Reef Tropical had a deal running on Angie's List for a roof pressure cleaning special, but unfortunately, I responded too late to take advantage of the deal. Regardless, Victor was able to work out a fair price considering the size of the roof and the amount of dirt and algae that had collected over the years. He was very responsive and sent me an invoice via e-mail the next day so I would know the cost and date and time that the workers would arrive to clean my roof. I was at work when the workers arrived, but Victor sent me a text to inform me of their arrival, which was right when he said it would be.The job took longer than was estimated, but I will admit it was pretty dirty and is a pretty large roof. However, it was completed to my satisfaction, and my roof looks 100x better than it did before. I would definitely use Reef Tropical again in the future.

Painter was meticulous and did an excellent job. No complaints.

Two men arrived at 8:45.. They were a handyman and an assistant. English was a problem. I speak little Spanish so we had to get owner of tropical on phone to translate. They began by putting red paint on front door. They painted the hinges and the door. One guy did do caulking in showers and he did trim in two doors and painted two bedroom doors. They used a fan to dry red paint. I saw the guy put two coats on. His boss said there were 3, but his boss never came by or saw the situation. At 12:30, the owner told me by phone that they were done and had applied 3 coats of red paint to door. If I wanted them to come back another day, I could pay them the Angie's list special and they would finish the job. I was beside myself. My door was awful, pink and dark red streaks and bubbles. They never painted the other side and red paint even got on other side of white door, no hanging mirrors and not all the doors in the bedrooms got painted. So I guess I hired a the handyman and his assistant for 4 hours which would equal an 8 hour day. . .. My husband ended up replacing all hinges and sanding and reprinting the door. I think from now on, I will hire a painter to paint . They did do a good job on the calk and they cleaned up their mess, but I wish I would have known ahead of time that my door could not be painted in this amount of time and that they did not clean or sand the door prior to paint. I felt it was a false advertisement and they did not do what they were supposed to do. I will never hire anyone from Angie's List again. It was a horrible experience.

Do not pay for hours of work! They just drag out the job- three hours to install a shelf! I am dropping Angie's List (I don't remember if it is an annual or monthly membership, though) since most of the services I see listed work in this manner. I also noticed that in the little book they sent out they had a company under review in one page and then offered in another! One and only time I use this!

The deal was to replace 40 feet of facia board for $299. Victor, the contact person, asked for pictures of the wood to be replaced, which I sent him. We made an appointment for the work to be done. The first appointment was cancelled. Another was made. After waiting a month for the work to be done, the "team" finally showed up. The team consisted of a man and a woman neither of which spoke English, so communication was impossible. However, I will say the contact person, Victor was responsive throughout the process. Once the workers arrived it was apparent they had an issue with the job. A picture was sent by them to Victor at that time. Victor called me and said the job was too much for him to handle and to call a roofer. When I asked him why he didn't tell me this after I sent him pictures, he said the ones his team sent him were closer. (which was nonsense) In any event, I had an uneasy feeling from the moment his team arrived. It was obvious from the vehicle they arrived in they did not work directly for Victor's company. Their van had the name of a painting company on it. As I own multiple properties, I was looking for a company that could handle these types of situations easily and efficiently. Can't recommend Tropical Cleaning and Services.

This was a special "painters for a day" deal. The person setting up the appointment was very courteous and prompt. The work was quite sloppy. The paint application was patchy. There was paint splatter and stains on the floor. One of our mats also had a paint stain. The work was slower than other painters we have hired in the past. To add to the pain the painters drove their car onto our front yard lawn...also washed the paint brushes on the lawn rather than on the side.

The weather did not cooperate so the first pass left some stones and gravel quite loose. The owner called to follow up and when he was made aware of the situation, he actually came back himself and touched up the work personally. Excellent service

They were punctual, well equipped and did a very good job, and cleaned up when they were done.

The roof looked clean, but the issue is scheduling and the way the crew left the house. Crew came at an unscheduled time (homeowner never received notice of appointment). Also, the crew never re-connected the sprinkler hoses that were left dismantled with garden materials scattered all over the ground. They also left a gate wide open, a security issue.

That service was awesome because he did not know how horrible it was. They did a really good job. Their professionalism was very good. We have like a side walk and we just asked them if they could do a little bit extra and we gave them like $65 to do a little bit extra on our side walk. They did not have a problem doing that at all. They came on time and they did what they had to do when they said they were going to do it.

The service provider said there would be an extra cost but did not provide an estimate of this extra cost, I don't feel comfortable going ahead with this deal anymore.

It was really well, they were here for really long time and they did a really good job and they were efficient. They stayed long to re do the wall that I asked them to do to, it was kind dripping on the wall. They were on Angie's list.

Two young men showed up on time and did a great job. Steady workers who were polite and professional. Looking forward to working with them again.

The work was excellent and Victor (the owner) was very professional. Would highly recommend.

On the day of the scheduled service, the painter got lost on the way to my home and then never showed up. The owner of the company stayed in contact with me throughout the morning (for over two hours) and then finally sent someone else in the afternoon. The painters came with a supervisor who helped me work out the exact placement and measurement of the stripes. He left the painters to do their thing which turned out EXACTLY as I had hoped it would. He even came back after a few hours to see how they were doing. They did a fantastic job and I couldn't be happier, and they stayed until well into the night (around 7:30) until they were done. It's refreshing to find a company who stands by their commitment. They didn't leave me to deal with whatever happened to the painter who got lost in the morning. They stood by their promise to have it done that day and they did it. I would HIGHLY recommend them!

