Edd Helms Group Inc

Placed call to Edd Helms group electrical. Was then transferred to apparently someone who would be able to help me. The individual I was transferred to couldn't help. She then proceeded to transfer me to another representative. I thought I would speak to someone live but was instead transferred to someones voice mail. Decided to call back. I was able to speak to the customer rep. I told her about the voice mail I was transferred to and she said that the individual that it belong to no longer worked with the company. After explaining to her what happened she said she would connect me to someone who could help. She then put me on hold, but I was placed on hold for far too long. Hence my disappointment. I'm not comfortable doing business with this company.

I didnt use the deal. Very poor communication. I was being passed around to different employee voicemails and was even left on hold.

Both times I was very well pleased with everything. They are a very kind company and it has always been a pleasure to have around. The woman who runs the office is always a pleasure as well.

Nelson was very polite and helpful. He explained everything as he did it and made sure he did a thorough and professional job, all the way down to replacing screws on the faceplate to make sure it wasn't crooked. I'd definitely use them again. The best out of the 4 electricians I've used over the past year. Happy to have found a good one I can call again. Great pricing and service.

This was a service call, prompt, competent, helpful with information. He didn't try to sell me things I didn't need.

Contract proposal was high. Did not use this provider for work beyond a/c inspection.

I called Edd Helms Group a couple of days before and made an appointment for them to come out. They let me know they would be there between 10 and 2 p.m. The electrician came at 10:00 a.m., was very knowledgable and figured out and fixed my problem within half an hour. The electric outlet behind my dryer is now working perfectly. They also honored my 10% Off Angie's List coupon. I would definitely recommend them for any electrical work.

I thought it was outrageous that when I called Edd Helms AC and told them that my air conditioner was broken in Florida in August, they would not even tell me if they could come check it out or if they had any providers available that day unless they charged $150 on my credit card! I cannot believe that someone would charge me a significant sum of money without even coming to my home.

We were impressed all around with Edd Helms' quality of service. Starting with their receptionist, who was friendly and helpful. She arranged for an electrician to be at our home within 24 hours to fix a light switch. Our electrician, Brandon, quickly and professionally fixed our light switch. He even answered several other non-related electrical questions we had. He even have us advice on our dryer arrangement that he thought looked hazardous.

I called the company that installed the unit, since it was still under warranty. They gave me a non-specific appointment for the following day. The following day things got worse, so I called Edd Hems and they came promptly. The technician quickly found the problem, fixed it, and gave me instructions on how to avoid a possible recurrence.

I contacted the provider via Angie's List to have an estimate done. They responded to me the next day and also called me. We scheduled for them to come out a few days later to do the estimate because they had no openings. The sales guy came out to my house and was actually pretty rude and I found him to be rather unprofessional. He commented about my thermostat and how it's a "pain in the a**" (his words) and that I should've bought one from him instead. He then told me that they will have to move my air handler to another area because my closet is too small to house what they sell. Easy fix, though, he said. Just cutting some holes and blocking where the old unit was. Doesn't sound that easy to me because they could just put in another 2.5 ton 16 seer unit and call it a day. My house is 1225 sqft and I have a 12 year old 10 seer Rheem currently. Anything with higher efficiency than I currently have will still be a major improvement. Then we discussed replacing my air ducts. They don't necessarily need replaced OR rerouted. A good scrub ought to do it and maybe some extra filtration. On to the condenser. It's on a slab that's not level, but after 35 years, concrete with weigh on it tends to settle. He mentioned pouring a new slab but I don't really think that's necessary. Overall, this supposedly is an easy job. It will only take 4 days' worth of work. FOUR DAYS! While I do appreciate that they'll pull permits, it's just an added cost especially since I could just have a lateral replacement and not even have to sweat the permit part. The salesman will draft a quote and I should hear back from him in 5 days. That's a long time! We didn't talk any hard numbers but he mentioned a 21 SEER Trane unit costing 7000+. I'm interested in seeing what his quote looks like, but for now, I'm not terribly impressed. A major rule in sales is to not insult your potential customer. The thermostat is one thing, but insulting my choice of car while talking his up is a bit uncalled for. But hey, at least the guy showed up on time.

When I called, the office staff was very nice and helpful. They also called the day before to confirm the appointment time. The repairman, Tom, called in the morning to let me know he was already driving to the house. Tom showed up on time. He was very professional and friendly. He investigated the problem and fixed it very fast. I was very impressed with him. I think that their cost was very inexpensive. I would have expected the cost to be greater for the service he provided. He also asked me if I was an Angie's list member so that he can give me an additional 10% off. I will absolutely call Edd Helms electric again for any and all electrical repairs in the future and will recommend them to my friends! I will probably ask for Tom if I had the choice.

Excellent work. They returned all of my phone calls and emails promptly and the gentleman who came to service our condominium was very helpful and professional.

Unit was found to be broken on July 3rd. The service team from Edd Helms came in that afternoon (before July 4th) and gave an estimate; Started the paperwork for the permit and proceeded to work with the condo to get all of the paperwork done. By the next week a new AC was installed. Everyone was professional, helpful and courteous. Excellent service and work.

They did a fine job. I will recommend them to other people. The reason why I will not give them an “A” is because they are more expensive than the other companies. But as far as their work is concerned, they do a great job.

I would definitely call Edd Helms again-they know what they're doing and show up when they promise. I highly recommend them!

Very professional. My pool heater wasn't working, they came out and arrived within the time they said they would. The technician looked at the unit and explained what was wrong, how much it would cost and approximately how long it would take. I was very satisfied with the work but he surprised me by then resetting all my pool pump equipment so as to get it to work again now that the pool heater had been fixed! He really went above and beyond. I have since used them again for an AC issue and was left just as happy after that experience as I was with this one.

Office was polite. Service on time, pleasant, efficient.

Electrician was on time, friendly and helpful. Gave great advice on how to save money.

A/C quit working, called Ed Helms, 6 hours later, it was working again.

I use Helms for both my A/C and electric needs. They are always friendly and professional. Over 2 days. the tech installed 2 new circuits to service my new (and larger) tankless water heater. When I called the second day I was fitted into the schedule so I could have hot water that day. The tech was very friendly and knowledgable (as are the staff).

Could not be happier with Edd Helms service. Called and got an appointment for the next day. Electrician called ahead and let me know when he'd be at my house, arrived on time and did an excellant job resolving my problem He also took the time to explain what he found and what he did to resolve it. Have saved their phone # as I would definitely use EH again
