The project was complete on time and on budget. They workers were puntual, organized, and efficient.

We are very happy with the finished product. The quality of the work and attention to detail was excellent. The whole team was great to work with. Even during the demolition process they left the house clean every day. They were responsive to all of our requests. They kept us informed any time something came up and helped talk us through the pros and cons of decisions about different aspects of the project. We would highly recommend them and would certainly use them again in the future.

I sent an email with a request to quote the work, and when I received no response, I sent another email several weeks later. I received no response. More weeks have passed. The job would easily cost more than $20,000. It is unfortunate that I have to give an F to a company that probably does good work, but simply has a problem responding to Angie's List inquiries. I would have accepted a simple reply saying that they do not do my kind of work or they were too busy at the time.

We provided all of the materials and they did a great job with the installation of the vanity, the tiles, the fixtures, the plumbing, the patching and the painting. Very happy with the results.

They don't provide detailed price list. Yesterday they give me a quote late so I already hired someone to fix my kitchen. When I ask then the price without cabinet, they are being really mean to me and stop business. It's ok, but if you don't want to do business with me, please don't waste my time~ Good luck!

We interviewed 5 contractors for this job. After being displaced from our home for months due to mold and water damage, we needed someone to get the job done right and on time. Jose and Joel Ramos exceeded our expectations. The team they brought out to our house was fantastic. Extremely polite and courteous. Reliable and punctual. Clean and professional. Any questions I had throughout the project were answered immediately and with great insight. They were always willing to meet me at the house and discuss new ideas. A few problems came up during the project and the solutions were addressed willingly and happily by the entire team. The end result? Our house looks gorgeous. Truly. I felt so comfortable with Jose and Joel. I will 100% call them in the future to do work on our home. P.S. When he came to get the final payment, Jose brought us a celebratory bottle of wine. Not many contractors go that extra step to make you feel special when they have a million other projects to do. Incredible people.

I placed a call to this contractor and he returned my call promptly. We discussed the job that needed to be done and he advised that he was no longer handling that type of job. I appreciated his honesty and he did not waste my time. Otherwise, he was very professional and courteous.

Crew was polite, on-time and respectful. Work done was as agreed and well done. Very happy with results and service.

Unique Construction was an absolute pleasure to work with. They were extremely professional, were always on time and throughout the construction would come out to discuss the progress, check on the workers, and the cleanliness of the house while the demolition was going on. We met with various contractors and knew right away that we felt comfortable with Joel Ramos and his group. They were available at odd hours of the night and weekends when we were frantically looking for tile, backsplash and grout to provide their honest opinions. They helped us stay within a certain budget and anytime we'd fall in love with something that might have pushed us over that budget, they'd let us know. They were very honest and while they did provide us with suggestions, if we had something else in mind, they would find a way to locate it for us and there were no hidden agendas. They were extremely organized and provided a chronological order for payments to be due and would come to pick up their checks on the dates initially planned. It was good to know when payments were due prior to the day. Before the construction started, Joel advised us that the entire project would take 4-6 weeks to complete and he was right; the whole project was done in exactly 6 weeks, to the day. Upon completion of the project, we were told to inspect the house and if we were unhappy with anything, we were told to call them back and they would fix whatever it was at no additional charge. Prior to the 'closing', we did identify a thing or two that we weren't totally satisfied with and within 2-3 days, they were totally fixed and we have had no additional complaints. I would hire this group again and I would (and have already) recommended them to others. In this day and age, it is so important to find and maintain a reliable group like this who can make what you envisionin your home a reality. They were a one stop shop and anytime we'd need to remodel or update anything in either home, we'll definitely be reaching back out to them.

This was my first comprehensive renovation and living 900 miles from the job was scary. This company was one of 7 that I interviewed that day. I had all the typical reservations of a first-time buyer. They were scheduled first and at the end of my day of interviews they remained in first place. Impressively punctual and professional right away. A detailed and well-written proposal emailed to me before 5pm - the SAME day. Could this be real? I asked myself. Well, the short answer is YES - they're real! Very much so. This was an 8-month project - a complete renovation of my retirement condominium home in Aventura. All I can say is that it's rare to find a company this well run. The owner Jose and his son Joel were warm and welcoming right from the start. I felt like family right from the start and honestly, they have incredible people skills. I so appreciate how they went out of their way to put me at ease, again with living so far away and able to get there only once a month. They offered helpful suggestions regarding design ideas, were on-time for appointments and inspections and consulted with me each step along the way. When there were questions or a potential change, they were cordial and had useful ways to work around them. For example, one of their team members met me at the warehouse and patiently assisted me with understanding the details and choices for molding, plumbing fixtures and other items necessary. I feel that I paid a fair and reasonable price for the job. Unique exceeded my expectations of quality for the job done. Since I live in Silver Spring, Maryland - relatively far away from the job, I had many questions and concerns. They were professionally responsive to my phone calls, questions, and comments in a timely manner. I highly recommend Unique Construction. I'm very satisfied with the final product and will use them again. My home which was circa 1971 has been updated to 2016 and I feel lucky and smart that I trusted my heart to choose them to do the job. They were the consummate professionals - polite, courteous, and simply the BEST - Unique!

