My name is Peter Masi. I am a native South Floridian and founder, owner and operator of Greenstar Landscaping and Irrigation Co. I am a licensed irrigation contractor with over 40 years of experience in the landscaping and irrigation industry. Greenstar Irrigation specializes in maintaining and repairing irrigation systems of all types and sizes. Our 7 point irrigation tune-up, diagnostic and service call is offered at $49.95. Your preliminary Inspection, Diagnostic and Service Call is FREE with any repair over $250.00. Our extensive experience in the industry allows us to diagnose and repair sprinkler systems quickly and cost effectively. We can improve the efficiency of your irrigation system and are dedicated to water conservation. WE DO NOT INSTALL NEW IRRIGATION SYSTEMS. Description of Work: They fixed my whole sprinkler system and added new heads and pipes in certain zones that were broken. The company was extremely professional and the employees very helpful and respectful. They worked hard to complete the job in the day, staying until 6pm to finish it for me. I was very happy and grateful for a job well done. Wish I had found them years ago !!

Description of Work: The company overhauled and fixed our sprinkler system and despite my telling the workmen to please take care not to cut my landscape lighting wires, they did. However, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and assumed it was an accident. Although they never told me they cut the wire, I found out when the electrician came to fix my landscape lights which also needed a overhaul. But we absorbed that cost of the repair, We were happy with the sprinkler system. Less than two months later, I noticed some patches of lawn that the new sprinklers were not reaching. The owner was responsive and took care of the problem quickly by adding a new sprinkler head and fixing other heads. After that repair, an area of my landscape lights stopped working. I called the electrician and he showed me the cut wire next to the repaired sprinkler. I contacted the owner of Greenstar to ask that he pay for that repair (a small amount compared to the $2000 we had already paid). His response was defensive, juvenile and unprofessional. Which I have emails to prove. He refused to take responsibility for the carelessness of the repair and was very insulting. A paying customer deserves respect. I absolutely do not recommend Greenstar.

Response from Greenstar Landscaping & Irrigation
Dear [Member name removed], We are sorry to hear about your negative experience. Our ultimate goal at Greenstar Landscaping is for all of our customers to be 100% satisfied with our services. Yes, in February of 2016, we did come out to your property and do an extensive re-do and re-design of your irrigation system. A walk-through took place, the work was signed off as completed to customer's satisfaction, and payment was remitted. We were never informed that any incident had transpired and thus could offer no recourse or remedy to the situation. We never knew about any issues or cut or damaged wires until now. In March of 2016, we came out again at no additional charge. This time for a smaller irrigation repair as per your request since you had noticed some areas that were not receiving adequate irrigation. As I mentioned in my previous emails to you, I flagged everything that needed to be done and went over everything with you in great detail. Never during that conversation did you mention anything about any previous wires being cut or give any warnings or indications that we should take such measures to prevent the inadvertent cutting of landscaping lighting wires. We are not responsible for damage done to any underground utilities, including landscape lighting, unless the location of such has been explicitly and clearly marked. However, in these two instances, our technicians were never even aware that they had hit or broken any wires and if they had noticed they cut the wires, they would have easily fixed and made the repairs on the spot and/or let the customer know. As I mentioned to you previously in the emails that we exchanged, a picture of the damaged wire was never provided, so I cannot assess its proximity to the sprinkler head that we repaired nor the extent of the damage. We did indeed receive a picture of the landscape lighting company's invoice of $85. Written in different ink and different hand-writing were the words "by new sprinkler." This looked very odd to me since it appears to have been written after the fact as opposed to written in the original invoice. I take these reviews extremely seriously. At Greenstar Landscaping, we strive to be number one and offer the best in customer satisfaction. And it shows by our overall A grade and winning the Super Service Awards three years in a row.

Description of Work: We had an evaluation of our irrigation system and my husband wanted a zoned system to conserve water. In the process of the work we found relic irrigation which Greenstar capped off. Also Our well collapsed during the process so we had to dig another well but because we wanted it dug under permit, it took a lot of time. Overall I think the irrigation system works. I do not know the overall cost we ended up paying but my husband is happy and that is what counts.

Description of Work: Initial special was inspection of 1 year old system. Replaced several heads, added filter to pump and adjusted. Have to call to readjust one or two that don't hit whole area and will rate that service call when scheduled and done. Owner does the initial inspection. Service crew was prompt and very polite. Had asked for additional landscaping quotes. Sprinkler work completed.
