Very courteous and helpful phone service with Vanessa. A few quotes from other companies I thought were high. Doug Hambel’s plumming quoted a resionable rate. They sent out qualified individuals to remove and replace our unit very quickly. I would highly recommend!! JOE

Doug Hambel's Plumbing sent an excellent team to re-pipe my condo. They were first class technicians and performed professionally. They explained what & how the job would be executed, They answered my questions to my satisfaction when deciding the details of the best solution. They were friendly and well mannered. They even befriended out 15 lb Attack Poodle. All three of the technicians definitely knew what they were doing, crawling around in the rafters and working in tight quarters, and not one curse word!

Web site said free estimate, I offered a video recently taken by another licensed plumber of the possible problem, would not accept video, wanted to charge me another $250 to video the sewer line before giving me an estimate. So much for customer service and free estimate. I have 3 rental properties, I guess they don't want my business now or in the future. I am a licensed Real Estate agent in Maryland and own a property rehab company in Maryland. Most companies in Maryland will use another licensed plumber's video as a guide to providing an estimate otherwise if I want two or three estimates for a job I would have to pay each plumber to video the line independently and pay a $250-300 fee. That is ludicrous.

Fine Called and someone came out the same day and repaired system

He brought 2 guys with him. They were goofing around and inappropriate. He said that both guys were apprentices so he had to supervise the one through the whole process, while the other one just stood around. I didn't really like being used for a teaching experience, and I thought the price was excessive.

Doug Hambel was the fifth plumber that I called. One cancelled on me the day before the installation, two never called me back and one said it would be four weeks before they could get out. Someone from Doug Hambel came out quickly to look at the job so they could quote it. It took a couple of weeks before they gave me a quote. I was about to give up on them when they called with a reasonable quote, less than the first quote when the plumber cancelled. I was very happy when they scheduled the job two working days after I accepted the quote. Three very professional men came out exactly on time. When they unpacked the tub they noticed a small scratch. One gentleman took the tub back to the warehouse and quickly came back with a tub while the other two continued working. They installed the tub quickly and professionally and left the bathroom as clean as when they arrived. I couldn't imagine a better experience.

Called Hambel Plumbing mid day. Office personnel very friendly, set our appointment up for next day with a two hour window of arrival and gave us a call half hour ahead of arrival time. Prompt timing, very proficient. In & out. No mess, cleaned up work area. Plumber pleasant, polite, knowledgeable. After using two previous Plumbing companies and two fly by night "wish they were Plumbers", this Doug Hambel Plumbing was GREAT. Price wise - very reasonable. Keeping in mind cheap can be a 2 hour job with a reputable Plumber or a 5 hour job with a "wanna be" . Cost is the same but the outcome can sure be devastating!!! Thank you Hambel Plumbing.

I phoned their office on Monday 3/14/16 and explained that my mother's kitchen sink faucet was broken and unusable. She lives in a mobile home and we needed them to come out and measure before ordering the new sink and faucet. They sent out a plumber late Tuesday afternoon and we recieved our measurement of 19"x33". So far so good. Then we attempted to visit their office and speak to someone about ordering what we needed to get the job done. The ordering person was not avialable. My husband returned the following day, she still was not available but he was assured he would receive a quote via email the follow day. I called Friday at 2:00pm and was told Kimberly was with a customer and would call me back. I questioned if they were even interested in our business and was put on hold. Kimberly came to the phone and said she would have a quote to us via email soon. I called at 4pm concerned that we did not have a quote yet and the close of business was fast approaching. We received the quote Friday after hours so of course we would not be able to get anything on order until Monday morning. On Monday morning 3/21/16 I once again had to wait for a call back. When the call finally came 1.5 hours later I was told that the sink would take 5 days to come in after the order had been placed. The week prior I was told they could have the sink in a day or two. At this point, due to my complete frustration that my elderly mother had been living without water in her kitchen for a week, I told them I had decided to go another route. I was able to order the same sink they offered for $35 less but found a comparable one for $60.98 less at Home Depot. It will take another 4 days for the sink to come in but we will be waiting either way. If I had known what I would go through with Doug Hambel's Plumbing I could have ordered the sink last week when this began and it would have been installed by another plumber by now. Instead my mother will have to wait another week to have water in her kitchen. I will never use the services of Doug Hambel's Plumbing again nor do I recommend them.

