Great Electrician knew his stuff very courtess and clean with work and explained everything well arrived on Time aftter he called .

They were excellent! They were punctual and professional, and the overall experience was wonderful! I?d definitely use them again. I had him install a few light fixtures and they look great. However, there was an extra fee for his gas! ( That was the first time I've ever heard that one.)

The two technicians Dan and Gabriel were very polite, prompt, efficient, courteous and knowledgeable. Answered all our questions. Cleaned up all of their work areas. Mr Pingston was very helpful on several phone calls in the process of setting up the work. We are going to upgrade our main CB panel and will use them again.

I just want to say that this company is great. they were so responsive. I called and they sent someone out right away. Unfortunately I got a much more competitive price meanwhile and was sad that I couldn't give them the job because they where so professional.

The service was good. They did an electrical fan repair, replaced some light switches, and installed a new door bell. I would use them again.

I just had a home inspection and needed to correct a situation in my electrical panel - a double tapped breaker. I originally hired a local handyman who never showed up or called. I called Pingston and in as little as one hour on a Saturday, they sent a technician to correct the problem. The Electrician was very polite and professional and quickly fixed my breaker. The dispatcher called me before the technician arrived and later to confirm the work had been done to my satisfaction. I was very impressed with my experience. The service was prompt, professional and I appreciated the good communication. I would certainly use this company again and recommend to others.

The associate, Dan, was prompt professional, cleaned area when he finished. Dan was knowledgeable, and responded to all of our questions and concerns. We will keep his card for future and any electrical problems.....

It took about 4 hours. All the work was exactly what we wanted. Pingston will return when our new kitchen cabinets are installed to connect the under-cabinet lighting. Dan was pleasant and efficient.

I called John and they were able to get to me the same day. Dan called before he came as I requested. Showed when he said he would and found and repaired the problem. We even had time for him to figure out what light was being controlled by a switch I referred to as the mystery switch. We were so happy we walked around and he gave us ideas on outside security lighting and low level decorative lighting. We would happily use them again and refer them to our friends

First two outlets were installed timely and without incident. Third outlet was in the covered patio area and required cutting out stucco/plywood to installed an outlet box to maintain a "slim look". Electrician traced the outlet box and then cut into the stucco/plywood. Upon removing the stucco/plywood, there was a 2x4 almost directly in the way....not good! This could have been avoided by checking for the stud locations from the inside of the house rather than assuming there was not a stud behind the area picked for the outlet based of the location of a nearby window. Once the mistake was discovered, I went inside and knocked on the walls and I could tell that there was a stud where he had cut out the stucco... Unfortunately, I put my trust in the electrician even though my instinct as he started cutting was that he had not checked properly. End result was about an extra hour spent cutting out a portion of the stud to fit the electrical box and an extra one hour/$85 labor charge. I was also charged $153 for 3 GFI tamper resistent/weatherproof 15amp outlets, one plastic outlet box, and the wires used to connect the outdoor outlets to the adjacent indoor outlets. Those materials I could have purchased for about $100, so there was a markup on the prices of the materials used for the work performed. I supplied the outlet covers.

John and his crew replaced the panel and performed some needed safety repairs. He started and finished the job quicker than I expected. We purchased an older home, and I really appreciated how John walked me through everything and explained what needed to be done. I will use his company again for future electrical issues.

Mr. Pingston did the inspection gave me a written proposal and contract which was concise and to the point. His crew was on time and completed all the work ahead of schedule and cleaned up the scene.

Three employees showed up. Very professional, prompt,and got the job done by early afternoon. Cleaned up everything nothing left behind.

They did my entire kitchen plus changed out my Electric panel! They were absolutely awesome! Very honest! Very reliable! And Very good!

He came and did what he said he would do, but by the time he left, I was worried because my situation was completely misrepresented, as far as what my responsibilities would be. He told me the main circuit box was completely out of date. He said, in no certain terms, that if my house caught fire, because of the old circuit breaker, the insurance I have would not pay for it. He wanted about $3000 to switch it out. I told him I wanted to think about it, and looked into it a little further. It turned out that was a complete misrepresentation.

John was so pleasant to work with. He is always concerned with costs and shops around to get the best deal. I cannot say enough about his professionalism and work performance of him and his crews.

I had two service calls with Pingston. The first was due to sparking in the cabinet below my electric cooktop. This was due to a short caused by the cheap connector into the box causing it to saw through the wire and short it. This was a $100 service call, which I thought was reasonable. This SHOULD have caused the circuit breaker to trip, but did not. I had a Federal Pacific panel, which have very well known problems. So my house could have burned down before any breaker tripped. I had heard about this 10 years ago but did nothing. It turns out Pingston was having an angie's list special on service panel replacement. So I bought it. The special was very specific about what it covered, and mentioned specific upgrades and prices. I did need several of those, e.g. higher amp box , additional grounding. On both occasions I had the same service tech. Mr Pingston did come out to check out the service panel before the replacement. On all occasions everyone was on time or a little early. The first service call took about half an hour. The service panel replacement and the associated work took about six hours, what they said it would. Of course, the replacement box was bigger than the original, which caused some issues. The city inspector obviously had a good working relationship with the tech. He checked all of the work. I don't believe anything that was done (for example, the extra grounding) was 'make work'. The inspector specifically looked for the grounding. Considering the amount of time involved and the quality of the work, I thought the price was very reasonable. I will use them again for future work. ANYONE HAVING A FEDERAL PACIFIC SERVICE PANEL SHOULD GET IT REPLACED. There are millions out there. From what I was able to read, they have about a 25% chance of not doing their job. That is, they won't trip when they are supposed to. Pingston mentioned that insurance companies are having issues with houses with these panels. I don't know if that is true, but from what I experienced and what I have read, if you have one, you should replace it ASAP. The writeup on the special specifically mentioned they don't do drywall patching, so I do have some patching to do next to the panel. He had to work to get the new panel in where the original was. Not a complaint, just don't be surprised. Read what you're buying.

Inspected the electrical service in the house. Provided a detailed list of his comments and conclusion. Provided an estimate of costs to correct those items that he thought were deficient. His service was complete, but I felt the opinions were based on new house construction requirements, not necessarily for an older home. His cost estimates were complete but I thought them to be quite high.

I would hire this company for a future job.

Signed up for thr Angie List special for him to perform home electrical inspection. Honestly, was disappointed. As soon as he showed up (actually showed up 30 minutes early) he informed me that he would only be looking at items that would impact my home insurance. | |I told him that I was actually having problems with brown outs and a hallway light switch. He did explain that there was nothing he could do about the brown outs and that I needed to contact FPL. But he blew off the hallway light switch. Which is ironic - it is the item I would have hired him for. Instead I got a quote for additional surge protection and additional grouding for the house. | |He was professional his entire time at my house and probably does good work. I was just disappointed in what I received for the evaluation. I thougth it was going to be more complete. Not just a quick visual inspection and then try to sell me add ons.

When I evaluated what he submitted to me and made my choices, an appointment was made to work with my schedule. Brian, the electrician that did the work was prompt, courteous, respective of my requirements, efficient and willing to answer any questions that I had. A problem popped up the next day and Mr. Pingston responded immediately sending Brian out to resolve the problem in the tight time frame I had to work in, to my satisfaction. I would not hesitate to recommend Pingston Electric.

The cost of the job was setup based on time and materials .
