Elite Cuts Landscaping

Very bad. My money is gone is no service.

Poorly never able to schedule with them.

I started using Elite Cuts almost a year ago for my routine lawn maintenance. I am not one to recommend someone until I have a feel for the quality of their work. From the beginning, Rick has been responsive, asking questions, open to my suggestions and wants while giving me well informed reasoning as to why I might not want to do that or to do it a little differently. The crew that comes out is professional, courteous, and effective and the job is done well every time; I think I have only had to mention a minor issue twice (more accurately, my pickiness) and it was immediately taken care of and never occurred again.

Let me start off by saying that the crew did a really nice job on the bushes along the front of the house and the 2 Gardenia bushes. Plus I have 8 Foot Ficus hedges that runs down one side of my house and across the back yard. These were trimmed as well, which is a big job. I asked them to lay some mulch in a certain area in a certain shape which was done nicely. I also had them replant a small tree that was not done correctly by a friend. I was very happy with the job and they cleaned up everything.

William called me right after purchasing the deal. We scheduled an appointment and he called to confirm date and time. We discussed at length what I wanted done. He was very responsive to my requests. They arrived on time and went straight to work. We walked around my lot and we reviewed what was being done and he made sure I was happy with the project. When it was all done, he asked again if I was happy and if everything was done to my liking. It was. I will definitely hire Elite Cits landscaping again.

Well he came on time. Asked me What I wanted done I pointed to all that I needed done And they went to work. And I do mean work. Cleaned the Whole yard up The sides and back of the y ard And the front,. I could not belive How good it looked when I came out. I would recommend him to everyone..I am soooo pleased and I guess my dog is to. he won't be coming in with spirs on his hair anymore. :)

They never showed up to do the work twice and never contacted me. Very poor customer service.

They came out the day after I called them. They were fabulous! They were enthusiastic and worked really hard all day long. They did a wonderful job with the service overall. I am going to have them back to do more.

Will and his team were bombarded due to the special they ran, so they were not able to get the job done as quickly as I would have liked, however, when you buy a deal on Angie's List I think you need to accept that and be okay with it. He was very nice and professional. His crew came out this past Saturday and removed all of the bushes in our backyard and hauled them off. They also shrunk the size of the beds by laying down a palet of sod. The workers were pollite and they hustled. The work was done exactly to my request and liking. The price was very fair and I would hire these guys again. I recommend this group to anyone who is looking for assistance with their landscaping.

I contracted Elite Cuts through an AL Local deals. Marc, the owner contacted me as promised and asked to come view the property. Thank Goodness he did because the scope of the entire job required additional cost and resources. Marc was proactive and thoughtful in his planning. He really listened to what I wanted and came through with creative suggestions. Upon agreement of the work/price Marc let me know he would schedule the job and let me know by text. He was in touch and the crew came as scheduled. The crew leader was responsive and got his team organized and on the job. I had to leave on a scheduled appointment and the crew leader called regarding a task. Very responsive to my needs. I was very impressed. When I returned home I was amazed by the transformation. They cut tree limbs, cut back scrubs, cut weeds and unearthed the backyard that had been hidden. The amount of cut landscaping filled their truck! The guys were as happy with my response as I was to have my backyard back. I enthusiastically recommend ELITE CUTS and Marc for any landscaping project.

Nothing!! I had serveral spots I had to rearrange for (his only can do this on Saturdays business). Made arrangements with him never showed never called. I had to send a message to him through Angie's List page finally wrote back on Angies List page instead of calling to let me know that he would not be here. Then said he could do it next Saturday.

After finalizing on a date for the work to be done, they called 2 evenings beforehand to again confirm the date (which was appreciated). Rick and his crew showed up on time. I reviewed what needed to be done with Rick, and in the meantime the crew started right in. They were all very professional, friendly and did a fantastic job! And they cleaned up afterwards as well. Rick ensured the job was done as requested before they left, and it certainly was - I would definitely call them again.

From start to finish, everything was accomplished without any problems. Rick and his team arrived early in the morning (as promised) and went right to work. He made sure that the job was to my liking by checking with me every once and awhile and he answered my questions to my complete satisfaction. When the job was finished, they hauled away all of the trash and cleaned up. No fuss, no mess, no drama. This my second timed using Elite Cuts and I will definitely be using them in the future.

Scheduling was a nightmare and they used a poor quality product. They did not complete all of the work and we had to complete it ourselves. If it sounds to good to be true run away do not walk.

Service was very friendly and pulled a lot of weeds from a very messy yard.