The provider came several times to clear drain and replace toilet tank vale. Ryan came twice and Mike came the last time. Ryan was sweet. I had to call them out again because the work was incomplete. Mike was very rude and I called and spoke Sharlene to tell about my experience and she was rude as well. In total I have reached out to them 4 times. Their attitudes overshadow any work with this company.

Everything went well. Doug even came back on one call to check on an issue his assistant noticed. They left a clean work site as well.

Before Thanksgiving I had a leak in a bathroom where another plummer came out twice to fix. After Christmas it was still leaking. The small leak suddenly turned to be a large leak. Some friends on Facebook recommended Doug Hambel plumbing. I called on a Friday afternoon when the leak left the toilet unusable. They came out the next morning even tho they are closed on Saturday. They were here for a couple of hours and did a lot of work. They removed a lot of roots from the pipes which leads to my septic tank. Very knowledgeable and friendly.

We contacted the provider based on other Angie's ratings. The technician arrived promptly at 9:00 AM (scheduled arrival was 9-noon), took about 45 minutes to remove the disposer, clean it and reinstall it. He was very thorough, didn't make a mess and didn't want all our money to do the job. The price of $85 was a little low, in our opinion. Overall, excellent work.

Needed washing machine valves replaced due to a slow leak. Called office on Thu, and work was scheduled for Mon 11am-2pm. Office called letting me know plumber was on his way over to the house. Plumber showed up around 1:45pm and completed job around 2:15. Nice person to work with and great price for work done. Would highly recommend and use again.

This company has done superb work. Seriously, my heros.

Dave was the person who was sent to perform the job When he arrived and went into the kitchen he knew exactly what the problem was very knowledge and knew what he was doing Cleaned up after himself and was very courteous 5 stars for Dave

Doug Hambel's Plumbing was able to send someone out the same day! I called around 11:30 am and Dave arrived at my home around 4:30. The person that worked at the office called me as a courtesy to let me know he was on his way and would arrive within 30 minutes. The person they sent was great! Dave knew exactly what the problem was as soon as he evaluated the situation wand went to work. He knew exactly how to proceed. Was professional and had the equipment on his truck to get the job done. Everything went as quoted on the phone. The minimum/maximum quite quoted on the phone was honored; no surprises! Will use again if I ever need a plumber.

I had some questions/concerns after the first visit. I contacted the office and they exceeded my expectations. They had someone return and the individual took time in listening to my concerns and informed of my options. Excellent and professional. I highly recommend Doug Hambel’s Plumbing

Called this A.M. Dave arrived here, as scheduled. He was very professional. He explained what needed to be done. He cleaned out the outside drain. He insisted we check whether the problem was resolved, by filling and emptying the washing machine and did not leave until he ascertained all was well. This was a great experience and will call them for future needs.

Minimal plumbing required. I was very busy and did not not have time to change it myself. They said it would take about an hour to do. I never thought it would take that long but decided to pay the minimum charge of $85 for an hour. When the plumber came he went slow and ran the job into two hours and charged me $170 + tax. I called and left message (no one answered) to complain but received no reply. This is a ridiculous charge to replace a garbage disposal. I could have done it myself in under an hour so you would expect a professional to do better. I suggest you try another plumbing company but if you have money you want to get rid of they will be perfect for you.

I've used them for several times, for running gas line for new gas stove, toliet repair etc. Recently I called the company because I had a leak under sink. They had someone there within 2 hours; ON A SATURDAY! . Fortunately the leak wasn't as bad as I thought.

We have used numerous times in the past. He is always on time and always keeps the customer informed of the appointment. Every work project was always been performed correctly the first time. We have a lot of confidence in him and he is always professional. He was able to come out on an emergency situation on a Saturday, and we were very pleased with their reaction.

We had a fantastic experience and will definitely call Doug Hambel's Plumbing in the future. The office staff were friendly and helpful, taking the time to explain things beforehand and even called a few times to update us when they knew their plumber was going to be a little late (our issue wasn't urgent--but even if it had been, the fact that they were so communicative was helpful and appreciated). When plumber Dave got here, he was professional and extremely knowledgable. He took the time to explain things every step of the way and also when I didn't understand (which was often--I've never owned a home, let alone one built in the '60s ripe for problems so I really needed the extra info). They were upfront about the cost and mindful of the time spent fixing the problem.
