drill holes in the cabinet to run the electrical and drain lines for the dishwasher. It was getting and late and they were tired, rightly so. Turns out they didn't drill the correct size hole so ended up running a regular water line to the dishwasher. We didn't notice this until they left and didn't notice the dishwasher angle being off. When Derrick arrived a week later he was very put out. He didn't have to do much to make the dishwasher square but I thought since I paid $400 I would let them take out the screws instead of me and move things, just slightly, to make all things square. Derrick humphed and haawed as we moved the dishwasher, again, just slightly, but it was now correct and wasn't before. Derrick assured me that even though they used a regular water line in addition to the stainless steel line you always see hooked to a dishwasher it would not be a problem. I decided not to say anything about the water line for fear what the result would be. He was not happy to be back making such small adjustments. Another alignment issue was the bottom was out more than the top and he pushed it back with the door open, which I would've gladly done if he mentioned it before he came out. I pushed while everything was closed before he came out and didn't have much success. He also used a washer to help secure the dishwasher in place, which he convinced me was a good idea, but the washer suck out of the rubber molding. It wasn't leaking but the washer idea, even if it was good, could've been smaller. It doesn't look right when the door is open. The screw is now sticking out a little along with the washer. I will replace it myself after all. As a result, he called his boss and they decided that they should charge us for the service call. He disagreed that the changes he made were necessary. I didn't ask to talk to the boss to tell him our story. Disappointed after the good job they did except for small adjustments that they chose to lose us as repeat customers.

It was an unusual request but Pro-Tec did a great job in handling the removal of an attachment to the hot water system. This was a recently purchased condo and the "attachment" was something that the prior owner installed. The point, however, is that Pro-Tec handled the work without issue. Derrick is very professional and quite efficient, yes, I would use Pro-Tec again (actually this is already the second time I have used Pro-Tec).

Technical Derrick called before arriving. Upon arrival Derrick found the whole kitchen main line was clogged. He ran a drill snake all the way with no results. He noticed it was not vented, no studor and no vent thru the roof. He added a studor vent and a bottle of Glug. After about two hours the plugged drain line freed up. The drain has never worked this good since I purchased the home last year. I am very please with the professionalism of Derrick and Pro-Tec Plumbing. Derrick said I received 10% off materials since I used Angie's List to find them.

Everything went smooth and work was completed promptly. Small issue with a tiny leak after work was done, had been attended too immediately. They called back to make sure all was good and that we were satisfied. Will use them again for sure.

The process went extremely well. I had tenants in the unit and, the second day of their rental, the hot water heater stopped working. Of course. Pro-Tec understood my dilemma and was able to squeeze me in and installed a new hot water tank. At Pro-Tec, everyonel professional and responsive, including Derek, the technician.

Pro-tec was recommended to us by our granite company and they were great. They arrived the same day after the installation of the new granite countertops. They installed our new faucet, soap dispenser, and filter system with small goose neck faucet for a water filter system. The two men who came were very efficient and went right to work setting the job up and were gone in about an hour. Would definitely recommend them to anyone!

At a very stressful time in my life kitchen sink, garbage disposal stopped working.I called Pro Tec because of all the favorable reviews on Angie's List. I was not disappointed. From the kindness and efficiency of the phone contact to the professionalism of th plumber, I was delighted. They came when they promised and did the job

Very disappointed. The pipes are fine. Never came back to fix the holes that were placed throughout the house. Said they would be back after inspection. Never came back. There was a problem with the inspection. One item needed to be fixed. They never came back. Inspection still hasn't passed. This was over 2 months ago. They were already paid.

Everything went really well. They were prompt in their service, quick and did a great job. No complaints at all.

I have been meaning to write a review for this company, but am now just getting around to it. Pro-Tech has worked on a few issues with our master bath and today a guest bathroom. Pro-Tec assisted me with some warranty coverage as well as the work itself, and everyone from the Vice President, to the phone representatives, to the technicians have been courteous and helpful. I will most certainly call them again if a need arises.

On time very friendly, clean and very reasonably priced. was very concerned about keeping my house clean and not tracking dirt or making a mess... GREAT JOB!

Just moving into our new house and no water...Discovered the problem was a broken back flow valve so I checked Anglie's List and found Pro Tec Plumbing. They were highly rated so I called and explained my problem. Pro Tec had a plumber (Brian) here in a couple of hours. The plumber was very friendly and efficient. He replaced the back flow valve. While he was here I asked him if he had time to replace the broken handle on the main water valve to the house which he did in just a few minutes. Cost of the back flow valve, water main valve and labor was about $450. I asked if he could look at the hot water tank before he left. The tank was 10 years old so I asked about replacing it. Scheduled it for the next day. Pro Tec office staff called to confirm the appointment, the plumber (Chris) showed up at the appointed time and had the tank swapped out in about an hour or so. Again, very professional and friendly. I'll definitely use them again.
