Ram came out last minute and provided a detailed explination of what we had and what he recommended. He told us what was needed and what would be overkill. He ordered the needed equipment and was out quickly to professionally install the new system. He did a nice training session on how to use the new system and access it via mobile app. I was truly impressed at his knowledge and professionalism, it is not often you find people to say don't spend money on something that is not needed. He is a pro!

Mr. Schratter was able to evaluate the problem and suggest the remedy during his first visit. He then scheduled the repair/replacement soon as possible to relieve me of the concern of not having my home protected. The day he did the work, he attended to his work professionally and with focus. I am most grateful to finally have a service and system with which I can feel confident. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Schratter, and Moon Security. (P.S. In addition to the new equipment and repair, payment includes four months of monitoring.)

What an excellent experienced. Our alarm system all of a sudden lost power so I called Moon Security Systems based on the good reviews here on angies list. The office lady was very friendly and said I would get a call from the technician Ram to set up an appointment. I got called back within an hour, and we set up an appointment for the very next day at 10am. Ram was at 9:55am at my front door and it was an excellent customer experience. He figured out that the transmitter & battery were broken so thats why we had the power loss. He explained everything in detail, gave me some tips and tricks to handle a new panel, which I decided to replace. Ah, and it turned out that he is the owner, which made this experience even more valuable, as he really took care about his new clients in person. I would definitely call him again and highly recommend this company for all alarm system purposes.

Ram is very puntual, professional and knowledgeable. He did a great job; explained all options before installation; performed the job in a timely manner. I would highly recommend him for any of these jobs. I chose his company based on Angie's list reviews and was pleased to corroborate all those good reviews.

We have used Moon Security for years in this and a prior home. Ram and his workman do a fantastic job. They are prompt, responsive and highly knowledgeable about the actual equipment, something not seen with many of the larger companies. We have been very satisfied with all aspects of their work- installation and monitoring. He reorganized the wiring and connected everything to a surge protector. The service was excellent and beyond my expectations. I highly recommend Ram and Moon Security Systems Inc.

Ram was punctual to start with, has an extensive knowledge in his business and is very detailed oriented. I was impressed by his workmanship and professionalism. My cameras were installed promptly and he was cautious to leave my home as neat as he found it. He has pride in the work he does and it shows. His assistant, Roberto, was also very helpful in answering my concerns and detailed in his work as well. I could not be more pleased with their work and I highly recommend them.

I hired Moon Security based on the reviews in Angie's List. Owner Ram Schratter came personally to review and discuss what was required as I had installed impact windows and needed to transition from my old system. Ram is highly knowledgeable about the systems that he sells, is very patient to go over every detail and answer every question. The installation was made in a very timely manner and in a very professional way. His price was very competitive and no long-term contract was required. I recommend Moon Security very highly. *3/27/17 update: since the installation of the system in 2015, I have had a couple of very minor hardware issues, due in part to some parts of my old system that were retained for the non-impact windows. The response time was always excellent, and his technicians are highly-qualified. All service charges have been reasonable, and the monitoring system continues to work as designed. I could not be happier with my home security system.

After two no-show appointments with a "sorry we missed the appointment" next day phone call, I should have expected the lack of follow-up by this company. I needed to change alarm companies and after looking through "Angies List," I contacted Moon Security Systems based upon the "Super Service Award." Looking back on the unprofessional manner in which this company exhibited from contact to follow-up, I'm glad I didn't hire them to be my alarm provider.

In July I purchased a new home and started to rely on Angie?s list. One of the best introductions they provided was Ram Schratter, owner of Moon Security. My call was answered within the hour and Ram arrived as promised. I was impressed with his in-depth assessment of my home environment as well as his knowledge and articulation of the products and services he offers. He listened to my concerns and suggested a variety of possible solutions, without any pressure whatsoever. For me, there?s nothing that can replace the peace of mind of having a first-rate professional install my home security system. I?ve been living with the system for about six weeks and I sleep like a baby. I enthusiastically recommend Ram and Moon Security. There?s no other security company that offers the quality products and level of service that Ram does. Simply the best.

