The company had repaired leaks in my 1996 barrel tile roof after the 2005 hurricane season. Other leaks occurred with the recent hurricane, so I decided to go with a metal roof. I knew that barrel tile roofs do not prevent rain infiltration onto the underlayment, allowing water flows into valleys to erode the underlayment, causing the leaks and rot. The code underlayment quoted (2 separate layers) is more robust now, but I ordered at extra cost an even more robust underlayment. The company contact was more than helpful in arranging for "custom" installation. The installation team was meticulous in doing the custom work, very professional, the company contact checked in every day, my property was cleaner when they left, the office answered all my inquiries within 24 hours, a real homeowner-friendly contractor. If I lived further inland, I have no doubt I would have been equally happy with the standard installation.

Jose and Joanne explained process, steps, and timelines very well. Jose help us choose the perfect tile color to best complement the house paint color and trim. The crews were efficient, timely, dependable, polite, and extremely debris conscious. They are amazing. The roof looks terrific and has demonstrated no issues or problems. We are completely happy with the work and will continue to have the company inspect, monitor, and service as needed.

I am very satisfied with the job A. Palmer Roofing did in replacing the shingle roof and the flat roof on the patio. I obtained proposals from five roofers. I selected Palmer because: 1) They were highly rated on Angie's List. 2) Although not the lowest price, their price was competitive. 3) All work is performed by their employees. They don't use sub-contractors. 4) When trying to make a final selection, they were helpful in providing a list of homes where they had recently completed installations. We began the process to replace the roof in March 2017 and signed a contract for a tile roof in May 2017. We paid the deposit but decided to wait until after the hurricane season before having a new rood installed. We changed our minds and revised the contract to install a shingle roof. We initially worked with Reuben and then with Jose. They were helpful throughout the process and answered many questions we had. We ordered GAF Timberline Ultra HD shingles which was a special order. Palmer started the job in early March. Once they started, their crew showed up every day. My neighbors have had experiences with roofers where the crew shows up for a day or two and then does not come back for a week. This drags out the project. This certainly was not the case with Palmer. The crew did an excellent job of cleaning up at the end of each day. Palmer uses a truck to remove the old roofing material, not a dumpster. The real measure of the performance of a contractor is how a problem is handled. The roofing supplier miscalculated the number of bundles needed for our roof and shorted the delivery. Palmer discover the problem when the shingles were put on. Since our shingles were special ordered, Palmer had to go out of their way to find the additional shingles needed. The rest of the shingles were delivered within two weeks and the crew was here the next day to finish the job.

Andy provided excellent service and communication. We were interrupted by Hurricane Irma, but Andy got us ready before the storm hit. His workers were on time and tidy. I highly recommend A Palmer Roofing. They did a great job.

I've talked to them once or twice and they don't seem to care for small business owners. They seem to only care about larger jobs and are always too busy and are overpriced.

We had hired A. Palmer Roofing, Inc. for several jobs over many years to maintain/repair old roof. When it became apparent that it was time to replace the entire roof we went directly to this company. If you are lucky to get Mr. Jose Faria, as your Project Manager, you will be in excellent hands. Mr. Faria spent a lot of time getting us ready for this major renovation. He ordered many samples of tile and completely apprised us of the timelines for each phase of this project. Upon execution of the contract, he took care of all the paperwork for the official permit and coordinated all necessary inspections with the building department. All inspections passed first time. During demo of the existing roof it became apparent that much of the plywood base was rotted. All rotted plywood, including wood in horizontal/vertical surfaces, surrounding roof, was replaced. Two types of underlayment, galvanized metal sheeting, new lead stacks to all plumbing pipes, 13" concrete tile was installed. Mr. Faria coordinated the detachment/reattachment of the pool cage with a separate subcontractor. There was a couple of different crews working on this project. One group handled the demo and second crew installed the new tile/trims etc. It was an amazing amount of manpower and each day, they came to the house around 7:30 a.m. in the morning and were working right up to early evening. These crews were focused on our house and were not being moved around to other projects until they were finished with us. I think our new roof looks absolutely beautiful. We have received many compliments from neighbors on how it turned out and the workmanship, they observed, going into it.

Exorbitant price. Fast response for the estimate. Kept making appointmentS to come fix the problem and not showing up, and NOT notifying me that they were not coming to the work site. I even got on the phone with them explaining that when they tell me they are coming "tomorrow" between certain hours, this is what happens: I stay home waiting for them, I keep the dogs inside, I keep the gates open, and most importantly, I WAIT for them. My explanation did not stir the agent in the least, he just said, ok, we will be there "tomorrow" EVENTUALLY, they came and did a great roof repair. Is everyone in Miami ok with this utter lack of respect for people's time? Is it like in other countries where tomorrow does not mean tomorrow?It just means NOT TODAY FOR SURE. Go figure how we can be a productive economy with such operational methods.

