The job was done well and they had also cleaned up well. We had to call them back regarding the leak in the family room. They had come again promptly and had taken care of it. I have no complaints about them.

When the rainy season began, it started raining in my bedroom. I called A. Palmer Roofing and got a call back right away. I made an appointment for the following week for someone to come and inspect the roof. I was told a repair would last only a few months and a total replacement would last for years. I was sent an estimate, approved it & got the ball rolling. The only delay was due to the daily heavy rainfall. As soon as the rains stopped, the workers showed up with the materials, The rain started again and we had to work between rainfalls. It probably took between 3 and 4 days of work to complete. They pulled permits and inspections were performed. It was all done above board.

I have a two-level house, so it was a unique situation where I could actually see the job that they were doing out of my window. Most of the other people who have roofing done have to trust the roofer to do a good job because they cannot see the job that is being done. Once the job started, things were going well. That is, until the underlayment paper was put down and the tiles were delivered. The tiles were delivered in batches/piles in random places on the roof due to poor advanced planning. The workers decided that the best way to move the piles of tiles to the proper places on the roof was to drag them on the roof. Dragging a 100 pound pile of tiles on a roof left major scorch marks on the paper, and seemingly defeated the purpose of doing the extra asphalt ?mopping.? In addition, they left nails on the roof while they were working (which I told them about because stepping on the nails could puncture the paper). They told me that I was ?making up? the issue of the nails (even though I saw the nails right outside my window), and they told me that their workers had years of experience with tiles, so dragging the tiles did not matter. I have attached pictures so you can see exactly what they did (as it was happening) and the marks that were left. When I told Mr. Palmer and his assistant about my intent to file a report on Angies List, both told me that the job took a lot of wood (which they charged me an additional $2500 for). I am not sure why taking a lot of wood (which I paid for) excused the problems that they caused with the paper. I asked Mr. Palmer why they did not deliver the tiles in the right place so they would not have to drag them after the paper had been mopped, but he had no answer. Rather than take responsibility for the problem, they tried to convince me that I should not worry. They told me that they would extend my warrantee from 10 years to 12 years, but they gave me no evidence of this issue. In addition, the weakening of the paper usually haunts most people after about 15 years. The work done today can make the difference between a roof that lasts 10 years and one that lasts 20 years. I have attached the comments of Mr. Palmer?s assistant: ?As per Angie's List, I am confident that we did an excellent job and time will prove it. We made it a point to have our best guys on your job. The flashing work was personally directed and inspected by myself. We did research on the product we installed and made sure to install as per the manufactures and inspectors direction. Andrew and Myself personally inspected the wood replaced on your roof which was extensive. We had our inhouse carpenters work on your home. There was not one shortcut on your whole job. We provided the best possible service. Responded to your calls immediately and look forward to continuing to provide you service shall any warranty issues arise.? The experience was painless and professionally handled from start to finish. The quality of the work was outstanding, with excellent clean up afterwards.

I have had repeated leaks in the roof since they replaced it. They have came out each time and fixed the leak, but if the roof had been done correctly to begin with, this wouldn't keep happening.

They were very willing to come and cover a leak in garage until got fixed, they were early which is a good thing. They are going to come and put a new roof in November. They suggested since in hurricane season is now to wait until after.

They did a great job! They did the job differently than the original estimate, they looked at it and refunded me the difference. They were honest and very willing and understanding.

In June, made a contract to make some temporary repairs to stop a leak over the garage and to do a complete re-roof in November when the rainy season ended and when there would be less threat of a hurricane. However, because of additional leaks in other parts of the house, it was mutually decided to start the complete re-roof in early October. The job was completed at the end of October. All went well.

They did exactly what I wanted done with my roof. As the job progressed, their workers were great. They arrived as agreed, did the job with no complaints, and cleaned up the area better than expected. While this company may not be the cheapest in terms of price, the total job and value makes this a great value.

They were prompt and did exactly what they said they would. They replaced rotten wood, and they were very professional. Great job.

A Palmer Roofing was fairly priced and his quality of workmanship is very good. I had two or three other companies that could not fix the leak but Andy could. That makes him worth recommending in my book.

A Palmer Roofing might have been a little expensive but they really did a great job fixing my leak. I think they went the extra mile and were very helpful to me. I can see they are very experienced at roofing.

The job went very smoothly from the time I contacted the company (my phone call was promptly returned, someone came out right away to inspect the roof and I was sent a competitive estimate within a few days) to the time the job was completed. Mr. Palmer told me how long the project would take and that was how long it took. The workers seemed professional and were very tidy. My roof looks great and relatives who know about roofing tell me that the job appears to have been done very, very well.

Palmer was the lowest bid out of the three people for the job I found from Angie's List, they did a very good job. They arrived on time, were pleasant and did a good job.

They were very professional from start to finish. Their initial quote was the highest of the three I obtained but they adjusted it to be more in line with the others. They showed up when they said they would, did what they said they were going to do, and did a terrific job of cleaning up after they were finished. Mike did a great job of handling the items on my punch list and said the job was not finished until I was completely satisfied. Even after I was completely satisfied, he found a couple of things and had his guys come back and correct them to his satisfaction. At no time did they ever try to charge me for the few additional items that they repaired or try to sell me anything I didn't need. I was completely satisfied, would use them again and would recommend them highly to others.

Joanne was prompt in calling to schedule an appointment for estimate. Estimator came on time. Jose scheduled roof repair and it was completed within a week of estimate. Roofers completed job within a day and cleaned up. I'm very satisfied with their work.

THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB, THEY CAME WHEN THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO AND THEY CLEANED UP. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

I have four roof leaks. They want $95 for an estimate and 2 and 1/2 months before they can repair it. I would rather do it myself. They are probably a good company and that's why they have a backlog.

I left a phone message for this company on 7/13/06 to call for a job based on recommendation from Angie's List. I have not received a return call as of 8/4/06. They could at least return the call.

He never showed up and never called.
