Mr Barley arived on time to give us an estimate and he was able to immediately complete the job that morning.

I called and left a message for service. He returned my call within the hour and even came over to fix the problem. He knew exactly what the problem was and had it fixed within minutes. Then asked to check the boxes in the house to make sure they were good as well. He will be my go to electrician from now on!!! Great work!

Overall this was an excelent experience. Mr. Barley arived on time for both the estimate and the day the work was done. He worked quickly but professionally thru the job with the help of his apprentice (his daughter!). Total time to complete the whole job was two hours. The original estimate was for the first three work items above, and we added item 4 (the celling fan) on the day the work was done. The original estimite was $325.00 with a $50.00 add on for the celling fan which I thought was extremely fair because he had to complete remove the fan, install a new junction box and remount the fan. I had never hired an electrician before, and I used his Angie's List reviews as my primary selection criteria. I was not dissappoionted. I recommend Mr Barley and would use him again.

Mr Barley arrived a few minutes early and went right to work trouble shooting the electrical system. He did a great job at an extremely reasonable cost. I actually asked him "if" he charged enough! He replied with a smile, "It's close enough". I have already made arrangements to use him on another project.

The job was trouble-free. Just as when he has done work for me in the past, he showed up on time, was very pleasant to work with, and completed all the repairs we asked him to promptly and professionally. He is good about working on the weekend for us, which is the only time our schedule permits. He has always returned our calls and never cancelled or been late for an appointment. I would use and recommend him again.

I did not shop around for estimates. From the many excellent reviews on Angies List I was confident in Barley Electric being able to complete my project satisfactorily. I called Keith Barley and he gave me a price for an Eaton surge protector plus installation and said he could do it the following Monday morning. At precisely 8 am Keith showed up and got to work. An hour later he was done and the work site cleaned up. He explained what to look for in the surge protector for normal operation and if it got hit. Job done. Satisfied.

Mr. Barley has a selective work process, if he does not want to do the work you specify, he will not return your calls or text inquiries. I was ready to utilize his services for multiple properties managed in Milton and Pensacola, yet when I told him I hired an about-to-be-late-on-his-mortgage-payment electrician's assistance to install a new circuit panel box ( while Keith was vacationing in Mexico over the Holidays ) he would not return my calls. Keith came over to home twice, took pictures and texted he did not want to do the work of fixing someone else's mistake(s). I have never complained about the cost to repair any problem, he has been fair about every job. Yet do not cross him and utilize someone else, it is an affront to his ego. For someone in their 50's I did not think someone as good as him would be such a wanker. Good Luck everyone, he will return your call if its an "easy" job.

Mr. Barley was FANTASTIC. He was prompt when he came for the estimate. He had the estimate prepared the next day. We set date and time for the work to be done and he was here at 0730 just as he said he would be. He had to run the line from my main power box at the front of the house, through the attic, down the outside wall, underground to the building, and then wired the entire building. He did this all in one day. The amazing thing was, my service dog Casey was so interested in his work that to some she was in the way, but Mr. Barley just played w/ her and let her do her thing. It was funny to watch. The next morning he again arrived at 0730 as planned to drive the 8 ft grounding rods for the steel building. When he was wiring the inside of the building he asked me where I wanted the plugs for my equipment. After the installation he explained everything he had done and asked me if I had any questions. He then said the code had changed and he had picked up an outside light for the building to install in order to meet the upcoming code. This was done at no extra charge. Before he started he pulled the permit and upon completion he asked me when I would be available for the electrical inspection. He could have just called it in irregardless of my schedule. This was very considerate of him since my house is gated w/ a dog and it was mandatory for me to be home. When the inspector arrived, it took him about 15 minutes to inspect due to his fascination of how well the job was done and put his stamp of approval on the job. I am new to the Pace area and for me Barley Electric will be the only one I will call when I need work done.

Mr. Barley did the work in two separate visits. He is polite and reasonably priced. I will call him every time I need electrical work or advice. I have used him before. He is the best.

Keith was absolutely outstanding in all respects. Prompt, professional, and accurate in the scope of work to be performed. He minimized the household electrical outage by close coordination with Gulf Power and the local inspector. I was actually amazed that the work was done so quickly. The finished product demonstrates his attention to detail and expertise. There is no doubt that any future electrical work will be handled by Barley Electric!

Very nice gentleman. Had no problem diagnosing the problem and putting in a new breaker box. He kindly checked my smoke detector batteries. I will certainly use him again for any electrical problems. He was very prompt and did a good job.

Keith was great! He's very experienced and very honest. We asked him about some lighting installation, and he recommended we do it ourselves due to the ease of the installation. He was right, we did the work ourselves, and it was very easy! He's very professional.

He called when he said he was going to call, he showed up when he said he was going to show up, he was friendly and explained things to me and took care of my issue in a very cost effective manner. I will use his services again and already plan to for additional work that I would like to do that is just not an emergency.

First, I will commend Mr. Barley for his contacting me in advance to get clarification on what he might need to bring. I appreciated that. He arrived punctually, bringing with him not only the piece that needed replacing, but also a separate rheostat option, allowing me a choice. He replaced the switch plate, making sure the screws lined up properly (also a sign of his professionalism). He then examined the other light fixture which had not worked for a very long time (bulb would initially come on, but would then burn out rapidly or would just flicker). He thought he had the problem corrected, at least according to the tester results, however, before putting on the glass fixtures over the bulb, he tried a light bulb in it, and found it still didn't work properly. He then completely removed the socket, discovered a twisted wire on the underside which couldn't be fixed, and drove to a near-by hardware store to get a new socket, returned, replaced the socket, and everything now works perfectly. I'm delighted. I was impressed with his patience, knowledge, willingness to immediately make a trip to a store to get what was needed rather than putting me off a day or so, and with his courtesy. A very positive experience.

Keith was punctual. He had been waiting for me 5 or 10 minutes when I arrived at the agreed time. He immediately got to work. He estimated the job to be about 3 hours - he was completely finished in 2 hours and 45 minutes. "Completely Finished" means that he also went through the house and traced every circuit down and labeled all the breakers in the panel. He is a friendly fellow; professional, pleasant and conversational without being too "gabby". I would recommend him to anyone.

It went wonderful. He was on vacation when I called him, he didn't even mind talking to me at that time. I was amazed to say the least. Well he took my information, and called me when he got back to town. Quoted me a price, he came right out, replace my plug. He was quick, and friendly. I will use him every time for any electric problems. I trust him, he knows what he is doing, and charged me not one penny over what he quoted me.

I lost electrical power to my master bedroom and two bathrooms. I had a friend check out some of the basic problems that could have caused this instant loss of power to the above mentioned area.. He had his theories, but could not trace the problem to the cause. I checked Angie's list and found Barleys. Keith, the owner and electrician, was able to track down the problem. Having to spend too much time in my hot crawl space attic, he found a short and fixed my problem. I appreciate the time and effort he put in on a very hot day to complete the job. He was prompt getting to my house and very professional. He attached the new fan correctly to the truss whereas my old one had been incorrectly attached to the electric box. He did the job cleanly leaving no debris at all and was pleasant to deal with. I was very pleased with the service as well as his price for the work. I would certainly hire him again.
