outstanding! keith called a day before to verify appointment. he arrived on time. keith is very professional, personable and friendly. knows his business. informed me of a couple of other issues that i was not aware of and made repairs accordingly. i would hire him again in a heartbeat. thanks keith for a job well done.

He repaired one of the outside lights & diagnosed the other as beyond repair. Said he would get back to me with an estimate for the outlets. That was in September--and I still haven't heard from him. I got the feeling as we talked that he wasn't very interested in getting my business, maybe because If that was the case he should have just told me that he didn't want to take the job, maybe because he would have to get up in the attic--but I don't know because he never called back. Very disappointed.

Called to inquire about getting an estimate for repairs and/or rewire of an older house. Since it was a larger job, I was given a referral and much appreciated the helpfulness!

I called Barley Electric around 8:30 a.m. and spoke to Keith. I explained my problem and he told me he could be at my house in approximately 30 minutes. He arrived promptly and took care of my problems. Keith is very professional and does excellent work. I WILL use Barley Electric for all of my electrical needs !!

The owner called back when he said he’s going to call back. He came out, did the estimate, emailed me and broke it down for me. When I decided that I will go ahead, he was out in a couple of weeks and did the job in one day. He did a good job, cleaned up, he was personable, easy to work with and I will call him again.

Great. Keith showed up on time when he said he would and he communicated clearly about times & dates. He replaced the 50 Amp GFCI breaker even though he never had one go bad before right out of the box. Every task and project we threw at him he handled professionally and with aplomb. He is a great guy on top being the best electrician I've ever hired. His prices were not the cheapest, but the quality was great and the additional tasks were kept well within our social security fixed income budget.

Problem: Power outage in bedroom/bath (circuit breaker not tripped). Using Angie's List as a reference, we call Barley Electric for an appointment later in the day. Keith Barley,did a bit of circuit testing and inspected the attic wiring, were he found at a loose connection in a junction box, Keith quickly made the repairs, vacuumed up his work area, and surprised us with a 10% Angie's discount. Bottom line: my experience with Barley Electric could not have been better.

I was looking for recommended electricians in my area to do some misc electrical work for my elderly mother. She called Mr. Barley and he came out as promised. He did the work that was needed and was asked to look at a few more things and did so without hesitation. My mother said she was very pleased with Mr. Barley's work and would contact him again if needed.

I called in the morning and he said he would be there at two and he was. Checked house cricuit, showed me where the main circuit breaker was and replaced the bad circuit breaker. I had already purchased the breaker. Took him about 30 mins.

I called Barley Electric a while back to have the electrical circuit in my utility room checked out after the roof was damaged in one of our hurricanes. Water had leaked in and I was afraid that it had damaged the wiring and I wanted a new fluorescent light fixture installed. In addition, I indicated that I was also wanting an underground line run to the road for the installation of an electric gate. My call was returned promptly but when I told the man who called (I can't remember his name) where I lived, he said my place was too far for him to travel. Mind you, I live in the same county as his business. He wasn't interested in my business or the job was too small for him. The Angie's List recommendation was the main reason I called. I wasn't impressed with Barley Electric., Inc.

He was great. When I had him come he also looked up some fans for me that I’d had for a while. We’d had a long electric lead to go into the panels that had not been connected yet and this is what I had told him, and when he came to connect the fans up he couldn’t find the lead. He then found out that somebody who had done some electric on our porch had used that, so he had to go back under the eaves and get another lead in; he must have worked here two hours longer than he expected to. He was very kind about it and he didn’t raise the price but gave it to me at the quoted price. I would use them again in the future if I needed to.

I called this company about 8:20 on June 13, 2011. The gentleman showed up within 15-20 minutes, checked the off/on switch, repaired it, and then since the ceiling fan is controlled by this on/off switcht, he checked the fan to be sure it was not causing the problem. Made sure he did not leave any kind of mess behind. He charges by the hour, and since this did not reuqire the full hour, I asked if he could intall a new light fixture for me in my master bvath. He did so, with no extra charge.

He showed up on time and performed the work in about an hour or so. Showed me what was wrong before he started and then showed me what he'd done to fix it.

The guy who came in was absolutely wonderful. He did everything I wanted him to do, and he also wired my shed for some more dollars. I will use him again in the future.

He was prompt, professional and did great work at a reasonable cost. He showed us both how to hook up the generator and explained everything clearly. We would gladly use his services again.
