Description of Work: I got a special Angie's List deal and thought I would knock down a few honey-do items that hadn't been done. The guys the company sent were very nice and tried very hard to do what I asked but didn't speak English so trying to convey what needed to be done was left to a translation app on our phones. It was not very satisfying and I ended up with extra holes in my walls and a string of lights hung in a different pattern than I wanted. Since there were 2 guys working for me for what really was peanuts, I didn't push for perfection and tipped well. |

Description of Work: While I did not use their service, they were extremely accomodating with all my changes and rescheduling. They were definitely willing to work with me. But in the end, I could not get it scheduled.

Description of Work: I bought the handyman package back in April, because it looked like a good deal -- 6 hours of work and an Angie's List membership. At the time, I was overwhelmed with the repairs facing me in a 1960s-era condo which had been poorly maintained in recent years. I also thought it would be a good way to establish a relationship with a handyman service, which I am sure I'll be needing. Reef was incredibly responsive; the handyman who showed up was great. So why the "B" grade (go for B+)in some categories? 1) Six hours is a long time. I ended up using maybe four; 2) the handyman didn't speak English, not a problem in understanding and doing the job but I would have like some direction or tips in where I could go to get window and jalousie replacements to finish the job. Yes, I could have called headquarters, but headquarters wasn't boots on the ground; 3) I wasn't sure beforehand what jobs the service could handle, how long they might take and what materials I needed to have on hand. That would have required a preliminary visit, which wasn't part of the deal. We did have some discussions (sending photos by email) about saving a kitchen cabinet that had fallen apart, but I wasn't convinced it was worth saving and ripped it ($35) out rather than attempt a repair. | |In the end, it was a wonderful luxury to have a handyman at my disposal doing all sorts of things -- like replacing a toilet water hose a pricey plumber had said would require shutting off the building's water (I won't be using THAT service again), constructing a gizmo to make folding doors work, scrubbing lots of deposit off the bathtub and using up a big can of WD-40 (which I had on hand) and his skills on the balcony jalousies and windows in the apartment, opening a stuck drawer (but not fixing it), freeing hifi equipment from a teak bookshelf. | |I suppose I am less than satisfied with the package rather than the service itself. That may change if I get value out of Angie's List and do develop a relationship with Reef, where I'm told I get a sort of family-rate from now on. But if I could have established what could be done in six hours, I would have felt I had a better deal.

Description of Work: Pressure cleaned my exterior wall, brick driveway, walkway and part of the pool area. The two men did a very good job. Every area they cleaned looks great! |

Description of Work: I needed my townhouse pressure cleaned, including the roof. My roof has glazed ceramic tile and a steep pitch. Two other pressure cleaning companies (that advertised roof cleaning) refused the job because of the glazed tile and steep pitch. Reef Tropical not only did the job that two other companies refused, but they did an excellent job, and at a very reasonable price. The workers arrived promptly. They were polite and worked efficiently. All communication with the main office, before and during the job, was answered quickly. I have no complaints with this company.