Hands down, the best I've ever dealt with in the security business. Very reliable and knowledgeable with no pushy sales pitches. Just an honorable company that does what they say. They are very attentive to detail and do a first class job. I've already recommended them and I normally don't recommend anyone.

The tires and rims off my vehicle where stolen within the past month. After talking to some of my new neighbors and a few police officers, I discovered this occurs on a nightly basis in the Kendall area. There simply are not enough cops to prevent this from occuring. And even when they catch the thief, since it?s a non-violent crime, punishment is relatively minimal. As one cop put it, ?Low risk, high reward.? Every person I talked to indicated there were two things I could to prevent this from occurring again. First, lots of lights. Second, surveillance cameras. Ram had previously installed my alarm system so I gave him a call. Like last time, he was at my house within a few hours. He walked around the property, giving me ideas where and where not to install the cameras. The next day I had an estimate in my inbox. After comparing his price, which turned out to be incredibly fair, we agreed to proceed with the installation process. Ram and his crew showed up on time and installed all the cameras within a day. That night, Ram returned to my house at 6:30, once I could get out of work and spent over an hour and half installing the viewing programs on my computer and phone. He also explained the entire system to me. As I write this review I can check the cameras at my house and know everything is ok. I could not be happier with the product or the service. Highly recommend.

Ram Schratter was punctual...on the minute (both for estimate and subsequent installation), presented his company extremely well with estimate visit (brochure with all information, including choices of panels, etc., and what his services would include), extremely professional, fast working and focused during subsequent installation, left the house impeccably clean after the job was completed, and thoroughly explained the installed system, along with "hands on". I am extremely pleased with the alarm system and Mr. Schratter, and would recommend him and Moon Security Systems without hesitation. Thank you,

He was excellent; he was very good. He came out and we thought he fixed it. It acted up again with the same issue. He came back and did another service call. We paid another $50 for it. I liked him. He was very efficient. It was his company.

My call was answered within the hour. I was very impressed with Ram's assessment of the problem. He made a few suggestions for a possible solution without any pressure on me to decide immediately one way or another. The next morning he installed the equipment that I had selected and gave me a very thorough training on how to use it going forward. This was a positive experience for me and I will not hesitate to recommend the company to anybody that has a need for their services.

I recently purchased a new home and for the first time truly started to rely on Angie?s list. To date, all the recommendations I have received have been spot on. However, none have been better than Moon Security. It is amazing how far above and beyond the call of duty Ram has gone. Both my wife and I work long hours, so meeting with us can be complicated. Ram has taken the time to meet us late at night and early in the morning. Ram has been on time to each appointment and all appointment requests have been provided in a timely manner. Just as importantly, Ram listens to us and has made the appropriate changes, always listening to all our concerns. Moon security is more expensive than some of the other providers. But there is nothing which can replace the peace of mind of having a professional install your home security system. Some of the other providers I received a quote from indicated they would mail my system in a box, after which I could paste it to the walls. Sounds good for an apartment, not my house. Other providers indicated they would provide some of the equipment as long as I signed a contract. But once I did my research, I found out the equipment would only work with their company. With Ram, he comes out to install the system. Him and Roberto, his installer, run hard wire through the house and I own the equipment. Let me tell you a little story about attention to detail and customer service. The house had an old alarm system, which Ram used a part of to save me some money. Prior to installing the alarm, I had a few windows changed. To insure the old wires were not damaged, Ram came out on a SATURDAY MORNING to supervise the removal of the windows. As an aside, while the installation and purchase of equipment may be a little more expensive, this is because he uses top of the line equipment. I checked the prices on line. Moreover, as indicated previously, I own the equipment. So while other companies initial fee was cheaper, in the long run they are more expensive. My service contract is only $35.00 a month. This includes alarm, fire, smoke, cameras, cellular backup and whatever else I want to add. The monthly fee does not increase.