Excellent! Roofing technician kept me informed every step of the way and the end product was very clean and neat. Very professional and will use them again. Their quoted was price was also very competitive as to the other quotes I obtained.

The job occurred almost exactly when promised. The A. Palmer staff has great communication skills and talked to us, sometimes daily. We knew from the beginning that there might be other work needed once the re-roofing began. We got calls, photos and estimates in a timely manner. No problem with permits. All in all a very good experience.

On May 17, I contracted with Palmer Roofing to repair a leak, seal, and coat a rusted valley, and remove or repair broken tiles on the area of my roof surrounding a pipe that extends from roof to ground on the right side of my house. I was home when the repairman came Wednesday, May 25. He spent approximately 45 minutes on my roof. He left without any commentary or any indication he had done the work specified in the contract. I questioned whether the work contracted had been met and asked Palmer Roofing for "before and after" pictures of my roof and the area affected. I received some twelve photos, unidentified, before and after photos of "my" roof. I told the owner I would take my own pictures of the roof and did so May 31 to confirm the work had been done. The photos I took in no way resemble the photos the owner of Palmer Roofing sent me. There is still discoloration, large cracks, broken tiles. and a dirty, rusted valley. I had already complained to owner May 27. He reacted emotionally, by email, to suggestions of fraud, yet he offered to refund my entire deposit and claimed I was a difficult client. May 31, however, he emailed, asking to inspect the roof and make corrections. When I told him I did not want further contact with Palmer Roofing, just my deposit back, he promised as yet unfulfilled restitution on my Visa card. In fact, he drove by my house uninvited May 31 and was trying to take more pictures of my roof from the sidewalk as I discussed my problem with an Angie's List representative, who heard my exchange with the owner. Why he would try to take more pictures is open to debate. I found his behavior threatening. I am currently waiting for a refund from Palmer Roofing. I have asked my city inspectors to look at area as well in order to verify that, as of May 31, my roof remains un-repaired. I will have photos taken by two independent sources to support my claim that Palmer Roofing failed to meet its contractual obligations.

I am very happy with the workmanship of the workers (Luis and David). The definitely new what they were doing!!! They payed attention to detail and were very professional in talking with me. They made sure to replace some moldings on the porch which were affected by the replacement of the fascia and even painted the drip edge which I was not expecting. I was very surprised and pleased with their attention to detail. Because of the weather they had two come back two times (within the same week) to finish the work and they came back when they said they would. I am extremely happy with my experience with A Palmer Roofing and would definitely recommend this company.

They were 100% professional. They were timely and very clean. Their price was very competitive. Also when I showed them an estimate that was a bit lower they went ahead and matched it. The roof came out beautiful and I couul not be happier! I hardly ever recommend anyone but with Palmer Roofing I'm totally confidant to do so.

A Palmer Roofing was great through the whole process. They are extremely professional. Jose really spent time with me discussing the choice of tile and some design concerns. He kept me constantly updated and responded quickly to all my questions. I really appreciate good communication from a provider and I got that. Jose worked with me to really understand my scope of work and made every effort to keep the cost down. His two guys showed up, and knocked out the work like true professionals. Jose kept me informed the entire time. Have met quite a few roofers, and these guys are by far the best I've experienced. Highly recommend.

The company was a pleasure to work with. The people were courteous, neat, and explained the contract to me. The work was done in a timely manner and they came back on a recall about 6 months later when I had a small problem.

