Conditioned Air Co of Naples LLC

Seven years ago we moved into our brand new home. Each year for the first six years we had expenses totaling between $1,000 and $1,800 in repairs to our air conditioner, including replacing the condenser. It is important to note the air conditioner was maintained annually by a maintenance contract, which included at least two service visits a year. Again in the beginning of year seven we were faced with another $1,200 repair when we decided to seek quotes to replace our existing unit. We contacted Conditioned Air, obtained an assessment and quote. We secured quotes from two other companies as well. Thought Conditioned Air was not the lowest price we were very pleased with the professionalism of our sales rep, Chris Vande Voorde. He was available, courteous, knowledgeable. We did not feel oversold and trusted his recommendation. Our installation team was equally professional. There was minimum down time to our system. In f act, there was only one day without air, but the way the installers managed the installation it was not a problem and there was no discomfort experienced as a result of having no air. The crew completed the job when they said they would (2 days) with no real mess to our living space and no disruption to daily living. We required tweaks to our systems, but when additional tweaking was needed it was determined and carried out in a timely manner. We are very pleased with the sale and service of our Lennox System. We highly recommend Conditioned Air.

I have had them for a long time. I am neutral about them. They come when I am not here, and they just leave an invoice, which is fine. I haven't talked with them or anything.

We had an excellent technician named Chris. He was very thorough and explained what and why he was doing specific procedures.

Since the first day, their office and onsite team have proven to be customer focused and strive to provide the best in service and ensue that all three units are in good working order. My equipment is serviced twice a year, which the maintenance is routinely scheduled, team arrives on time, and work is completed timely yet the work is thorough. A recent routine service call found the drain lines to be blocked. Appreciated the person bring that to my attention, then taking the appropriate steps to open the lines and then coming back later in the day to ensure that this was resolved. Highly professional, knowledgeable, and good at what they do .... appreciate their support.

First time we use them it went very well, so we decided to hire them again. It just went downhill from there. We have another home, so we were away for weeks or months at a time. The servicemen came out several times and never fixed any problems. We found out from the people who check on our home while we're away that our home was sitting at 55 degrees when we weren't even there. Our windows were compeletely frosted up when it was hot outside. We had another company come out and immediately showed us that the unit was not only running consistently, but it had mold on the inside and should have actually been replaced rather than "repaired." We just had an overall bad experience with this company and would not use them again.

Minimum fuss and bother.

Since I clearly know nothing about air conditioning units, the service tech could have easily told me some story about an expensive mechanical repair, but he didn't! I'll gladly pay $99 for someone to crawl around in the attic and have the A/C back on ASAP! Also, the dispatcher told me to check the batteries in the thermostat first before even scheduling a ticket so I didn't get stuck with a $99 fee to change batteries. The dispatcher and the service tech were both very honest!

Very professional. Technicians were well supervised.

The service man was pleasant and understood my problem. They completed the work that needed to be done and I was happy with the finished product. I wish there was not a fee to have them come to my home, but the work they did was nice.

The gentlemen, and that is what they were, were all very professional, neat, courteous, and very knowledgeable . They kept me informed about every step they took. As my unit was completely out and the house was extremely hot the response was quick, the office staff pleasant and though it was a four day ordeal the people at Conditioned Air made it bearable. I highly recommend anyone with an air conditioning problem use Conditioned Air

I made contact with Conditioned Air in early July via web site scheduling. I chatted with a company rep on their web site. she set the appointment date and time. What I wanted was a good preventive maintenance performed on my AC unit. Dave arrived on time, was professional and cleaned and tuned my air handler and outdoor condenser. Dave did a thourough service which was what I wanted. I used to own a large HVAC company in Indiana and laid low while Dave worked, and all I can say is he was good. Dave was a happy employee which tells me the company culture is good. Dave did not push anything on me, answered my questions and gave me everything I paid for. Being new to SW Florida I did my homework in finding Conditioned Air, they came through big time. I signed up for a annual agreement of two services a year, so my equipment runs at peak efficiency and last its full life expectancy. Thanks Conditioned Air! Mark R. Fort Myers, (Gateway)

They were good and comparable and for years we used them for servicing. Their quote was comparable but another provider provided 2 year warranty and included placing brand new line sets.

As always, the serviceman was on time, very polite and professional, and neat and clean. He made no mess, and the job was very well done.

The job went fine overall. He is prompt and clean. He noticed the work that my husband had done, so he didn’t redo it and charge us for it. He pointed out some possible issues for the future, but that weren't needed to be addressed now. They were reliable, professional and reasonably priced.

I can recommend somebody for heating, Conditioned Air. We read about them I think in the paper. I think we heard them in the radio too. They're extremely qualified. They're very honest. They just do excellent work, but very pretty reasonable price. It's a big value but they are actually very highly recommend among their peers too. They got an excellent rating.

The guy came out and fixed our problem for nothing, and then we took a contract with them when we needed them. It was a phenomenal experience; they were knowledgeable and they came on time. They are an excellent company. We switched from another company to them.

