Moving APT - Long Distance Movers

Moving APT were do I begin. Having the lovely experience moving several times I have to say Moving APT were simply the best movers we've encountered. The staff and I mean the whole moving staff were outrageous. They were interactive, respectful, courteous, professional and worked there butts off. We couldn't ask for a better smoother move. Knowing I have to move again in a year I would no doubt call them to move me again. If your looking for a mover, your in the right place.....look no further. There really Isn't enough I can say about this company other than they are the best. Thank you Ben. You made a hard challenge an easy task. Thank you.

Moving is usually stressful experience, but Ben and his crew were wonderful. The cost was less than the estimate. They were careful and respectful with my possessions and my move was flawless! I highly recommend Ben and Moving APT.

I have used Moving APT three times now, and the move went perfectly each time. Ben and the rest of the team packed and moved us efficiently and carefully. I don't want to move again anytime soon, but if I do, I will use Moving APT.

Just moved this past weekend and Moving APT was great! They were very hard working and did an amazing job. They should be highly commended on their work ethic. They were also very nice guys. Next time we move, we are calling them! Thanks again for an efficient and excellent move!

THIS IS A REVIEW ABOUT THE MOVING COMPANY/COMPANIES MOVING APT/MAYZLIN RELOCATION LLC WHO DID OUR MOVE FROM AR TO NY. IN SIMPLE ADJECTIVES - DISASTROUS, HORRIBLE, UNPROFESSIONAL. RECOMMENDATION - ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE THEM. GO WITH ANOTHER COMPANY. 1) Moving APT is not a "moving" company. They are merely BROKERS. They will take the job and give it to some other moving company - Mayzlin Relocation LLC - in our case 2) Once you inquire for a quote, Moving APT will call you relentlessly to get the job but once you sign with them and make the initial deposit they literally disappear and are not easy to get hold of. There will be no specific person there in charge of/managing/overseeing the move 3) They will misguide you and hide information from you unless you make a specific inquiry about it. And to correct it they will charge you more money 4) The "moving team" kept delaying the phone call with me till the last minute and when I complained I got a not very pleasant person at the other end. As part of the moving process we were required to obtain multiple quotes and then have one approved by the new employer. In the end we went with Moving APT - most important reasons being they promised me a narrow delivery window and did a price match/beat. That’s where all the good news ends with this company and this move. Even before the move began we had regrets and wished we would have gone with another moving company - North American Van Lines (I had an estimate from them but MOVING APT said they can do a better/shorter delivery window and were willing to price match). Robert P from Moving APT would call me relentlessly multiple times a day to secure the contract. I clearly asked if Moving APT had a team/truck locally as I had never seen one before while living there for almost 4 years. In his worlds “ya we have a team down there. We’re a national moving company”. Usually any professional moving company with even a little bit of experience would do a proper inventory survey to determine the specifics and plan the move. But with Moving APT I had to specifically ask for an inventory survey over facetime. We went room by room and their agent, Robert P, took notes and counted the number of tems. This was a gross miscalculation which had terrible consequences on the move. Once the contract was signed and we paid the initial deposit it was increasingly difficult to get hold of someone there.. there was no one specific in charge of the move/job and I would have to leave a message and then some other person from the company would call me back. According to them their "moving team" would contact me a few days before to go over everything. This moving team kept delaying the call and we were livid because we needed important information about payment and had more questions about the move. I complained in an email and then got a phone call from Alana. She said she was part of the "moving team" and was confrontational over the phone. When I tried to confirm the details about the move (as I had discussed with Robert P) she told me a completely different story. That they are not the movers but are brokers and have given the job to another moving company and that their delivery window is 3-21 days and that I cannot contact the actual movers to even REQUEST a specific day to start packing. Her reply was "so what would you like to do? I can cancel this discount and that discount and it will cost you xxx more money... you signed the contract etc etc etc.." THIS IS HOW THEY TREAT A CUSTOMER! By this time they had already received the initial deposit so I knew instantly that they could care less. This was on the Friday before the move and she said that she will call me on Monday with some options. Her manager called me on Monday and we went over everything and the manager told me that if we want a narrow delivery window then we will owe extra money. We ended up paying the extra money $ 450 