Description of Work: Checked my light fixtures in the bedroom. Very high ceiling. Fixtures did not need to be replaced but they changed out the bulbs. Work perfectly now! The service person was prompt,effecient and the cost was perfect.

Description of Work: We paid for an estimate. It took repeated calls to get the estimate. Based on their advertised hourly rate and high user rating we were very interested in having them do our job. | |Weeks went by without the bid being provided. | |When we finally received the estimate it was more than $15,000 which is five times the price of the next highest bid and seven times as high as the average bid from other contractors.

Description of Work: Came to give an estimate and complained how the last customer did not listen to him, so now he is going to make him pay for that and charge him a ridiculous quote due to his stupidity and make a bigger commission. When I asked for a breakdown, he refused and the owner backed him up stating we have bigger jobs than yours and they will not waste their time. I asked for a break down in our quote of 2 new A/C units 4 & 5 ton installed AND new duct work. Due to the quote of $ 35,0000, yes $35K, I thought I may want to hold off on the duct work now. They would not quote me separately, only as a package AND THIS IS WHY I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM,

Description of Work: Called Helms because I didn't know if it was electrical problem or A/C problem and they do both. But they are entirely separate divisions so you still have to guess which you need. They sent a guy who said it was A/C issue and I needed a new compressor. Quoted me $2200 and said it would take 10 days to get it, which is unacceptable in Miami in August. Got quotes from 2 other companies for less than $1500 and they could do it in 2 days. Ended up paying $1200.

THEY DID A REALLY GOOD JOB. THEY CAME VERY QUICKLY. THEY WORKED VERY HARD TO GET THE LIGHTS TURNED ON AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THEY WERE ON THAT DAY. THEIR PRICE WAS VERY CHEAP. WE WERE VERY SATISFIED WITH THE JOB THAT THEY DID.
