They told us on the phone we would be charged min for an hour. Service was done for about 25 mins only - testing our gate and water. But the person sent charged us for 1.5 hours. We will never use them again as they are dishonest. You guys should take them off your list.

The electrician arrived in a timely manner and performed the desired services flawlessly. In short, I have used Edd Helms in the past for their electrical expertise and they have always performed the services that I have requested to my fullest satisfaction.

GREAT! John scheduled everything and was very fair about the price. The guys showed up right on time and worked really hard for two days. They installed a new breaker box with an electric line that runs half the perimeter of our property. They even installed heavy duty pipe for future possible projects and hooked up the pool heater for us. The workers were great - friendly and courteous and neat! If we have any electrical work in the future, I will call Edd Helms immediately! They aren't the cheapest, but they definitely were the most knowledgeable and professional.

Good work for a reasonable price. Still miss Pete, my favorite electrician ever, but would use Edd Helms again & would recommend.

The work was done very professionally and clean. I had a problem with the power just short of 30 days later and a technician came out and repaired everything with a high level of concern. I am very satisfied with the service. The cost was a little more than expected, but I am confidant the quality of the work is 100%.

I've always been impressed with their professionalism. We've used them for AC as well as electrical.

I was under the impression that the inspection would tell me the issues that I have with my electricity. When I called for to schedule the inspection, that's when I was told that the inspection was visual only and would not necessarily tell me if something was wrong and why.

The work was done on a rental apartment we own. I contacted the company on a Saturday morning and by that afternoon someone was out to assess the situation. It was determined that the old unit was to far gone for repair and we decided to have a new one installed. We asked for the work to be done ASAP because we had renters in the Apartment, and since we are in Miami the afternoon temperatures were in the 80's. By Monday morning I was given a contract to sign and a permit was requested. The work was completed on Tuesday. It was effortless, and I couldn't be happier with their efficient and professional performance. This is the second time I have used Edd Helms to install a new air conditioner, both experiences have been positive.

EXCELLENT!!!! It ended up being cheaper than expected, they arrived promptly, were patient with all of the questions that a first time home owner would have about electrical concerns, explained everything in an easy to understand way, and it was quick! I will be calling back in the future and highly recommend Edd Helms Group, Inc.

I've used Edd Helms for a few years now to service and repair my A/C unit (central air). They are very professional, always on time and do a great job. Perhaps a little more expensive than others, but you really get what you pay for. I am very happy with them and will continue to use them in the future.

He also checked the wiring on a water heater which was replaced.

Went very well. Our tenant is happy.

Because of the high rating of Edd Helms Group in the list I made a phone call to see if they could help me with some electrical repairs in my home. The lady to whom I spoke, told me that they could made the work but 3 weeks from today. As you can imagine, an electrical repair can't wait 3 weeks for the technician to be available.

My technician, Jose, tested the usage for my a/c and determined that was running at 18+amps and was pulling more at start-up, causing my 20 amp circuit breaker to trip. He was able to take advantage of existing equipment to re-route the electrical supply for my a/c unit from a 20 amp to a 30 amp circuit breaker. Jose arrived on time and made very good use of the time he was working on my electrical issue. He had all of the parts/material needed on the truck, and the service was completed in less than 2 hours. He was very professional and left everything as clean and neat as he found it. I found that the cost for parts and labor was reasonable.

I have used this company for years for electrical work. They are honest and reasonable with regard to their charges. The repair people are well mannered and professional. I never fear getting ripped off by this company. First time used for a/c repair -- great job--- went to Angie's list because I was looking for a/c repair - did not know they handled a/c--- thank edd helms!!

The tech, Jose was very polite and professional. I had a huge list of items and he was able to handle each task and he always checked with me to make sure it was being done in a manner that I preferred, regarding placement etc.

They are wonderful and trustworthy. They are very competent and careful to work with.

Used them in the past - always show up when they say or earlier Not always the cheapest but reliable and professional and an office that answers the phone.

I was comfortable enough with Jay and his professionalism that I have requested he come back to install the light. While moving outlets he was careful of things I had around my kitchen and cleaned up when he was finished.

Terrible customer service. I called in Jan 2013 to purchase the Value program and filters for my AC. I had been a customer of theirs since 2008 when I purchased my AC Unit to them. Gave all my credit card info to the Sales rep. and forgot about it. This purchase was meant for a house that I owe and is rented. I told my tenant to expect the filters and that I had purchase the maintenance program (Value Program) They sent the filters. In May my unit had a problem, and I called for service and then realized that I was not enrolled in the Value Program. It seems that the sales rep "forgot" to sign me in, I was not charged either, but it is a bad thing thinking that you have some kind of service for peace of mind, and then realizing you did not. I had to pay for the service. $450 dlls This month I had a charge of $152 in my card, and called to ask what was this for, and was informed that it was for the filters because they never charged me for them. It seems that the sales rep was not paying much attention to the job! she not only forgot to sing me in for the Value program, also to charge the filters. I told Karin (the account. rep) I was talking to, about what happened in may when I realized that I was not signed for the program even though I requested the purchase of both the program and the filters in Jan.... and her answer was that she did not have any notes about it and therefore I was probably lying. Good to know that in this company the customer is never right and even more...FOR THEM, THE CUSTOMERS ARE LIARS

I was stood up. They called me late in the afternoon and said "sorry we missed you". It sounded like I was the one who wasn't home but that is not so. They wanted to reschedule but I told them I couldn't reschedule then. I called somebody else who was referred to me.
