My parents have a 20 year old home with a security system whose provider went out of business. We had some technical issues that I could not solve on my own. After exhausting the bigger, higher marketed companies, I discovered Moon Security (Ram Schratter). From our talks over the phone and the follow-up meetings afterwards, Mr. Schratter made me feel at ease, not only because his pricing was reasonable, but because he explained himself thoroughly. He did not try to up-sell and was earnest with what he offers in house and what he can do with other electronics upgrades (i.e. video monitoring, smart phone viewing, etc.) Where other companies would not visit the property unless I agreed to sign a one year contract with them, Mr. Schratter left that up to me and did not force me into any contract. In addition, his equipment costs were very competitive (even when shopping through the internet) and his security fee plans were fair in my opinion. Bottom line, I will use him again when I complete my remodeling for my home.

Great experience, Ram showed up on time, discussed all options, definitely a tech savvy guy so I enjoyed the conversation being tech savvy myself. Ram provided competitive no nonsense pricing on the spot. The best part of the process was the owner involvement, this made the experience much better as he personally made sure that all aspects of the installation were done correctly, as expected and in a way that made sense. Also liked the attention to detail and effort to minimize any exposed cables. Installation took a few days due to this attention to detail and taking the time to do things right. One of the most enjoyable vendor experiences in recent times. Highly recommended.

We are extremely pleased with this company. Moon Security gave us a detailed, written proposal immediately. The price was very good. The work commenced within a reasonable amount of time, and was completed promptly, considering the complexity of the job. The owner of the company demonstrated the use of the system at a time that was convenient to me. When one of the cameras malfunctioned a few weeks after installation, he came out and replaced it right away. Now everything is working great. We are very happy with the system and we would definitely recommend Moon Security to anyone who needs this type of work done in their home.

I was unhappy with my current alarm system. I did not have a land line and my wireless on several occassions had failed to comunicate with central station. I did not have window sensors nor window breackage sensors and I felt my security system was lacking in many ways. In addition I wanted to add video surveillance. I called Moon Securities upon referrals I had seen here on Angie's List. Ram came out quickly and listened to all my concerns and made recommendations based on his evaluation as well as my needs. He explained his concerns and we discussed several options for equipment and service. Although I wanted higher security, I did not want to sacrifice the comfort or appearance of my home. Together we came up with speficic solutions to address each concern. Ram was very honest and practical in his recommendations. The job took 3 days to complete, just as Ram said it would. His employee, Roberto, was very professional and knowledgable. Before the camera installation, Ram was able to show me the views i would have, and together we were able to determine where to place the cameras for the best coverage of my home. After insallation, Ram was excellent at teaching us how to use of all the equipment. He was very patient and made sure I understood I could reach him at any time as needed. I now feel much more secure. I am able to view my cameras from my smart phone, my office and actually anywhere in the world I may be. In addition, I know I can count on Ram in the future with whatever concerns or service my home surveillance requires.

I had already met Mr. Schratter a few years back (thru Angie's List). He paid a visit to my home to discuss his services, and, though I was not ready to switch companies at that time, I was impressed by his sincere demeanor. So, when I found myself ready to make the change, I thought of him immediately. The response to my call in April 2011 was prompt and informative. Mr. Ram Schratter, the owner, visited my home to review the changes I required and to discuss the terms of service with Moon Security Systems. I was not interested in upgrading to a more complex alarm system, but I was dissatisfied with the company I had been using. Mr. Schratter explained my options simply and clearly, without trying to sell me any additional services. I was pleased with his straightforward manner and arranged a date for him to return in one week's time. He came at the appointed hour to install the new equipment. He performed the work in a timely, organized and professional manner, cleaning up each area as he moved around the house and explaining details as he went along. Mr. Schratter seems to have a great deal of experience in his field, and, it seems to me, a sincere, personal commitment to his customers. He urged me to contact him for any reason at all, and I feel confident that he will respond to any future concerns I may have. From beginning to end my experience was very satisfactory.

I called Ram for an estimate and was immediately impressed with his punctuality, knowledge and excellent customer service. There was no pressure, just good overall information about various security system options. He inspected my home and suggested the CCTV system which was less expensive than revamping my antiquated alarm system. Ram is a sincere professional who had my best interest in mind. After explaining the options, he said he would leave me with information for me to review, but I was so impressed with his offer, that I contracted his services immediately. He only asked for a $100.00 deposit and began installing the cameras two days later. By the end of the week the system was fully installed. He took the time to fully explain the operation of the system locally and remotely. To improve my wireless reception, Ram additionally moved my modem and router to a higher location alongside the CCTV box. He reorganized the wiring and connected everything to a surge protector. The service was excellent and beyond my expectations. I highly recommend Ram and Moon Security Systems Inc.

Ram was excellent and gave me a lot of good advice and guided me through all the logistics of getting the alarm installed. He's excellent.

Ram is honest and direct. He explained the different options and pros and cons of each. He and an installer came and installed everything in a day and came back when our phone lines were active to install and connect the rest.

They were excellent, and it cost exactly how much they told me it would cost. They cleaned up after themselves. Everything worked like a charm. I would definitely recommend them to others.

We have used Moon Security for years in this and a prior home. Ram and his workman do a fantastic job. They are prompt, responsive and highly knowledgeable about the actual equipment, something not seen with many of the larger companies. We have been very satisfied with all aspects of their work- installation and monitoring. Updated 08/2011: We are now in our third home with Moon Security. This home was larger and a more complex installation because of several areas that are difficult to run wires for hardwired contacts. But nothing is too hard for Moon! We just love Ram, his installation crew and monitoring company. Can't say enough about them. They also recently installed a CCTV Surveillance system in our home and I'd love to leave a review specific to that installation if Angie's List would create a category for it.

I am extremely pleased with the professionalism of this company. My calls were returned/answered, they arrived when they said they would and they made follow up calls with out my prompting. They took the extra step to make sure the new key pad covered the old discolored area around where the old key pad was. Most companies would not care.

THEY WERE SIMPLY WONDERFUL! THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB AT ANSWERING ALL OF OUR QUESTIONS AND PROVIDING INFORMATION FOR US. WE COULD NOT HAVE ASKED FOR BETTER SERVICE AND HAVE RECOMMENDED THEM MANY TIMES.

I HAVEN'T HAD A BREAK-IN SINCE I GOT THEIR ALARM, SO IT MUST BE WORKING. THEY RESPOND QUICKLY IF THE ALARM DOES GO OFF. THEIR PRICE IS AVERAGE FOR AN ALARM COMPANY IN THE AREA.
