About us

We are a full service HVAC company with offices in Naples, Ft. Myers and North Venice, Florida. We serve the SW coastal communities from Bradenton to Everglades City and the adjoining inland communities in those counties. Conditioned air has over 300 full time employees, including more than 65 service technicians, and we have over 35,000 units under contract. We were named the Contractor of the Year for 2010 by the ACCA and received the Uncommon Friends Foundation Business Ethics Award in 2011. 2012 marked our 50th anniversary. Most recently in 2014, Conditioned Air was awarded Best Contractor to Work For in the South by the ACHR NEWS magazine.

My experience with Conditioned Air Inc is always good. I ask for Jimmy A because he has been coming for a while.
Description of Work: I have an annual contract with Conditioned Air Inc for maintenance of my air conditioning. They come twice a year or when needed. This is the annual cost. They clean the A/C and replace the filter.

I find them to be very professional and reliable. They had been in service I believe since 1962 and I felt that a company that has been established for as long as that must be quite reputable because companies such as air conditioning service companies come and go especially in Florida. I felt safe contacting them. We have been a client in this company since 2001.
Description of Work: We had a service agreement with Conditioned Air covering our air conditioning system maintenance for a year.

Individual was professional and very thorough regarding his cleaning and servicing of the inside and outside air conditioning units. Although the company tends to be on the high side of the pricing scale, I have been very satisfied with their responsiveness, professional service personell and the quality of service delivered.
Description of Work: Replacement of the inside cooling unit which was under warranty. Also, a follow-up inspection and semi-annual cleaning service, which was part of a annual contract with Conditioned Air.

See above. They are too expensive.
Description of Work: Conditioned air (CA) was called because my a/c unit was not working. An appointment was set up for that day and CA showed up on time. The fan needed to be replaced as the motor was no longer working. This fan had to be ordered and was available in a couple of days. The fan was still under the ten year warranty (parts only) so I paid for labor only ~ $220 for about 45 minute installation, plus $99 for the initial service call of about 45 minutes. That charge was somewhat high, but when they wanted to charge me over $100 to replace the circuit breaker (5 minutes work) I declined that service and bought the $20 circuit breaker and did it myself. They were way overcharging for the circuit breaker since they were already there and it was only a five minute job.

I checked my air unit only to find my filter sucked up into the grill. I had used Conitioned air in the past so I called them and asked if I could purchase a new filter from the company because regular filters were not working with my unit. They were able to send someone out that same day which was wonderful. The service man was named Mike he was knowledgeable and friendly. He was able to build me a unique filter wire just for my unit. He explained how to reuse it in the future and left me 5 additional filters screens. I was most pleased with his manners and pace. Most service people just do the job and run out the door with your money. He took his time and was in no rush which makes a customer feel appreciated. I will definately use the company in the future.
Description of Work: I needed a new unique filter for my upstairs unit. The filter I used was being sucked up into the grill from the air pressure.

The service man showed up at the appointed time. He explained what he was going to be doing and envited me to watch if I wanted to. He did the servicing, replaced the Cartridge filters, checked the compressor and pressures, checked the air-handler in the attick, and, checked the condensor and water overflows to ensure everything in the system was working correctly.
Description of Work: Bi-Annual service of my HVAC which is under a service contract. The $75.00 were for some components that were replaced.

AC was running but not cooling. Compressor was not turning. Called early Sat am and they had a tech on site by 1pm. Quickly found what was wrong and replaced the broken part. The tech was super professional and a credit to the company.

Arrived at the stated time and performed both the routine maintenance and attended to the pool heater issue as well.
Description of Work: Conditioned Air have done my maintenance for the AC unit for some time. I was having some problems with the pool heater which I had them take a look at. The problem was found right away and fixed on the same visit. I would highly recommend this firm and will continue using them into the future.

I use Contitioned Air for the maintenance on both AC units in my home so when I had continuous breakdowns with the main AC they suggested that it was time I replaced it. I didn't listen to them and let them repair the unit again, and again and again until after spending a great deal of money on repairs finally let them give me a price on a new one. I obtained quotes from three AC companies listed as "A" on Angies List. All three came in about the same price so for price I rated Conditioned Air as "A". By far Conditioned Air had the best salesman. He had been with the company for some time and he had previous experience as a repairman so I felt that he knew what he was talking about. He was able to tell me which brands would work best for the space we had to work with and what if any modifications would have to be made. We chose two brands to work with and he gave me three choices for each brand. Overall he made my decision much easier. I told him about one of my rooms being colder than the rest and he told me how he was going to fix that by revising some duct work. The other salesmen did not impess me at all compared to Chris from Conditioned Air and the prices were similar so I went with Conditioned Air. They were able to install my new AC unit within two days, the installation went smoothly and without a hitch. The air conditioned works exactly as they promised. The cold room is now the same temperature as the rest of the rooms and I can't hear the air conditioner at all. Thank you Conditioned Air for doing such a great job from start to finish. .
Description of Work: I contracted Conditioned Air to replace my 12 year old Carrier AC Unit that had been giving me trouble for about a year.