Before having our roof replaced, we obtained estimates from five companies. For years, water had ponded on the flat roof over our Florida Room, and we stressed to each roofing company that it was very important that no water pond after that portion of the roof was replaced. Four of the companies acknowledged our request for no standing water, but nothing in the job description or estimate they provided specifically addressed the issue. One of the companies even tried telling us that by code, water than remains for less than 72 hours was not considered to be standing. That may be the building code's idea of no standing water, but it certainly was not ours. When Andrew of A. Palmer Roofing came to provide an estimate, he listened to our concerns and immediately provided a detailed description of how the ponding issue would be addressed. He described how tapered insulation would be used to create a slope and prevent ponding of water. When he gave us his estimate, it was not the cheapest nor the most expensive of those we had obtained, but it was reasonable and it specifically included the tapered insulation to prevent ponding, so we signed with A. Palmer Roofing for our roof replacement. Andrew provided us with several booklets of roofing tiles, and when we had narrowed our choice to three types, he had samples shipped to us so we could see them in person. That turned out to be an important step, as the tile we initially thought we wanted turned out to be smaller than it appeared in the booklet, and we went with a different tile. We had to wait several weeks for the work to start, but based on the quality of work that A. Palmer does, it's not surprising that they have a great deal of work lined up. When the work started, Andrew himself kept us informed as to when each step of the process would occur, and he stopped by often to check on the work. Our yard is heavily landscaped, and although we fully expected to lose some foliage around the house, Andrew's crews were careful and no plants were lost. We have a lot of keystone tiles lining the steps and walkways in our yard, and we asked Andrew to have his crews be careful with them. He said they would cover our steps with plywood, and they did as promised. One tile did end up getting broken but Andrew immediately said he would replace it. When his worker replaced the tile, he took some of the grout and used in it gaps between other tiles, some of which were nowhere near the broken tile. Andrew's crews were punctual, hard working and respectful. In addition to being careful with our landscaping, they were so considerate that they even put cardboard under the engines of their trucks so they would get no oil on our driveway bricks. We were home while most of the work was performed, and the crews rarely needed to speak with us. They knew what needed to be done and how to do it, and they worked diligently from the start of the work day until they left. Andrew kept us informed as each step of the permitting process occurred, and explained in detail what was happening. We had never heard of a "Pull Test," but because Andrew took the time to explain all the steps involved with permitting, we now know a great deal about the many steps required to get a new roof properly permitted. In all honesty, the job took longer than we expected, but that was because of the weather. June and July were extremely wet months, and the work on our roof could not commence until the weather cooperated. Any time we would think that the job was taking longer than expected, all we had to do was look at the weather forecast, where we would see rain, rain and more rain. If time is an issue for you, don't do like we did and have your roof replaced at the peak of the rainy season. It's important to note, however, that despite persistent summer rains while our roof replacement was underway, we did not get a single drop of rain inside. We had heavy rains after the roofing material was down but the tiles had not yet been installed, and still no leaks occurred. As our roofing job neared completion, we looked on Angie's List and realized we had not seen that A. Palmer Roofing offers a coupon for $500 off of a complete roof replacement. We mentioned it to Andrew, prepared to hear him say that the coupon has to be tendered at the time the contract is signed for it to be honored. Instead, he responding by deducting $500 from our final invoice. In summary, A. Palmer Roofing is an outstanding roofing company and we highly recommend them. Andrew himself is knowledgeable, personable, and totally professional. Sometimes companies don't reflect their owner, but in Andrew's case, it does, and his crews obviously share his work ethic. You can't go wrong choosing A. Palmer Roofing for your roofing job.

I called Andy Palmer in June to have an estimate. I asked for different estimates before, they are not the cheapest one but I had heard great feedback about them. I am very picky and I can tell you that I was very happy with everything. In June, we planned that they would start the roof on July 29. The crew was there exactly on that day which is very professional (you don't see that a lot in Miami). They were very careful to clean everything each day. They covered my pool,.. Everyday when they left, it was clean. Andy kept us posted all the time, great communication, very professional. We knew exactly what was going to be done next,.. They also put 2 vents on my roof. They started July 29 and they were done August 20 (with final inspection,...), about 3 weeks. I can tell you that I had many contractors before and had so many problems.. I felt that with A. Palmer, it was easy. I am a real estate agent and I will recommend they to my clients.

After reviewing roofers I called this company because of the high ratings and their close proximity to my house. The agent arrived at the appointed time, we discussed and looked at the interior area that was leaking, age of the roof (post hurricane Andrew roof,) roofing materials, patio screening, and rotten wood replacement after which the agent inspected the roof. Two proposals were submitted - one for leak repair and one for a new roof. The prices quoted are in the range of what I expected. Based on the agent's opinion that the roof has some life still in it I decided to have the leak fixed now and will go ahead with a new roof after hurricane season ends. I met again with an agent, reviewed revised pricing for both jobs, discussed the wood and beamed patio ceiling and screening, once again, and signed paperwork for going forward with a new roof including a new ventilation method. I also signed paperwork for the permitting process and gave them a deposit. We looked at samples of roofing shingles and I was later sent addresses so I can go look at the various colors installed on roofs. Since the repairs were done the roof has not leaked but the agent said that if it did they would be back out to take care of the roof. Everyone I have spoken with and or met with has been pleasant and professional and I have had no complaints. I will file another report once the new roof goes is completed.

My existing roof was twenty years old and developing leaks in several areas. Because of the roof?s age, I was also looking at a mandated replacement in order to retain my Citizens windstorm coverage. I was familiar with Andrew Palmer Roofing, because it?s a local company and I had used them to replace some damaged fascia boards a year or so ago. They did an excellent job replacing the fascia at a fair price. Needing a new roof, I called Andrew for an estimate. I had an idea of the price range based on information from neighbors. Andrew?s estimate was more than fair. As a result, I decided to go ahead and use Palmer Roofing without getting any other estimates. I have no regrets. Although there was a four-week waiting period before they could start the job, they started right on time to the day, and despite some rainy weather, finished in four or five days. Andrew, who is very hands on and professional, stopped by every day to monitor the progress and oversee the quality of the work. In addition, he provided relevant updates by email or phone. The finished job, which included new, primed, cedar fascia to replace rotting boards, was excellent, both in terms of the workmanship and the aesthetics. Based on the quality of the work and the fair pricing, I highly recommend this company. Andrew Palmer is a consummate professional, who cares about his customers. He is a terrific person to do business with.
