Description of Work: clean out two blocked toilets. #1 had a wash clothes in it. He needed to take off toilet and replace wax ring on a Saturday. #2 he had to come back with a second worker on Monday, because toilet was a one piece and too heavy for him alone. Considering it was a Saturday and he had to come back with a second worker on Monday, it might have been fair, but I felt it was expensive, but good work.

Description of Work: The condominium below me reported that I had a possible leak in my shower pan. Bay Plumbing made every possible inspection to determine if I had a leak and where it might be coming from. I ended up not having a leak but it was a slow process (through no fault of Bay Plumbing) to make that determination. It was expensive because of the number of hours involved, but not as expensive as having to replace a shower pan drain. |

Description of Work: We had a bad kitchen faucet that leaked terribly. After having another company come to the house and state the obvious (that the faucet was leaking), Bay plumbing came and replaced the entire faucet and angle stop to the sink. |The price was steep because it was replaced on the weekend. However we had no choice due to how bad the leak was.

Description of Work: Our initial contact was regarding a clogged bathroom drain pipe in our very old (1926) house. Nick (the plumber) evaluated the problem and gave us a range of options. We chose the most expensive (high quality, permanent) repair - which also turned out to be a re-engineering project to avoid having the repairs to the stack pipe damage the brand-new roof that we'd had put in and to minimize the necessary punching through the interior wall. | |We were minimally inconvenienced by the work process and were so pleased with the final result that we started him working on a more serious drain problem in our upstairs bathroom on the other side of the house - and that became an even more complicated re-engineering project involving the drain pipes for our old cast iron tub, the commode, and the bathroom basin. Again, Nick avoided damaging the new roof around the other stack pipe. He repaired/replaced major components of the drain system while doing minimal damage to the upstairs bathroom wall as well as the (directly) downstairs bathroom ceiling. While he was making repairs, we decided on replacing the old commode and basin fixtures with new ones. Nick integrated those into the repairs perfectly. | |We are delighted with the appearance and functionality of our repaired bathrooms.
