The A Snoop Inspection were very good! They very finely with the feedback and very thorough in collecting reports. For my Overall experience, they were very positive and I recommend them.

Very well, I came in about two-thirds through the inspection. Jay (Inspector) brought me up to speed on his findings, and I was able to follow the inspector throughout his inspection falling back on area's that he needed to addressed with me, while at the same time asking various questions.

My realtor recommended Jay for a home inspection prior to my purchase of a home. I contacted Jay on a Monday morning, and luckily he was available for an inspection the following afternoon. He and his partner spent over two hours carefully examining the 975 square foot home and property. They went up into the very small and hot attic space to inspect the framing, insulation, ductwork, and uncovered a chimney from an old wood stove. They showed my husband every detail of areas of concern and gave very helpful tips on how to properly maintain our home. Our former home was new construction, so buying a nearly 60-year-old house is a new experience. We are a DIY family and not deterred by repairs, so I view Jay's inspection as the ultimate 'to-do" list. It was without a doubt the best $350 we could spend to ensure our new home will be a worthwhile investment for years to come. Their attention to detail is quite impressive. They checked every electric outlet (noting that several were not grounded), checked the A/C cooling rate at several vents over 30 minutes, ran all appliances, checked dates on the appliances when able, thoroughly examined the roof (which was a major point of concern in our home). They gave excellence advice about materials we could use when replacing the roof and performing other repairs and never once hinted about using their services or the services of other contractors they know. Unfortunately, the electric company did not turn the service on in time for his 2 p.m. appointment, but they stayed until after 4:30 until the electric company arrived so they could complete the inspection. During our wait he gave us tons of tips and we had a great time chatting and sharing fishing stories. I plan to hire Jay to come back to the house to inspect the roof again after it is replaced to make sure the work is done properly. I have zero hesitation recommending his services to anyone purchasing a home in the Tampa area.

Jay actually was recommended by a realtor we were dealing with for a house in Clearwater. He was the most reasonable of the 3 home inspectors I contacted plus he had a coupon. However, we backed out of the deal because jay caught some serious problems in the house that were not disclosed and definitely saved us a lot of regret, heartache and money. So when we did find a house the second time, we definitely wanted Jay to do our inspection again. He is a true professional and very familiar with just about everything in a home. He spent about 4 hours on the inspection and explained his findings, large or small, good or bad. His father, a retired contractor was with him and we felt like we had two experts checking out our future home. We received our reports in a timely manner and were pleased also with the way they were presented.

The part that impressed me the most is that he took the time to describe all aspects of the inspection in detail after being there for hours before I arrived. As a first time buyer I lacked confidence going into the process, but he made me feel confident that I knew exactly what I was buying. Finally weeks after the inspection my loan officer requested more information. Jay took my calls promptly and went the extra mile to provide the information requested. Which he clearly stated in the original inspection, but it was requested on a separate form. He performed the this with no hesitation or resistance.

Jay Smith spent many hours inspecting every inch of the home. He provided a thorough report for us to present to the owner so that we were able to come to the table with a fair price for what we were getting into. He saved us from paying a price that would not consider the repairs that needed to be made. We did not end up buying the house; which is fine because we had the knowledge to know the price the owner wanted was too high for what needed to be done. We also used Jay for another inspection and was able to find out many things wrong with this house. We knew we had to offer much lower to be able to cover the repairs or not take the place at all. In our house search, we will definitely use A Snoop Inspection's services again. He is thorough, honest, professional and informative. I would highly recommend this company's services.
