The work turned out to be great. They were on time. They cleaned up well. When we called them in October due to some problem; I cannot remember exactly what it was, they came right away, checked it out and it was fine. I thought they were very professional. The guy who came to give the estimate was professional and even the workers were professional. I would use their services again in the future.

Very friendly, prompt on the phone with Mary and when electrician came to house. Paid for one hour call and fixed orig problem promptly and had 40 minutes left to check the other small problems.

They were pretty good. They were on time and did all those proper things. The only thing I didn't like was they didn't give me options. They just kind of said that I had to go with this particular unit and since then I found out that there are other brands that are cheaper. That was a surprise but they were pretty good.

In a service oriented industry, charging $94 for an estimate when the project is already outlined and the customer knows what needs to be done is a bit ridiculous. I understand that time is money, but money up front for a piece of paper is no way to do business. I wouldn't have minded paying a fee if I chose this company to complete the work AFTER the estimate, but definitely not before. On top, was on hold for 15 minutes while waiting for the girl to find someone to speak to me and then being passed around to 5 different people who did not deal with Electrical work.

Best AC company I have hired to date. Would recommend as top notch.

They did a great job. I called them and they came out right away and repaired the problem quickly.

see above story - If I had not gotten a 2nd opinion, Ed Helms would have ripped me off over $2000 selling and installing a compressor that I did not need. The compressor works fine and simply had a fauty wire. AND, the guy tried to tell me that I should install a whole new unit and not just replace the compressor. The whole unit is 6 yrs old!

The guy that came first was punctual and accommodating, but he was not friendly. He had an attitude. He did his job though. The second guy came and spoke to my office manager. She told me that the guy seemed to be more knowledgeable.

They were really very good. They would come when they say they are going to come. They did exactly what I needed them to do. He knew what the whole problem was and he had the whole thing fixed up in less than an hour. The workers were great. They were dressed in a nice uniform. They were very professional and polite. They were great. They did a very good job and I would recommend them to my friends. I would use their services again in the future.

The team at Edd Helms was very professional from the receptionist to the pro on the job. They were courteous, prompt, and knowledgeable. I would use them again with confidence.

It was a pleasure to work with Edd Helm Electric and their electrician. Their electrician, Dan, was professional, efficient, and truly took an interest in our electrical problem. We highly recommend this company and the electrician sent to do the work. When the electrician looked at the installation of our electrical panel he determined that the improper installation (done by the condo representative) created a safety issue that needed immediate attention. The panel needed to be replaced and he and the company determined that it should be done immediately. He sacrificed time with his own family for our families' safety. Although a long process and beginning late in the day, the electrician felt it imperative to do the work immediately and worked late into the evening to complete the work. He was a true professional. We will definitely call Edd Helms Electric when need electrical assistance.

They have been wonderful. This is the third or fourth time we have had them out. There is a different service person that comes out each time. They are very polite, nice and efficient. They had excellent grades online. I spent over $1000 for the compressor and labor, but it was a fair price for the amount of time the technician was here. He was here for two days. He diagnosed the problem on the first day. He then worked on getting it ready for the compressor which he picked up the following day and then put it in. They have been very good. Their quality was very good. I called them early in the morning and they gave me a 9 o?clock appointment and he was here at 9. That?s very good for down here. I would use their services in the future too.

They sent him out the very next day. They gave me a two hour window from 10-12 and they got here at 10:15. I had an absolutely wonderful experience with them! They were very easy to deal with and I was very pleased with them.

My experience was beyond wonderful! They were prompt and courteous.

The salesman came out and was professional. He explained to me about the different systems and his company. However, he tried to up-sell me a number of different services/products as well, some of which I came to find out I didn?t really need and would have ultimately been a waste of money. That is the nature of a salesman though so I didn?t really hold it against him?it is my decision whether or not I choose to purchase any additional services/products that he offers me so I didn?t lower the company?s overall rating tremendously, as result. This may be my cynical attitude towards salesman to begin with so take what you want from my overall rating! The estimate was also the highest price we received which he had indicated it would be as their employees belong to a union. Given the routine nature of the service, I couldn?t substantiate forking over an additional $600 (price difference between his lowest quote and the company we ended up using) for using this company for my installation.

The lights in several rooms of our rented duplex were dimming in and out. Mr. Kelly called it power fluctuation. I contacted Edd Helm A/C and Electric to see if someone would come out to the property. I spoke with Mr. Kelly and he took the time to explain what the causes might be. After he gave me his valuable time he advised that I contact FP&L to see if it the problem might be with their equipment to save the expenses he would charge me if someone came to the property. Thank you Mr. Kelly for your time, consideration, and care! I will be calling in the future and will refer Edd Helm for electrical services. Top-notch company with a lot of professionalism.

He has an excellent, knowledgeable staff, response time and price. They are totally trustworthy. The system is holding up wonderfully.

Electrition arrived on time, worked efficiently (price is based on hourly rate) and left the area neat and clean. I have used this company in the past and have always been very satisfied with their work.

From the beginning, when the salesman came to the house to talk about the different types of units, to the very end when they were finished installing the unit, this company was1st Class!! Everything was detailed, everything was explained, everyone came right on time to do their job etc. Even when one of their electrician experts came a couple of days later to finish the job and make the job to code, the professionalism that was shown was exceptional. I HIGHLY recommend this company!!

A very positive experience. The estimate was lower than other bidders. The gentleman who came out to give me the estimate was very knowledgeable and pointed some issues that were overlooked/not mentioned by the other bidders. The installers were professional and pleasant. I highly recommend Edd Helms Air Conditioning & Electric.

This was my very first Angie's List experience. They seemed professional enough on the phone. When they confirmed 12-2 today for a diagnostic and service call on my not-functioning compressor, I assumed that all would be fixed this afternoon. They called at 1:25 to say they were "running behind and I was next". When I asked what time "next" would be, I was told "no later than 3PM. I left my home at 3:15 with a small window unit cooling at least one bedroom, and called my office's repair service to come tomorrow. What a waste of time.

Almost perfect. Great electrician, job done well with courtesy. My only negative experience was that he arrived several hours earlier than expected and I did not receive a phone call prior to his arrival. When I made the orginal appointment the person I spoke to told me that I would receive a phone call just before arrival.

This company has great reviews, which prompted me to call them to have my AC checked. They took my information, set-up the appointment, but never showed up. When I called to find out if the technician was coming, I was told that "I wasn't in the system." Thanks for an extra, unnecessary day without AC.

The estimate given was price paid. The technicians were prompt courteous and professional..Clean up was complete and thorough. The additional warranty time had to be sent in by company performing installation which I had to request them to do.

Mathew (name of the technician) arrived on time -8am- and started to work immediately.The only time he stopped was to get some more wire. He was trying to minimize the time we were without eletricity. He finished at 4pm and you could not even tell that he worked for 8 hours outside our house. Everything was cleaned up. There was no parts, papers or small bits of wire laying around. The worksite on the house was neat and clean and everthing works well.