I purchased a $149.00 certificate for "six-hours of landscaping and yard maintenance" on 1-25-2015. The owner, Richard, made arrangements to visit my home to see what I wanted done. He did the hard sell about not making any money on the certificate and wanted additional work. I finally agreed to another $100.00 for weed removal and palm tree trimming AFTER the six hours of labor was completed. I live on 5 acres and 2 ½ acres are above water. He arrived at my home on 2-6-2015 at 8:40 AM and then knocked on my door at 9:55 AM and said he was done and wanted payment. I verified with the guard house and with phone records that his actual work time was 1 hour and 15 minutes. He said he had a worker with him, which would then equate to 2 hours and 30 minutes of labor. When I pointed out that the certificate was for 6 hours of labor, he said that he worked fast and wanted an additional $100.00 for the weed trimming. In other words, he was charging me $200.00 per hour for two men which was $100.00 per man per hour! I WAS SHOCKED! In the short time he worked, he mowed the lawn, trimmed some weeds and didn't even edge. He had the audacity to tell me that mowing the lawn wasn't part of "lawn maintenance"! He said that he used a riding lawnmower, broke a blade and that heavy equipment wasn't part of the deal. What? The mower he used was equivalent to what my husband uses. How can you maintain a lawn without using a lawn mower?? He tried to bully and intimidate me into paying the additional $100.00 and said that I had agreed to it. His argument was preposterous! The certificate says SIX HOURS period! It doesn?t say if I damage my equipment I?m going to leave 3 ½ hours early and try to get you to pay an additional $100.00 on top of it. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. He finally called me a LIAR and I told him to leave my property and never come back. The most disturbing thing is that he shows an A rating on Angie?s List. I wish I had taken the time to read the other negative reviews about him instead of arbitrarily believing the A rating. I would never, under any circumstances recommend this company to anyone. He will never be allowed on my property again.

Firstly Mark was very professional. He called when he said would. Showed up promptly at the time agreed upon. He and his men were courteous, anxious to please and were very accommodating in all aspects of the job. I would definitely recommend him(and already have) and would use him again. He truly went above and beyond making sure I was completely satisfied with the work . I also moved plants around during the job and and he made some good suggestions for placement. He was also quite patient!! Enjoyed working with him and his crew. Good work Mark..Thanks again!!

Marc and his team were professional, polite, quick and they accomplished so much in the time they were at my home. I am recommending them to all my friends.

They arrived the Sunday (Feb 1) before to take a look at the property and see what I wanted done. They were very courteous and professional. I was told I would be contacted after they saw the other people and scheduled everyone. I was shocked to see them ringing my bell early this Saturday morning (Feb 7). I received a phone call that morning while I was still sleeping ( it was before 8am) and it went into my message center. When I listened to it they were telling me they were on the way to my house. I never received a call the day/night prior to their arrival. I live in a gated community and had not called in their name to the gatehouse. I am surprised the guard let them in. Adding to the confusion, my HOA had decided to cut all the Palm and banana trees on Thursday (Feb 5) which I had planned Elite Cuts to do. I had decided that when they called to schedule I would have them come at a latter date when things grew back. Well, a crew was already here so we walked around to see what else could be done. I did not think I had 6 hours worth of work for them to do. They did an amazing job. Everything looks nice and neat. There were more hours of work to be done because the place looks so much better now. They cleaned up after themselves and everyone was very nice. I will definitely have them come again when things start to grow again. I know I can rely on Elite and be happy with their service.

They were supposed to arrive between 10 and noon, but I received a phone call at 12:30, stating they would be later in the day, between 3:30 -4:00 pm. So, I left and planned on returning around 3 pm. My son was there and he texted me and said they arrived around 2:40 pm and they were working in the back yard. I told him to make sure they did a good job and I would be over around 4 pm. They should have stayed until 4:40 pm, but when I arrived at 4pm, they were already gone. I asked my son why they were gone and he said that he traded some "time" for weed killer. They suggested if they sprayed the weeds, they would die and he could just pull them out easily in a few days. I was really unhappy that he permitted them to shirk this job, because they clearly did not want to do this work, especially so late in the day. The back yard looks better than it did, but in no way did they do a good job. I was very disappointed in their lack of professionalism in trying to get out of their commitment.

It all went so smoothly and quickly. They went fast and got lots done whereas if they had gone more slow, not as much would get done in the time alloted.

Mark and his crew of two men arrived promptly at the scheduled time and---with only minimum guidance as to how we wanted the small plants and trees to be planted---quickly began working on our landscaping project. Unlike other landscaping personnel I had previously used where English language had been a problem, all three individuals were native English speakers and communication was NOT a problem. This crew appeared to take pride in their work and we were impressed as to how quickly the project proceeded. Whenever there was a question as to how something should be done, Mark brought the matter to our attention for a decision BEFORE proceeding to do the work. While the scope of work exceeded the original 6 hours for which we had initially contracted Elite Cuts Landscaping, Mark agreed to charge us the SAME DISCOUNTED hourly rate for our additional 6 hours labor. All in all, we were TOTALLY satisfied with the work Mark and his crew provided and would DEFINITELY re-hire them for another landscaping project.

After I contacted Rick, he showed up to give me an estimate and explained what they would do. It was very over grown. They cut it back, raked and cleaned out behind it as well. It grew back thick and full and looks beautiful.