We were very impressed from the initial contact with Unique Construction through the final walkthrough. All personnel were very punctual, respectful, hard working and cleaned up every day throughout the process. The Project Manager stopped by every day to keep us informed on the progress and to make sure we were satisfied. We are very happy with how beautiful the bathroom looks and the quality of work done. We will be using this company for our upcoming projects in the near future. Our previous general contractor followed the typical story you hear about in horror stories: takes your money and runs without finishing the agreed upon work. As a result, I was left searching for contractors who would help finish my project. After contacting Unique Construction, Inc., I immediately received a callback from Joel who was very patient and willing to listen to my dilemma. After several conversations, Joel was able to determine that the work left to be done for my project was easier to be completed by someone in a smaller capacity (aka - handyman or subcontractor) and that it would save me a lot more money in the long run. This honesty from Joel, right off the bat, was very welcoming. Most companies out there are willing to lie just to make a quick buck from you and find ways to scam, but Joel was very honest and even provided me some resources and next steps I could use to get my project completed. On sheer responsiveness and complete professionalism, I can definitely recommend Unique Construction to get the preliminary assessment performed for your projects.

After more than 5 weeks of chasing Unique - calling the staff - who then finally told me the 'owner' was the block and I had to 'speak to him' about my estimate - we realized they simply did not want the job. The owner never returned multiple emails or phone calls. Over the estimate period we provided architectural drawings to estimate along with full materials specs' and 3d renderings of the final project. In all we made over 22 phone calls attempting to receive the estimate - being consistently told it was just a couple days away. In the end result we stopped reaching out. We of course maintained all phone records including texts, emails etc. as we manage a file relating to our remodel experience. We are now currently permitted with architectural plans and are using a different contractor for work that will cost over 100k. We would have wished Unique had lived up to it's reputation on line but for us - they didn't come close. One sample email is copied below - others contained drawings so cannot be pasted here. Unfortunate as they seemed so professional on first visits. We are still curious as to why they did not take the job as it was a high end renovation. Sept 29 2015 Thomas, I'm working on the estimate this week. I'll have a number for you at the end of this week. Like I said before this will be a preliminary estimate based on sketches but pending to final approved drawings from an architect. I'm getting proposals from my subs ( electrical, plumbing and mechanical). They have your sketches ( including the last one) and promise me a quote by the end of this week. From start to finish, Unique Construction was professional, cordial, punctual, and overall fantastic. The project was started right away, and it was finished on time. I was consulted any time there was a question or potential change, and they worked with me and my wife to ensure all the details were correct. I will gladly use Unique Construction again if I need something done down the road.

The closet was the most damaged, hole in ceiling, water damage on drywall, flooring/baseboards needed to be replaced and painted. Once the repair was done it looked great. Very happy with the final result. The ceiling in the kitchen had a fairly large stain from a leak there as well. The stain was painted and blended really well with the ceiling. I thought the touch up on the stained portion of the ceiling would look really white compared to the rest of the ceiling but it blended really well. Jose Ramos was very punctual to come provide an estimate. He was also honest about the cost of the repair as I got other estimates that were ridiculous. Subcontractors did the work and were on time both days and completed the work in a timely manner. There was a language barrier as the two works did not speak english but they did exactly what was required of them.

I would HIGHLY recommend this company! To start the process, they stopped by within 24 hours of our first phone call to look at the front door that needed replacing. After spending considerable time with me, answering all my questions, they contacted me within a 48 hour period to let me know what the cost would be (extremely reasonable, in my opinion) and stated they were ready to pick a date to install it. They discussed very specifically everything I would need to purchase in advance and even suggested that they would pick up all the materials at Home Depot and bring them to my house the morning the project was to be completed. They even were willing to complete the project on the day I requested! They finished the initial process in less than a day and returned two days later to touch up the paint in certain areas and check to be sure everything was done satisfactorily. In fact, they are returning next Monday to redo some caulking that didn't look quite right - they wanted to be sure I was satisfied with the entire process! This company was a pleasure to deal with from beginning to end and is extremely professional in all that they do! I would GLADLY hire them again to do a project for me! A class act for sure!

I reached out to them on 11th June in order to receive a quote and have not heard from them since. Would not hire or work with anyone who cannot at the very least reply to their enquiries.

The house looks great. They really did a great job. My house looks refreshed. So clean and crisp. I have absolutely no complaints about Unique Construction. Management was extremely professional and timely with their handling of the project. I am so glad I found this company. I am excited for future projects I have now that I found a reliable contractor.

The service was great, the workers were always there on time and it was great to communicate with them if he had any questions about what they were doing. We really loved how the work came out. We would definitely recommend their services. Now they are also going to be working at my office, we have been trying to do this job for months now and they found a way to do it for us.