for expedited delivery because we have a newborn and I am an essential worker and had to start work soon in NY. 5) Mayzlin relocation team arrived ‪at 2 pm‬ on moving day and they had no clue that I wanted full value protection. Moving APT had not informed them but they had told me that the movers will offer it to me directly 6) Moving APT underestimated the size of our move and when Mayzlin Relocation team arrived to pack they told me it would cost me more money - over $900. Not only that, the estimate for full value protection from Moving APT was completely wrong and it cost me significantly more. 7) Because Moving APT underestimated the size of our move Mayzlin relocation arrived with a smaller truck and they had to rent a storage unit to store our belongings Mayzlin Relocation's team consisted of 3 men. It took them 2 days to pack and load the truck and leave. I walked around the house and gave them specific instructions multiple times on how to pack some of the items (we had the original box and special covers for them) and which ones to leave behind (we had planned to donate some of the items to a local charity). They did not listen/remember and packed nearly everything which was not supposed to be packed. They also left many items and we were told they could not fit anymore items on the truck! So what were we supposed to do?! We had no choice but to ship some items! Which cost us a lot. 8) Finally the day of delivery arrived and the driver was here alone. Almost ‪1-2 hrs‬ later one single person came as the helper. We found out that they had posted a craigslist ad that morning to hire local help to move our belongings. This is unbelievable how they could have such shady practices. ONE SINGLE PERSON SHOWED UP. In the meantime the driver started moving our boxes and furniture into the house and garage. He was upset because his extra help didn't arrive. NOT OUR PROBLEM. He was moving heavy furniture by himself and in the process scratched and stained the walls and carpet of our new place ... his reply? "it's a narrow staircase so it happens". We asked him to lay down rugs to protect the carpet but he didn't listen and put down one blanket to cover part of the stairs. We asked him to put on a mask AS RECOMMENDED BY NY STATE AND MULTIPLE PROFESSIONALS/DOCTORS/AGENCIES in this time of COVID especially because our 3 month old BABY was upstairs in one of the bedrooms with our uncle. He also had an attitude about that too and we had to remind him 3 times before he made a conscious effort to put on a mask. When they started off loading the truck we saw so many of the boxes the movers had packed were not labelled. We had no clue what was in them so had to open them to tell the mover which room the box should go to. He took offense to that and said we cannot do that and it will take them another 5 hours because. We told him we don't have x ray vision to see what is inside the boxes. AGAIN NOT OUR PROBLEM and in my mind I said YOUR COMPANY DID A TERRIBLE JOB SO COMPLAIN TO YOUR MANAGER/OWNER. We noticed some of the boxes were badly dented/damaged including some of the bins/storage tupper. There was one that was completely shattered and they had taped it around with brown packing tape to hold it together. Decor from the bin had fallen out onto the truck floor and the driver handed it over to us. When we mentioned all this damage and how could they do such a bad job he said "oh things break in a 1000 mile move. I am just the driver and delivery guy." We told him that we have moved 7 times before and have never had such a terrible experience. We saw that they damaged furniture also and left some furniture unassembled. Our baby's expensive bassinet was scratched and the inside was so dirtied because they put it in the truck as it it without covering or packing it (DESPITE REPEATEDLY TELLING THE PACKERS TO TAKE EXTRA PRECAUTIONS AND USE THE PROTECTIVE COVER AND BOX WE HAD GIVEN THEM). We saw that they used the storage bin in our garage to put office supplies including my APPLE MACBOOK PRO in there without any protection and they delivered and left the bin UPSIDE DOWN. Finally after 6 hours they off loaded our items from the truck. The inventory list was a complete mess. We don't even know if we have received everything. Made sure to make special comments on the papers signed at delivery. It's been 2 weeks and we are slowly unpacking and organizing and finding more and more items packed by the movers which are destroyed. Barware/glasses shattered, painting/frames destroyed, our baby's diaper changing station damaged, fragile decor broken in multiple pieces etc.. We have made sure to take pictures and videos for evidence. Understandably because of work and the fact that we have a newborn it is going to take some time to open and inspect all the boxes. We dread finding more of our belongings destroyed. I cannot fathom how this entire move from MOVING APT and Mayzlin Relocation LLC turned out to be so disastrous. We have contacted the owner of Mayzlin - Simon. He has not apologized but has sent us information to start a claim. We only recently read a yelp review online stating that this company and their claims process is a fraud and did not side with the customer. WE ARE OBVIOUSLY VERY WORRIED. We used the services of Angie's list and will be getting them involved as this was the absolute worst experience.

