 + -1 moreIt went very well. They finished in the time they said they would and cleaned up thoroughly afterward.
Description of Work: I had noticed the sound of water running through the pipes in my house and thought there must be an undetected leak somewhere. When they cam out, it became clear through testing various systems, that it was a slab leak. It was suggested that the way to assure that I wouldn't have to contend with the problem in the future, or break through my kitchen floor (!), was to go ahead and re-pipe. I checked with various friends and found many people had had similar experiences with their older homes and that the pricing was comparable, if not better, than they had experienced. As I have an 1950's ranch home, it was not easy to access or reroute the plumbing, but they expertly figured out how to do it with the least amount breaking open walls, etc. They made sure everything worked, did it in a timely manner and guaranteed their work. They also gave me the option for areas that were exposed to come back in the future at no cost when I remodeled and place them behind the wall. I thought that was great! I was very satistifed with the experience and even had them back out to "jet" my lines as I was having slow drains. They also guaranteed that work. I will definitely have them back in the future as needed.

Description of Work: Supplied and put in two porcelain bathroom sinks with Delta faucets. Added faucets to my cultured marble sink. Put in stainless steel double overmount sink (8 " deep) in my kitchen and a new quality faucet (Delta) and hose. Attached my new garbage disposal. The parts supplied by the plumber would have been $700 retail so it is a good deal to use what the plumber supplies. When he supplies it, he guarantees it.

 + -1 moreCalled Boyte Plumbing Saturday night at 9:30pm and left a message. Received a call back within 30 minutes. Scheduled someone to come to the house in the morning between 9am and 10am. Dave called in the morning around 9:30am to inform me that he might be a little late. However, he showed up on time. He "snaked" the main drain from outside yard. He ran about 70 ft before it hit the stoppage and cleared it. He was here for about 40 minutes. Most of that time was locating the drain in the yard.
Description of Work: Had a stoppage in the main drain of the house. Boyte Plumbing unstopped the drain.

 + -1 moreArrived an hour after the initial call. Performed repairs in about 25 minutes. I had another company out earlier to give an estimate. Their estimate was $230 + a $39 service call fee. Very, very high. I paid the $39 service call fee and then called around and found Boyte.

 + -1 moreI liked them, they were professional. All plumbers are expensive but he was determined that the toilet wouldn't leak before he left. It was not a regular toilet, it had a certain design, he had to take the entire thing apart. There was a place between the top and bottom where water was gathering, and when he put it together he put a tissue there to see if there was still moisture, which there was and he did it again and was determined to get it fixed. He was very good, he only charged me about an hour.
Description of Work: Diagnosed and repaired a leak in one of my toilets. Improved the water pressure in my house.

 + -1 moreThey did a fantastic job on the tub spout. He had a difficult time getting a proper fit, and finally had to pull out the dishwasher and approach the problem from there. He was a tall man and this is a very small area to work in. But his diligence and patience paid off. The result is a beautifully perfectly fitting spout. Boyte plumbing doesn't give up 'til things are to their high standards.

 + -1 moreFound no root intrusion from tree. He determined that the pipe was intact but was bowed due to root growth. About 3/4 of an hour. Ran snake wile in pipe and I was able to feel the vibration, which demonstrated the course of the pipe and it was right through the root system. No obstruction or root material was encountered by the snake.
Description of Work: Snaked sewer drain. From roof and from clean-out to city hook-up.

 + -1 moreThe discharge hose from the washing machine had been leaking and backing up into the kitchen sink. I called to make an appointment and was pleasantly surprised to find out that a plumber was actually in the neighborhood. He showed up at the time he said he would, did what he had to do and answered all my questions. This is the second time I have used Boyte and I will use them again, when needed.
Description of Work: Discharge hose from washing machine was leaking and also backing up into the kitchen sink. Mr. Stewart came out and snaked out the main clean-out in the back of the house and from the roof. He also checked to be sure that the water was running from the house to the street by checking the main clean-out in the front yard. Very professional.

 + -1 moreAn outside pipe was broken. He was very courteous on the phone, and he arrived sooner than I expected. He worked quickly and replaced the broken pipe on the outside of my home. He did a great job. I've used them before, and I will definitely call them again. The cost, at $89, was lower than I thought it would be.
Description of Work: An outside pipe was broken from a lawn mower from the lawn company. He replaced the section of pipe on the outside of the house.

 + -1 moreThe water flow in the master shower was slow and getting slower. Boyte came out, assessed the issue (water re-stricter clogged/damaged) and repaired/replaced it. Boyte was called at 2:00 p.m and set an appt. for 12:00-1:00 p.m the following day. They showed up on time and were done within an hour. In Fl the issue is 1) Getting a repair person and 2) Getting the work actually done. To have Boyte show up the next day, on time, and complete the work was fabulous.

 + -1 moreReplaced leaking cracked pipe from water heater to house. Pipe was in a limited access crawl space that other plumbers had refused to access without tearing up the floor or wall. This company was able to fix it in a timely manner without any destruction and the workmen were polite and helpful in the process. I had been without hot water for two weeks so needless to say I was quite thankful for their services.

 + -1 moreI have used Boyte several times before and have been very happy until now. I called Boyte to remove and reinstall the plumbing as a result of a new countertop. My countertop installer said he would do the job at a less expensive price and canceled the job with Boyte. The countertop installer performed the job but had problems with one line and could not stop it from leaking. I called Boyte to repair the line. They called back the day of the install and said, in a very rude manner, that they would not fix the leak since I canceled with them and used the countertop guy instead. They told me to get the countertop installer to fix the leak and that they would not fix the leak since I canceled with them. I stated, "What does it matter who installed it?" After he responded angrily to me, I hung up the phone. This company took the matter very personally and did not act in a professional manner. They were rude to me and spoke to me in an angry tone.
Description of Work: The company refused to correct a problem caused by another company for work that was not performed correctly.
