Miami's Quality Auto Repair

We had our car taken in for an estimate. They were extremely responsive, answering the phone and/or returning calls immediately. They provided a very detailed estimate via email with pictures of each part and detailed explanations for each service, divided into categories. We were very impressed with the overall quality of the organization and the friendliness/professionalism/cooperation of the staff. We opted not to move forward with the repairs as it was more than the car was worth but would definitely use Miami's Quality Auto Repair for any future service needs.

Great team at Miami's Quality Auto Repair. What led me to them initially is that they had the best package price in town for a set of new Michelin tires, oem, installed with alignment, bal, etc. - And more importantly is that the diagnostic found that I had only 3 brakes working on this family car. (They replaced a frozen front caliper with a NAPA unit and replaced the old brake line hose with a new one. ) - This is a rare shop with an unusually courteous and professional staff. The free shuttle and loaner car option is an added perk. Special discounts on work were given. The tire package was almost $300. less than several other supposedly discount tire stores. They also found a number of safety items that needed to be addressed asap that the dealership failed to notice recently in addition to the failed front brake caliper. (!!!) I was also impressed with the thorough and excellent digital inspection report, quote : "from Miami's Quality Auto Repair. All recommendations are prioritized by level of urgency. Our service technicians also take inspection photos and videos to explain our recommendations." To reintegrate: Miami's Quality Auto shop found a number of urgent safety issues that needed immediate attention that mechanics in other shops failed to notice on this family car. Grade: A1A ++

I have been going to these guys for the last couple of years and I can not complain. If the mechanic sees a problem, he will call you and discuss the best way to proceed. They will also find the best pricing to ease the pocket book. When the job is done, Jay or one of his team members will go over any recommendations for the next check-up. My favorite part are the pictures they email to you of what they did on your car. They have a "Car Care Club Card" that's only $99.95 and in the long run, you save $450.43 over a two year period. You also received a monthly newsletter, with great coupons to use during that month and they are AAA approved.

Jay is courteous and friendly. He provided good recommendations on the tires and suggested the loner car which was the deal maker. They were really cool in fulfilling my request to spray paint the rims (they are a bit worn) and also sent me an email with details on the complimentary inspection. One of their mechanics then called me and walked me through the inspection report. Very good experience.

I asked if they could do it on the phone and they told me to come on over. I was in and out within a half hour. It was fine. I’ve been there before and everything has always been fine. I was recommended to this company by Angie’s List as well as AAA Auto Club, which means a lot to me. They’ve done what they needed to do.

It was great! I take my car here all the time. They are very reliable! I think their pricing is very fair and they also have a lot of promotions that one can take advantage of. I have been very satisfied with their pricing! I had took advantage of a promotion for an oil change and car check over for under $20. They also identified some issues they found but I didn't have them do the work at that time, but they kept the price for the oil change and check over the same.

They quoted me almost $400 to change two little cylinders on my brakes. I called a few other shops and they quoted me over half that price for the same job. They are very friendly and offer you free snacks and refreshments while you wait. They make you believe that they are very efficient. I would recommend shopping around for quotes from other shops before getting any work done.

So let's get the bad out of the way first: When I picked up the car the radio would not pick up any stations. As it turns out, the tech forgot to reconnect the radio antenna after performing the service through the center stack. Before posting my review I gave some thought on whether I wanted to include that detail given my overall experience and the fact that this was just an oversight. I decided that Angie's List is valuable because members with REAL NAMES share REAL experiences and that is what makes it such a good resource. If I post the good I should also be willing to post the bad and the ugly. All this being said, my overall experience, as my ratings indicate, could only have been better if I hadn't had to return to get the antenna cable reconnected. Everything was spot on and by the numbers. I can't believe how smooth the brakes are now. I have to say that this is a shop that totally bucks the "ripoff mechanic" stereotype. I gave a "N/A" rating on the price because, frankly, I didn't shop around so I can't say that someone else won't be cheaper, but I didn't feel like taking a chance on a cheaper option where there was a much higher probability of getting ripped off in the end. These guys have improved since the last time I visited. They now offer a complimentary loaner car while your work is being done (don't get excited it's not a Corvette or an Escalade, but it is a newer vehicle with AirCon which is the most important thing in South Florida). They are also instituting a policy of photographing or video recording diagnostics as they are being performed and sending them to you in an email link. This I thought was very useful because it gave me a sense of what was actually being done...not just some nebulous "mechanical work on vehicle" line item. I very much liked this. They say you learn more about a person when they lose than you do when they win. Certainly I think this applies to Service Providers as well. When everything goes smoothly everyone is happy and frankly, you don't learn much about those providing the service, but when you run into speed-bumps (as with the antenna situation) you get to see how they react and make it all right. When I took the car back in they were very apologetic and took care of me immediately. But they also went a step further to ensure that I knew they valued my business and wanted me to be as happy as possible under the circumstances. I won't put them on the spot about what they did for me as every situation is different. I don't want to give someone reading this an expectation of something that may not apply in their case. I did not ask for anything other than to have them re-connect the antenna cable, but they did more than that. They have also continued to follow up to make sure that everything is as it should be. Their staff is friendly , knowledgeable and it really does seem that they are happy about working there. Definitely a good sign. Overall I'm convinced that they deserve to have the word "quality" in their name.

I brought my truck to them because I did'nt want to buy the test fixture myself ( disabled former ASE certified master technician ). They charged me $345, gave a false diagnoses , and recommended many expensive services that I had already preformed or were unnecessary ( fuel pump assy. $800 ). Bottom line, I would not recomend them for anything very involved, you might be ok with minor repairs and maintenance ( they did a good job on my engine mounts last year ). Great service, left car running like new. Not the cheapest

The staff were very friendly, which is unusual in this area. Best of all they simply did their jobs to the best of our expectations and didn't break anything else. Every major franchise I've tried in the Miami Dade area (Jiffy Lube was the worst) always half assed what they were supposed to do or were unethical shops trying to scam you one way or another. Kudos to these guys.

I purchased a $25 big deal from Miami's Quality Auto Repair for auto repair service. They were fine too. I forget exactly what they did on the vehicle but that was the same thing across the board. They were fine, professional the whole nine yards. I would give the same grades across the board. I couldn?t tell you when the last time I use them. It was fairly after I used that after that was purchased. They are were out of the way and everything else but I kinda just wanted to take them outside have another place to go in case I needed so that?s the only reason I haven't use them because they are a little bit out of the way but it?s worthwhile to use the coupon and everything for what they have done. That was good. No extra dollar paid for what was done. For what was done under that, no, it was fine. The big deal was for oil change, inspection and everything else. Then I think I have the brake done a little bit while I was there because I needed to be done.

I was very lucky to find Miami Quality Auto Service on Angie's List about 2 years ago. Since then, they have serviced and done major repairs on my 3 cars, all 100% OK. Staff and mechanics are honest, polite, friendly, efficient, professional, helpful. knowledgeable, trustwrthy, reliable. They keep you informed as repairs are in progress.
