Showed up on Tuesday at 11:30 for an appointment that I had calendared for the following day at 10:00. This mattered because there was additional work to have been done that my wife did not know about, and I was out of town until Tuesday night. I hired All American on the strength of an Angie's List A rating. When I made the appointment, I learned that the installation would require cutting into sheetrock beneath one of the breaker panels in our finished and freshly painted garage. I asked if any sheetrock repair work or painting would be needed. I was assured that none would be required. Not so. The unsightly installation left a 5" X 1" gap beneath the surge protector, which was installed sideways (While this may not affect the functioning of the protector, it looks slapdash). The cut surrounding the unit was also carelessly done leaving a tear in the sheetrock paper. When I called the owner for an explanation he asked, "What did you expect." Told that I expected to have been given the truth when I asked if there would be any collateral damage, he responded "...you must have misunderstood." He offered to "repair" the damage by patching over it with wood molding. Based on the slipshod quality of the original work, I decided to ask our handyman to mud over and paint the gap. REPLY TO ALL AMERICAN ELECTRICAL CO, INC'S RESPONSE: I think the before and after photos I am providing with this response make clear why I didn't want these people back in our home. SEPTEMBER 1, 2015 UPDATE: During the past year we have experienced many electrical storms creating countless surges and complete losses of power, and the whole-house surge protector installed by All American Electrical Co has never once worked. I have changed our original ratings accordingly. SEPTEMBER 30, 2015 UPDATE: We consulted an independent licensed electrician and learned that the equipment installed by All American was the wrong equipment installed in the wrong place. Specifically, the needlessly expensive Intermatic IG device should have been installed on the exterior service panel in order to do its job properly. Instead, it was installed side-ways on one of three panels inside our garage (see accompanying before and after photos), with the result that only the circuits within that panel are protected (assuming it works, for which there is no evidence to date). All of the circuits in the other two panels are unprotected. Conclusion: Not only was the work by All American done badly, the job of whole-house protection we paid for was not done at all. We will hire someone M&M Electric to do the job properly and ask our handyman to repair the damage that All American did to our garage. I have changed our modified ratings to an "F" for professionalism.

I called All American Electrical Co based on there Angie's List ratings and they did not disappoint. Mike came out promptly and got right to work and did all the work as promised. He was professional and detailed, I appreciate someone who takes pride in their work and he does! The flood lights work great and would highly recommend him for all electrical work needed in your home.