Everything went very smoothly. Petter, Thomas & Ron were extremely professional, and went out of their way to accommodate me. They even made an extra stop on the way to the new place to pick up some furniture from my house. I was super happy with everything, I would recommend Moving APT, and I would use them again.

Ben and his team were great! They moved our belongings to a home and half to storage. Ben packed storage and got everything to fit. This was a difficult and long day. We also changed our mind on a few items as we went as to where they would go.There was never a complaint or wine about anything we requested.They were more than happy to do everything we needed.We would DEFINITELY recommend them and use them again. I'm extremely pleased.

This is, without question, the worst moving company I have ever deal with. 1) I spent so much time on the phone with Robert P who went through the pictures of the house on Zillow, which gave me a lot of confidence in the quote – which was thousands of dollars lower than the other quotes I received. Then, a week before the move, they did a quality check with someone else, who DOUBLED the cost. It was too late to get my deposit back or book another company. 2) The movers were not done until 1:30 AM, at which time they told us -for the first time - there would be a 3% fee for using a credit card. The actual cost was thousands of dollars more than the second quote we received. 3) When I finally talked to someone, they offered me $500 “for my troubles” – when I called back to accept the offer, he “didn’t remember” speaking to me and didn’t honor it. They had our possessions hostage, so there was very little I could do. I am a lawyer and could sue them, but it isn’t worth the time and energy it would take to recover the thousands of dollars I could have saved by doing more research. But please don’t make the same mistake I made. You should never, ever use this company. There is no upside. Period.

Ron and his crew were very courteous. They moved our 3 bedroom home worth of furniture along with what we had in our storage shed in a very reasonable amount of time. They were a pleasure to deal with, and most certainly would use them again if I needed to move. Most highly recommended Moving APT.

The move was a breeze.They moved all furniture from a three bedroom two story house.The team was very professional and pleasant to work with. I highly recommend them to anybody needing to move. Great company!

Rachel and his crew arrived on time and handled my move quickly and professionally. They helped prepare some large/heavy items for loading, and everything arrived without a scratch. Moving is a pain, but these guys made it less painful.

Moved from house to apartment - disassembled and reassembled some furniture.Move included a lot of glass which needed to be wrapped.All were delivered and set up with no damage.Reasonable with the work involved.All of the movers were extremely nice and polite.

Moving APT moved me from my townhouse to a new single family home. The move went flawlessly and the movers were very careful and professional. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend.

Ben, Ron and the team were very professional and punctual. They arrived right on time and were quick and efficient in loading/unloading, disassembling/assembling furniture. They were very careful with all of our items and very professional. Moving is always stressful but they made the process a lot more bearable. I would definitely recommend Moving APT.

Excellent company, excellent movers, excellent prices.I was worried about the move and my stuff.I have a lot of delicate items and Antiques. Ben and his crew carefully wrapped and boxed everything.The move went flawless.I couldn't believe it! Ben and his crew were great.Friendly, helpful, and most of all quick! We will certainly use them again!

Thomas showed up right on time with his crew and got right to work. You can really see the difference when the boss is there doing the work himself. They were very careful about our furniture and fragile boxes.The move required 2 trips and Thomas and crew worked hard until the very end, setting up the beds and placing all the furniture exactly where we wanted it. They even moved stuff around for us once we changed our minds. All in all, moving is very stressful, but the actual move went very smooth. Nothing broken and no scratches. Everything was put back together exactly as it has been. If I had to move again (which I hope is not for a very very long time) I would be happy to use Thomas and Moving APT again.

Hired Moving APT to pack my whole house on one day and move me into my new home the next. They did a great job and I felt completely taken care of. Have furniture and other items in storage still and will be using them to move that remaining into my home. I highly recommend them.