I contacted Moon Security systems and they arrived on time and we discussed the best cause of action. I was told that the alarm panels and control box were old and needed to be replaced as it was not possible to obtain the security codes to work on the system, also the DVR which has a noisy fan would have to be replaced to a more user friendly unit to access the internet and a one that was silent in operation. As agreed the installation took place on time the next day and all the new equipment was installed. On completion of the alarm installation the system it was tested and found working correctly and a alarm monitoring company agreement was set up. The new DVR was installed which was silent in operation and I can now access the system thru the internet to my computer and smartphone. Once all the equipment was installed the operation of the systems were explained in detail. I would recommend this company and would certainly use them again should the need arise.

Ram was excellent to deal with. From our initial meeting, I was impressed with his knowledge of the products and services he offers. I consider that for the products and services that he provided, that Ram offered the best value. He was patient and came out to my home on several occasions as my home underwent remodeling to ensure that everything was going as planned. In the end, I am very pleased with the results of both of the systems he installed.

I spoke on the phone with Ram about my Alarm and although it was not one he normally worked with he came and was able to install and configure it. He was on time and professional and knew what he was doing. I am very happy with the installation.

Installer was very quick and experienced. Ram cam and worked with the installer to configure the interface of the system. He did extensive testing. I ended up having faulty glass breaks. Ram replaced them and worked with me to reconfigure my system until I was satisified. I would highly recommend Ram and Moon Security.

First meeting surveyed the system and presented options such as landline or cell phone connection to the central station. Once I had settled on a configuration I set up to have it installed. The installation required almost all day. From first phone call to finished product took less than a week.

We had a very old alarm system that we wanted to replace. We called 4 local companies and asked for estimates. Ram Schratter, owner of Moon Security Systems, came to the house, did a thorough analysis of our existing system and then recommended what he thought we should do. Ram was very concientious about saving us as much as possible, so he identified parts of the existing system he did not think were necessary to replace. Both my husband and I were extremely impressed with Ram's knowledge and expertise, by far the most extensive of any other company we interviewed. We signed the contract and the next day Ram delivered the equipment to our house. The following day, Roberto started the installation. Roberto was very knowlegeable, he was punctual and professional. And also, he was very neat!!!!! Roberto worked only half a day that Friday and did not return until the following Tuesday. It was a long holiday weekend. But, Ram had made us fully aware of Roberto's plans even before we signed the contract. No suprises, Ram was always very upfront with every detail of the process. The installation was completed without a glitch. The systems worked perfectly from day one. If you need a new alarm system, Moon Security Systems is the way to go .

Roberto, the installer, was polite, professional and punctual. The installation took three days. You might think this is a long time but don't forget he ran hard-wire to all my windows and doors via the attic which is no easy task. In some instances, access was not possible due to the limited space in the attic and wire could not be run to the window/door. No problem. A wireless expander was installed and wireless units installed as necessary. I also had glass break sensors placed throughout the house and the alarm is hooked up to the phone line with a cellular dial up as a back-up.. The installation exceeded my expectations. There is always a mess when having work done but Roberto was meticulous and the mess was minimal. I felt comfortable with Roberto and at times left him by himself while I ran errands. Ram assisted in the installation with Roberto when needed. After the installation was complete, Ram labels each zone so that if there is a open window it will tell you which window and not "Zone 12" open. Ram also programs all needed features and shows you how to programs access codes. We also received two wireless keys to arm/disarm the system with a panic button. Let me close by saying MOON SECURITY SYSTEMS is the company to use. I don't think any other company can touch the quality of equipment and workmanship I received from Moon Security. You can go to another company and pay less money but don't forget the old saying...... "You get what you pay for"

Overall it was a positive experience from start to finish. I have no negative comments about this company.