Description of Work: I cannot give enough praise to the folks at Concitioned Air. The presentation and explanation of what they were going to do was outstanding. They were prompt, except fir when it rained, and had the job done in two weeks. We were so pleased we recommended Conditioned Air to all our 33 neighbors on the street. We were the first to have our roof done, Conditioned Air has done two more houses on our street. With the age of our homes, there will be 30 more calls if we have anything to say about it. It was a very pleasant and professional experience.
Description of Work: We had a service tech come out and do an assessment of our unit confirming that we needed a new one. He was fast, polite and thorough. The sales rep was EXCELLENT and saved us 20% over the compeition. The install team was clean, fast, polite and helpful in offering maintenance tips. Came home to a ice skating rink attached to my condenser in my closet and a lake of water in my hot water heater catch. After calling the original installer (from the former owner), and hearing no response I came to Angie's list. I liked the reviews for Conditioned air and totally agree that I would rather spend a little more money to receive a product from someone who truly cares for their employees. I called up, and Tom, was at my home within 4 hrs to give me an estimate. He explained my options and I went with his recommendation. Unfortunately, I had to leave for a week, because their install schedule was booked for over a week! When the Installers finally arrived they went right to work. They were quiet, swift, and clean. They even fixed some items that were overlooked by my inspector when I purchased the home! Thanks Guys!

Conditioned Air was way to high priced. Went with another contractor.
Description of Work: AC wasn't cooling so I called Conditioned Air, they gave me tips to get through the night and it worked. Service guy the next day discovered a freon leak so I decided to replace the entire unit. I got a price from Conditioned Air and two other local contractors. My first issue was the sales guy didn't listen to what I wanted. All I wanted was a similar unit to what I already had, that I was satisfied with that. His first quote consisted of several high efficiency models which were very expensive. His second quote had more in line with what I wanted, but seemed high priced. As it truned out Conditioned air was nearly $2000.00 higher that the other two, for the same Brand, same model, same size, same SEER units. Conditioned Air had included additional work that the others said was not necessary. I ended up going with MR. COOL.

I'd definitely call Conditioned Air again for other HVAC needs.
Description of Work: The fan on the AC's Air Handler stopped working. I read the reviews on Angie's List and decided to call Conditioned Air late Friday night. The person answering the phone told me that I would be charged $99.00 and if I needed a part that I might have to wait until Tuesday because they would be closed Monday due to the impending hurricane (Isaac). Then, she took my number to have the tech call me back. The Tech called soon and had me attempt to reset the Air Handler by turning off the circuit breaker for 20 seconds. That didn't work so I scheduled an appointment for Saturday. I understood that since it was the weekend that I'd be paying more for labor. Anyway, Rich came out at around 9:15 Saturday morning and started working on the unit. He had assessed the problem to be the fan motor and module for the Air Handler located in the garage. The unit is an 8 1/2 year old Trane and Rich called someone to check if it was still under warranty. He told me he had some good and some bad news. The good news is that the parts were still covered by the original factory warranty, but the bad news was that it would cost me about $430.00 in labor. I agreed and he, then, made sure the parts were in the warehouse that would close at 1:00. The parts were available so he made the one hour or so trip to pick them up. He had a difficult time getting the unit out, and then back in, because of the way another company had installed the brackets holding the unit from the ceiling. It took him almost seven hours (from start to finish) to complete the job and cost me $1.00 more than his original estimate. He, also, checked my freon level and pressure before leaving and made sure the unit was blowing cold air. I was quite happy with the whole situation and how he hung in there, took his time, and made sure everything was perfect before putting it back together.

My A/C had stopped working. I contacted Conditioned Air and from the phone call to the tech, Tony, they've were very professional. Being new to the area I didn't know who to contact. and was a little afraid of what to expect. Not only did I get a professional that knew his job, I got someone that had worked on my A/C unit in the past. What a great surprise. He was prompt, professional and quick. I'm thinking about a maintenance contract. Thank you Conditioned Air and Angie's List for your service!
Description of Work: The A/C condensor wasn't turning on. There was no air blowing. Tony found a loose wire and immediately got it to turn on. He then ran some tests and discovered the unit was low on freon and replenished it. He took the time to run tests to make sure that he hadn't missed anything. The problem was fixed.

I found them through Angie’s List, and used Angie’s List as a guide to hire them. They were quick, prompt, and did more than they said they would do! They were also polite and left the place cleaner than when they showed up. We had to leave them alone in the home, which was fine. I have no complaints.

Ihave used Conditioned Air to maintain my A/C system for close to 8 years, so when the old system needed replacing, I naturally called for a free estimate. It turned out to be an emergency situation because my daughter and her children were living in the house at the time and the day the air went out, it got close to 95 degrees inside, which was dangerous.Conditioned Air came to the rescue. They ordered a new system but it took three days to get it delivered, so they put up my daughter and kids at a local hotel (at their expense) until they were able to do the installation. I will be forever grateful they looked out for the welfare of my family.
Description of Work: Conditioned Air install a new Trane A/C when the old system failed.

All staff were professional and efficient. Installer was careful to clean up. Provided a bid that was more reasonable than others I received.

I have been using them for four years. I like the fact that they were always reliable as far as when they say they were coming. They were always respectful and put booties on when they come in to the house. I also like the fact that if I want to I can ask for the same technician each time. So far all the technicians have been good. When I replace my air conditioner I am going to go with them. They were reasonable and fair.
