Description of Work: Miscellaneous plumbing matters,to include: replaced kitchen fauset assembly, corrected drain stopper problems and replaced toilet flusher assembly. Very courteous serviceman, did an excellent job and left the areas neat and clean. Will definitely use Doug Hambel again when needed.

Description of Work: Dave had to clean out the sewer line for one of the bathrooms going thru the vent on the roof. He analyzed the problem from the answers I gave to his questions and explained what he would do to fix the problem. I thought I had a very serious problem but Dave was able to rectify the true problem very quickly. It has been 9 days now and everything is working fine. I am very pleased with Dave and Doug Hambels Plumbing. I will definrtly use them in the future and will highly recommend them.

They stuck to the price regardless of the fact that the part that he ended up needing was more expensive than the one that he had originally quoted me. He is an honest business man as far as I am concerned. His prices are just average. I will use them in the future.

+ -1 moreI would highly recommend this provider, because they came out Christmas Eve to fix the garbage disposal. How many companies would do that! I am having them back out to fix a leak in the sink. They are on time, honest, and affordable. I can't recommend them enough.

+ -1 moreI had trouble replacing a shower control cylinder myself and had to call a plumber. The plumber arrived as scheduled and made a quick repair. The expertise was truly needed given the complication of the impacted part. I have used Doug Hambel's plumbing before and will again when needed.

Description of Work: The Hambel team coordinated with framers and tilers to remove and reinstall a jetted tub. They were prompt and friendly. There was a problem with who was in charge of what within the office but they were quick to resolve the issue. I was disappointed in that there seemed to be a bit of competition between employees involved in installation. I still have a problem with the turn off valve for the jetted tub and altho they came out , they never tested the tub for the full 30 minutes as advised per installation instructions. I still have problems turning off the jets and their response was-"they seem to work" even tho I told them the line was kinked leading to the switch per visual observation . Overall they were polite and the office responded in a professional manner. I was disappointed in the follow up and readiness to blame the manufacturer per the installation team. . But I wil continue to work with them to resolve the issue. It helps if you don't have a job and can be available-- . It is mixed bag- polite, office quick to respond but quality seemed geared toward large jobs, not the individual.

+ -1 moreA portion of plumbing under my sink began leaking, then broke, spewing water over 25% of my house. I turned off the water to the entire house as a result. The next day I called Doug Hamble's Plumbing. Making the appointment was easy and the plumber was on time and very courteous. He even put on/took off covering from his shoes as he came into and out of my house, keeping my floors clean. He was pleasant. He immediately went to work and knew right away what the problem was and why it happened. He replaced the faulty portions and advised me that this repair should also keep me from having a problem with my plumbing that I had not called him about - a minor problem that I had just become accustomed to. The bill was reasonable. I feel confident that I had chosen the RIGHT plumber and would absolutely recommend them.
Description of Work: Removed and replaced the portion of plumbing under my kitchen sink that had leaked, then burst.

+ -1 moreThe drains in the master bathroom were stopped - backing up first in the tub - and then from the toilet seal at the bottom of the toilet. I assumed that the stoppage was just hair from the shower - as this has happened before. I removed the toilet myself however I could not clear the drains. I called at 2PM and Steve the plumber was here on time. He worked very (very) quickly - and was quiet but personable. He snaked the drain from the roof vent - and cleared the clog. He then helped me re-install the toilet and the and the toilet drain seal properly and spotted a problem...the previous owner had apparently dumped tile grout into the toilet and this was partially blocking the flow - he cleared this problem too. All of this was performed in 1-1/2 hours and the charge was about $200. Considering his attention to detail - fast work - and good results - I was happy that it was only 200. I would certainly use this company again...and would feel comfortable suggesting them to others.
Description of Work: Cleared the drains using plumbing snake and re-installed a toilet.

+ -1 moreThey were excellent. They had good quality, they came when they said they would come, and they did an excellent job. It cost a lot more than I thought it would be but I didn’t do any competitive shopping so I’m not sure if it was a lot more than others.
Description of Work: Doug Hembel’s Plumbing has done work for us twice. I had my kitchen redone and they did a little work once the counters were in.

+ -1 moreMr. Smith did the whole job in one and one half hours including a trip back to his shop for a necessary part. He also installed the filter in the garage making the replacement in the future very easy for me to accomplish. He left the job site clean and in order.
Description of Work: Experienced a water leak in the copper line from our kitchen sink to the icemaker in the refrigerator. The line ran under our fixed worktable in the center of the kitchen, and water was leaking from under the table. Upon the recommendation of a neighbor I called Doug Hambel Plumbing. The repair visit was scheduled for the next morning, and one of their plumbers arrived on time. He quickly evaluated the situation, and determined that we would not have to remove the worktable to fix the problem. The refrigerator was located next to the wall to our garage. Immediatelly on the other side of tha wall is our water heater. Chris Smith, our plumber, ran a water line from the cold water pipe at the water heater, and attached the line to our ice maker. He also installed a water filter as the original line came from our master water filter thus giving us filtered water to the ice maker.