I got in contact with the company through the "Deal" feature which was for Pressure cleaning of $99.00 for a certain footage (I can't remember the footage). I was contacted right away by the company and they kept me in the radar until I schedule the service (which is good). They came in 1.30 minutes late, but I was home all day so its not a problem. The area to be cleaned is a small cemented patio which is comprised of a few feet wide (5-7 feet) around a pool area and a long narrow corridor connecting the pool area to the house entrace. I also wanted some additional areas if the footage in the deal covered them: a small square area with Mexican tiles which I showed them. Then I told them I was going to have more areas if the footage in the deal covered them. They proceeded to measure the pool area and the corridor, and I thought the square area with the Mexican tiles was being measuread as well. They told me thet $99.00 did not cover all and put me on the phone with their supervisor who told me that there was an additional $15.00 to cover all. Once they finished and all the equipament was in the car already I noticed that the squared area was not cleaned. They told me that it was not included in the measurement. Well, my mistake was not to measure myself the whole area before sigining in for the deal. In the past 3 years I have been hiring someone else who cleans the area around the pool, the 2 corridors around the house, the entrance of the house and the sidewalk for $130.00, so what this company offered was not a "Deal".

VICTOR CAME ONTIME AND ON SCHEDULE GAVE US A REASONABLE PRICE FOR THE REPAIRS AND SET UP A TIME FRAME. WE WERE PLEASED THAT THEY DID NOT TRY TO DO THE WORK WHEN IT WAS THREATENING RAIN. 3 PREP MEN/PAINTERS DID THE WHOLE JOB. THEY WERE CAREFUL AND ACCOMMODATING. CARPENTERS DID REPAIRS WHILE WE WERE NOT HOME AND THEY WERE FINE REPAIRS. THE PREP WAS VERY THOROUGH. THE PAINT JOB WAS DONE NEATLY AND PROFESSIONALLY. A VERY SATISFACTORY EXPERIENCE. OUR HOUSE LOOKS GREAT.

It went well! This was the first time I had used them, and I would use them again in the future as well as recommend them to others.

We purchased an Angie's List Deal that included 1 painter for 8 hours of work at a cost of $199. But before purchasing the deal, I called and spoke to Victor about the additional charges that may be associated with scaffolding because 1 room had a 20' ceiling. He requested pictures of the room to see if scaffolding was necessary. To my surprise the scaffolding wasn't necessary which saved me over $100 (if I recall correctly). Victor also said that he could add another painter for 8 hours for an additional $100 and $30 for the 20' ladder (instead of the scaffolding). So 2 painters for a day is great! My wife loves to paint, but there was no way we could have painted the room with 20' ceiling safely. The painters not only completed that front room with the 20' ceiling, but also the dining room, the hallway up the stairs, and the entire upstairs hallway. Not only were they fast, but they also did a very good job. There is not a single thing we can complain about. All that quality work for that price is outstanding. We once got a quote for the same job last year for $1200. Do keep in mind that you will have to provide the paint, any necessary caulking, and painter's tape. Caulking and painter's tape is very inexpensive, and choosing and buying the paint you want is actually the fun part of painting. I would definitely hire them again and highly recommend them to others.

I had a recent bad experience with another painter on Angie's list. Reef Tropical was extremely professional. They called and scheduled soon after I bough the deal on Angie's List. The painter was on time, clean and professional. He did a great job. I was especially impressed with his ability to pain the high ceiling staircase wall. I have scheduled time for them to come back and finish what couldn't be completed in the day. I would recommend them again!

arrived on time worked diligently and methodically which i felt was best as the job was done completely and superbly for which he gave a little extra time to finish i was grateful try to measure what you want done in what amount of time these are professionals they can paint more square feet if you wish but more is not always better

I found Victor, the owner, and the two painters he sent to me to be very responsive and honest. They got to my home right on time and began working right away. They did a great job. I would recommend them and hire them again.

Owner not professional in his manner. They got paint on my screens, plants, concrete porch, light fixtures and fence They made me pay for chaulk and tape which was not mentioned. I still have blue tape around a flood light, I pulled off the rest. Left a ladder in my yard for over 4 days when they said it would be picked up the following day. Broke a patio stone and a ceramic pot. The wood was sprayed in certain areas doens't look finished, especially in the front. They had one good painter named Alex. He was professional and did a great job but he only worked the last day.

Everything was satisfactory but the sealing of the driveway was a disaster. it ended up all white and he tried to strip it off and made a huge mess that was not cleaned up and it still was not right after 2 tries. He told me to find someone else to do it and took the total cost of the driveway off the bill. i found someone else who finished the stripping and sealing fine the first try.

Purchased a "Deal" directly from them. Called directly due to tight scheduling needs. If you live in Broward you should know they are in south Dade. Brought this to their attention and assured it was ok. Not really. Deal was 2 painters for 8 hours each. Right from the initial call this guy was pushing for add'l time. Had 2 bedrooms & 2 baths. They started around 10:30 (late due to traffic-told me the clock started when they pulled into my driveway which was around 10) took lunch @12:30. Started cleanup at 4:30. They did an AWFUL job. Wall paint on the new popcorn ceilings, bathroom tile, trim, floor, didn't use painters tape effectively (asked me if I had any). They didn't wipe anything down before or after (dust?....who paints over dust?). Would not recommend or ever use them again.