Did trouble shooting and replaced the condensor fan in central airconditioning system. Mechanic was Jim, very polite and knowledgeable. I called because the fan outside was not running but the air handler motor was, there was no cool air coming in.

nothing...I knew what the problem was, I told them over the phone, they sent a tech to charge me $95.00 to tell me what i already knew. When time came to do the repairs, They wanted to charge $410.00 for a $56.00 part. I will never use them again.

Superb! Very nice, professional technician. My husband works from home and was on a conference call during the service. The technician was extremely considerate--wore "footies" on his shoes each time he entered the house and closed the doors to the laundry room where he was working so as not to disturb my husband's call. We had been told last year by a different service provider that our system needed to be replaced. Conditioned Air said it was fine, functioning properly, but showing some age (which is what we expected). We will certainly use them again and are now understandably suspicious of the previous service company! Conditioned Air-- highly recommended--great experience!

Very professional staff and great price. They were there when they said they would be. I would definitely use them again.

Our current supplier sold us $400 of Freon and didn't check for a leak but told us we needed a new system for $7k. We were glad to have Conditioned Air come for a second opinion and grateful for their services.

After waiting 3 hours and 15 min. the guy called at 12:15 to say he'd be there in 35 min. I had a Drs. appt. at 1:30 so I canceled. Meanwhile, the very next day my heater/air conditioner completely broke down so I called someone else to install a whole new system. Since Cond. Air did not show up when they said they would they would they lost the $5,000. sale! Following my review Conditioned Air called numerous times to try to reschedule the appt. for another 3 weeks away. Each time I asked them to cancel the contract. Someone else called numerous times to apologize and beg for the 'F' rating to be removed. These calls combined were so numerous they bordered on harassment and only further annoyed me. In the past, I told the apologizer, I had appreciated the technicians service but the dispatchers/schedulers were disorganized, unprofessional and needed further training. Since I had paid for a years contract IN ADVANCE last May they offered to return the full amount of $180. which they eventually did.

I first used this provider last year for routine maintenance. There was a ?deal? on Angie?s List. I was satisfied. This recent visit the technician was prompt, professional, and provided routine maintenance. He found the refrigerant may be a bit low so advised me to call and schedule a service call and they would come out and test the system and add refrigerant that would of course be additional to the service call. Why did I need to pay an additional $79.95 service call when he was already there? Other a/c companies have added refrigerant if needed at the time of the routine maintenance visit. BEFORE YOU READ THIS, let me tell you that 1) I write long reviews that share every part of the experience. I do this not to be a pain to the service provider, but to be completely factual and give other members "all the details." What you do with those details is up to you; and 2) though my experience with Conditioned Air had a good outcome, the process was not so great and the problem was initially misdiagnosed by a cost factor of 8x. Read on... INITIAL SERVICE CALL: Our pool heater wasn't working, so I called this company based on their listing that said they repaired pool heaters. So you can imagine my surprise when the technician (John) arrived and told me they didn't work on too many pool heaters. He diagnosed the problem (or so I thought) as being a bad compressor, and said he would have an estimate for me as soon as his shop called him back with a price for the part. He then went out and sat in his service van, air conditioner running, waiting for the call. After a half-hour or so, I had to leave to run some errands, and I went out to the van and told him so. He said he'd call me on my mobile as soon as he had a price. Three or four hours later I hadn't heard from him, so I called his mobile. He said he was still outside my house, waiting for his office to call him back! (Seriously.) It was obvious the thing wasn't going to be fixed that day, so I told him to have the office call me with a price the next day. To be honest, something just didn't "feel right" about this technician. FIRST FOLLOW-UP: I didn't hear from anyone the next day, so I called. They said they were still trying to get a price, but would call by end of day. They did, told me the parts and repair would cost $899.00, and I said "order the part." I was told that it should be in later in the week, and they would call me Friday to set up the repair appt. SECOND FOLLOW-UP: Friday came and went without a call from them, so I called on Monday. They said they could install the part on Wednesday. I told the scheduler that the first technician said that the company "didn't work on that many pool heaters," and I would like their best pool heater technician to come out (not John.) I figured that any guy who would say that to me and then sit in his van outside my house for four hours wasn't their best tech. The scheduler said she'd send a more experienced tech. REPAIR DAY: About 30 minutes after the scheduled appointment time, I got a call from Mark (the new tech) wanting to confirm my address. Somehow he had the wrong street name, and couldn't find me. Less than an hour later, he and John showed up. And here's the good news/bad news: Mark discovered that it wasn't an $899 compressor that was needed, but a $100 capacitor. (When I heard this I kicked myself, because that is OFTEN the case with air conditioners and pool heaters.) I was happy upon hearing that, but not happy that it had been misdiagnosed by the first tech as a problem costing eight times as much to fix! Needless to say, I was not impressed with the whole experience. I believe this company probably lives up to its otherwise good reputation. But I'm not sure that *I* would use them again based on the entirety of my experience with them. UPDATE: The Service Manager for Conditioned Air called after learning of my experience. He assured me that my experience was not the norm for his company, and generously offered to "make it right" (an offer that I accepted.)