The move went incredibly well.Ben came down with his movers. They worked quickly and efficiently.They were very friendly and pleasant to be around.They made sure everything was fully wrapped to my liking, and were very careful when moving my expensive furniture and antiques.Nothing got damaged.Ben and his movers didn't leave until everything was reassembled and I was satisfied with the arrangement of the furniture.I was very happy with their service and will definitely be recommending them to friends and family.

The move went AMAZING!! Moving APT packed up our entire 4 bedroom house that had tons of stuff!! They moved it to a new house a mile away. They came prepared with all the moving materials. They wrapped the glass items and dishes very well. They worked very carefully packing and moving, making sure nothing got damaged. They handled the furniture as if it was their own. The owner Ben was on the job. He and his workers were extremely polite and pleasant to be around. The workers worked quickly and carefully NONSTOP until the entire move was completed. I was very happy with this company's PROFESSIONAL service. They took care of everything. I didn't have to do a thing. I will most definitely be using them again in the future.Thank you Ben for that wonderful stress-free experience!! You guys are the best!!

Rachel and his staff showed up on time, made me feel at ease giving them all my precious possessions, and they managed to move it all with no damages and to do it very quickly. I have already referred two people to them. great things ahead for this business.

Ron and Lili are the BEST!!! Ben , the owner of this company, is the kindest, most efficient, young man I have met in a very long time. He is a great communicator- by phone, e-mail, and text. They handled the furniture as if it was their own. The furniture was a 28 piece set, and they delivered and placed each piece where I wanted it to go. I could go on and on, but I will sum it up by saying. PROFESSIONAL, PLEASANT, PROFICIENT, and PRICE CONSCIOUS !!!! Look no further- if you have something to move- call Moving APT. I love these guys!!!!

I was very concerned about hiring movers who would follow strict coronavirus safety measures, and when I called Moving Apt for a quote, I was told that their movers followed all CDC guidelines. This was not the case. The movers did not wear masks at all during most of the move, and when they did wear their masks, they often wore them incorrectly—below the nose and occasionally pulling them down below the mouth. This persisted even after we asked them to make sure they were wearing their masks at least while indoors. The movers didn’t seem to handle my furniture with much care; they dragged several office chairs and a keyboard (in a cardboard box) down a few stairs rather than carrying them, so that they landed heavily on each step. We were also charged an extra $300 for stairs on the pickup day, beyond the $75 we had already paid. The pickup location was a third-floor apartment, with a total of about 40 stairs between the street and the apartment, broken up only by a porch and one landing on the second floor. Apparently, according to their calculations, this counted as six flights of stairs, since every seven steps is treated as a separate “flight.” This is not at all intuitive and should have been explained much more clearly when I received my initial quote. Finally, we were told that we could pay through an app called Zell in order to avoid a 3% extra charge if we paid by credit card. Zell rejected the transaction, so we ended up having to pay a $45 extra credit card charge on top of everything else. They completed the job quickly and everything arrived in good condition, but it was a stressful moving process (and significantly more expensive than quoted), and I wouldn’t trust these carriers again.

I heard about Moving APT from a friend that they did a move for and she was really happy. I called them up on Sunday. Within the hour of the call the truck was on the way to the first location. They were very careful with all my furniture. They made sure everything was wrapped so nothing would get damaged. When they arrived at the drop off location the elevator was out of service so they had to carry everything up 2 flights of stairs. They did that without a problem. They moved really quickly and professionally. I was very impressed and happy with their service.

This is my second move with Moving APT.Needless to say I was very satisfied the first time so I called them for my second move. moving day is always very stressful so finding a professional and reliable mover is so very important. Peter is a very honest and professional person and company.He is very hard working and careful with my possessions.I have recommended him to all my friends and anyone that mentions that they are looking to move.I highly recommend this mover and the price is very reasonable.

Petter and his crew not only showed up on time but were a few minutes early. They not only moved all of our furniture quickly, but also took VERY good care of it. They treated the furniture as if it were their own. After packing up the truck they took it over to the new house and placed every box and piece of furniture in the room we requested, not ever 2nd guessing anything. Most importantly they were upfront about the moving costs. Since we had provided them a good idea of what items we had and needed to be moved they advised before touching a single item that the quote they initially provided us was accurate, and there would be no "secret" upcharges. All in all it was a great experience, and next time I need a moving service I will definitely look them up again.
