On time, courteous and professional

I spoke with Jerry on the phone and set up a time when he could work on the windows. I had arranged for a neighbor to come over and be with him when he came. He was on time and is a very friendly and effective worker. For many years, my windows have not quite closed all the way. The power company loved it but I didn't. The windows he was able to fix that day all close completely now and work like new. Several of the windows had parts that needed replacing and he is looking for those parts now. He will come back and finish the remaining windows when he gets the parts. These windows are 35 to 40 years old and I really appreciate finding a craftsman who can repair them instead of a company that only wants to replace them. He did a great job and even cleaned up after himself. My neighbor is very impressed with how long and hard he worked and with how friendly he was. I would definitely recommend him to anyone!

He arrived on schedule. Worked fast and neat. Excellent job. This is the second time I have used him and I would not hesitate to use again.

I live in old building and the windows are also old. Jerry was punctual and gave new life to all of the windows. It's so nice and easy to open any of them now. Plus having with the new screens installed I can enjoy some fresh air without the mosquitos and fly.

Jerry does all the work himself. When I first called, he was booked for a while, so we scheduled an appointment in three weeks. He called to confirm and then called again when he was delayed in traffic. He checked each window thoroughly, explained that it would save money if he did the work while the window was apart, which made sense, so I asked him to go ahead. He charges a $60/hour plus materials. After he checked all the windows, fixed several of them as he went, the bill for the day was $162; we planned the next day for him to finish and he gave me an estimate for that. When he finished yesterday, some of the windows were more challenging than he'd planned, so the cost ran a little higher than expected, but still less than the other bid I'd gotten for the same work, which was for $734.

He could no solve the problem and recommended i replace the window a service he does not preform

Jerry was great! He returned my phone call within a day and came to my house 2 days later. Because he had asked me to email photos of the windows, he knew what the problem was and was able to finish the job in one appointment. He replaced 3 1960's-style mechanical cranks (only God and Jerry know where to find them) and also corrected some construction problems from when a previous owner had tried to install a window himself. Jerry was prompt, neat, and professional. I would definitely use him again.

I have old awning windows, each with 5 panels of glass. Most of the panels had problems. He went through every one these panels replacing parts and making sure they are in working condition again. It"s all fixed. Great experience.

On the basis of Angie's List reports I called Jerry's about several windows which had been painted shut by the previous owners of my condo. Jerry came the same day I called him and completed the work promptly and perfectly. Life would be so much easier if all tradesmen were this good.

The job was done in two appointments, both at my convenience. Jerry showed up on time, took care to cover the floor and furniture under his work area, and cleaned up afterwords. Plus, he entertained me with some very interesting stories while he worked. He is a very personable guy and meticulously professional at what he does. I am very satisfied with the work that was done, and am very happy to have those windows in good shape again. Particularly the awning windows, since new windows are not available in the awning style.

Jerry gave approximate quote over the phone. When he arrived we found more holes than originally seen. He had all the materials on his truck to replace the screens. He used the flat spline (stronger than the circular spline), but a little trickier to install. Workmanship was great and he cleaned up all materials removed / left over. Highly recommended.

Really great experience. I had a window upstairs that had broken, and would not open or close properly. SOmeone had smashed the bottom part down to get it closed. Jerry got the window open, and examined the mechanism to determine there was a broken part. He contacted the manufacturer to have parts shipped since no one had them locally, and came back to replace them. On the way out the door, he noticed the latch was sticking, and disassembled it and oiled the internal parts to make it work correctly. Other people who reviewed the broken window had advised replacement, which would involved permits, major construction, and five times the price. Best call from Angies list all year!

The house has a large number of crank operated awning windows that have not been opened in a while. Jerry looked at them and gave a reasonably accurate idea of how much it would cost to get the windows in working order. He started work immediately, laying out a cloth to catch detritus as he disassembled each window. He identified the problems and fixed the easy ones. He then tracked down hard to find replacement parts and fabricated parts he could not find. Problems included rusted through pivot bars and caulked closed windows. When he was done, all the windows opened and closed smoothly and sealed tightly. He replaced a couple of screens and a cracked pane and unsealed two stuck doors. Jerry is knowledgable, conscientious. He does a thorough and professional job.

He did an absolutely fabulous job and didn’t quit until it was absolutely right. It was great to work with him and his estimate was about half of what other estimates were. He came on time and did a great job. We will definitely be using him again.

Jerry was able to fix everything that needed fixing. He even had the parts with him in his truck. I wouldn't use anybody else for this type of repair. He was awesome!!

It was fantastic, I couldn't have been happier with Jerry's work quality or professionalism.

Jerry asked me to describe what happened then told me it was indeed repairable, what the issue was and when I asked him, he offered a range of what I could reasonably expect to pay to get it repaired. He was very professional, sympathetic and knowledgeable. Given the chance, I would gladly work with him in the future.

As expected. No surprised, reasonable fee. I would definitely use Jerry again and do not hesitate recommending him.

Very satisfied with the work. I have to call him back because a number of window had some cracked glass and I was not even aware of that. Have an estimate of about the same price and I think its a bit high but hard to find someone reliable and as hard working.

Excellent job. Very reasonable rates and is a perfectionist. He will take the time he needs to fix the problem right the first time.

Very knowledgeable. Was able to work us in to a long list of requests he had. He was on time. I thought it was a little expensive for the small jobs that we had done.
